Vanish is probably the only easy defense mechanic imo. If you're trying to time with getting hit, aim for before you get hit. Conversely, if you want to do the hardest mechanic of super counter, hitting up and square/x on xbox when being hit, that *does* have to be when the hit lands.
All with practice my friend! In 1 week it'll all come together. I still have trouble managing my ki because I'm too aggressive so that's something I gotta improve on. Taking opportunities to charge ki
This is probably a horrible comparison.. but im a magican.. and the first trick i wanted to learn was a very hard sleight.. that changes one card into another in a split second... point is i gave up with in the first few attempts.. woke up 3 days later and was determined to learn it.I didn't stop until i had it down consistently.. It took 4 hours a day and two weeks to learn one damn move....now im pretty damn decent at sleight of hand...if you have passion and the will to learn..YOU WILL get better at this beautiful game.

I've actually gotten pretty damn good with super counters, when the ai super counters me i do it back to them and it always brings a smile to my face. Some things are easier to super counter than others, so just recognize the timing and eventually you will get it down! Now of course don't get too cocky, just simply vanish when you know it isn't possible.
Day 1 it felt incredibly random. But now it's easy to execute at will knowing the block first hit is key. Also makes it comfortable to play slower to drain enemies ki
Hey man I wanted to thank you I got to 40 hits with a character trying to get 50 and beyond thank you for showing me how to get different routes for combos
There should be a training mode for cpu to dash towards you. I usually train with full powered jiren as cpu and bought counter training strategy. That mode is so good to learn for players that spam counters
The problem is not that you can't counter these things the problem is that it's inconsistent. One time youll be using ki blasts to stop Z burst dash (the fast one that puts you behind) and it'll work, the next time you'll be eating a rush for no reason. Or the ki blasts will connect and you'll be in range but for some reason the rush just wont combo and you're eating a sonic sway.
i think there is just one saying a lot of players need to know. the problem is not that it's inconsistent, YOU'RE inconsistent. if the rush doesn't combo, obviously the ai countered it, as you said.
Note : ( Standard controls ) After sonic sway press Square and X you have two options, you can either do a launch by pressing no follow up buttons after the initial square and x input or keep pressing square to activate a combo follow up
Great for keeping up pressure and taking advantage of them losing Ki. I have a question if you know, What triggers the longer animation sonic sway? I noticed there are short sways and longer ones. Problem with this game is it isn’t deep/complex enough for the lower ranked characters that aren’t fusions or OP sayains to really stand a chance in the long run. It all comes down to counter timing which in a few weeks will have the online looking like a ping pong match. So if two players have a semi similar skill level, the player with the better character will win 99% of the time. Nothing about that is competitive. Characters need to be placed into a tier list depending on their stats/abilities. That would make it fair. You wanna play SS4 Gogeta? No worries bro, enjoy fighting other OP characters. You wanna play Hercule? Cool, you can fight other weak characters. This would make it more competitive. To everyone who cries about wanting the whole roster. That’s what DP battles are for. I still think they should remove perception, or atleast change it so it only works if you get the frame perfect timing. Most matches are just “counter, counter the counter, counter the counter, vanish, vanish the vanish etc” it gets very samey. It’s a beautiful game, it just needs a little work to remove the cheese.
Training mode against a full team for one hour every day with them on max aggressive or adjusted to the level of your choice. I promise you will see an improvement within a week
Same I’ll be pressing every damn button and nothing happens meanwhile my opponent is zooming behind me every second and doing a 500 hit combo.. maybe I’m not mashing buttons fast enough or my connection ain’t good enough but it feels like this game is less skill based and more finger speed mashing based 💀
It’s either the controller or you. It’s all about timing. You can’t do things too early or to late there’s a sweet spot in the timing windows for all counters dodges and blocks
@@BltzZ exactly. Im not trippin over it. Ive delt w it when i was 8 on BT1 im just complaining to complain honestly. Ive heard talks of nerfing the game and i really hope they dont. From Software doesnt nerf their games this early. And theyre way harder😂 this games all mechanics

Holding perception drains your ki a little bit
Gotta put the enemy on ssj4 gogeta since everyone uses him in rank
This is true lol picking up blugito cuz im tired of it
@@BltzZ never fold. stay true lol
@@fellerz_ Lol Blugito is actually worse than Super Vegito so theres some merit
@@BltzZ Staying true and using my boy Perfect Cell lol
@@fellerz_ LOOK AT HIS PERFECT FORM ITS PERFECT ❤️
Meanwhile I'm still just trying to get decent against the AI 😂
Just a tip from some old Tenkaichi blood, not enough people talk about the utilities of explosive wave and it's many clones, and new variants. Especially when talking about options for opponents behind you. That's all, no disrespect.
I just started using adult SSJ2 Gohan and he has it. Super useful to frustrate enemies who win the vanish battle lol
Anyone got advice for how to know what you’re defending? I feel like the opponent moves so fast that I can’t notice what/when I need to trigger som def moves
In this game defence is best offence
Absolutely
Can we get a giant character combo guide please? I dont think one has been posted by anyone else yet
Play tenkaichi man come on😂😂😂😂 it’s not hard all moves are there
bro its a giant figure it out
Guide would help
Why the f you people need guides for everything , maybe just go to training and check for yourself, wtf is this, all i see on internet are guides for this that and ppl asking for this and that its not f rocket science , unless all of you are actually challenged i refuse to believe gaming community became such a bunch of losers
I don’t have lift strikes, how’d u get it? If u remember
Should be up+triangle or y
@@BltzZ thx gang
Okay so do I hold up and keep hitting square or do I have to do both at the perfect time?
Do both at the perfect time.
Welcome back
Do u have to press up every time or can u hold it.?
You have to press up everytime
Its crazy i cant even hit some players online, kinda ruins the fun when you dont even have a chance now im watching this shit 😂
I cant remember most of the controls during the fights and the training mode doesnt help me
Training mode against a full team for one hour every day with them on max aggressive or adjusted to the level of your choice. I promise you will see an improvement within a week
For super counters, can you hold up?
no u gotta frame perfect stick up sqaure
I feel like some buttons do not register at all. I try to block but it never works
Same I’ll be pressing every damn button and nothing happens meanwhile my opponent is zooming behind me every second and doing a 500 hit combo.. maybe I’m not mashing buttons fast enough or my connection ain’t good enough but it feels like this game is less skill based and more finger speed mashing based 💀
Might need a new controller just for this game bro. Your controller might have a small issue that doesn't effect u in less fast paced games.
It’s either the controller or you. It’s all about timing. You can’t do things too early or to late there’s a sweet spot in the timing windows for all counters dodges and blocks
Yeah and spamming buttons definitely isn't a guarantee.
Does someone know if for super counters can you just hold up and press square (x) or do you have to flick up and press square (x) at the same time?
You can hold up and time square I’ve done it many times still can’t time it right so I mash it lol
@@Kendreee lol it’s hard and I mash it too 🤣😂
I honestly found less success with that way. But if it works go for it. Lab it out! I personally push up + Square simultaneously
Nice video.
My problem is even when i do that counter the ai just flies back behind me the ai is a bit spammy😂
@@NotGettinHatch they definitely are and it's brutal. But great practice to be over efficient
The timing for this counter is so fucked up bro 😭
you dont have to be blocking to sonic sway
Ai is input reading never fight AI if you wanna get good online.
and the netcode is not the best you can have the absolute best timing it’s still random hahaha 1-3f window actions on semi good netcode is roulette.
Rank c4 I started online play yesterday it's really fun!!
