I’m quitting vaping for the 2nd time now. I’m in day 4. It makes me sad seeing young teens addicted to it because I know how bad the withdrawals are and how damaging it is to your body. As every smoker will tell you don’t start.

Yeah never start, never start smoking, never start vaping. I've smoked for about 9 years and now i am 2 1/2 years off of it and it was not easy, it is not easy even now, yes ok most of the time i am not thinking about it anymore but sometimes my mind just changes and i just want to have a smoke. But now i have mechanisms to break that craving and it goes away after 10 minutes or so and it only comes 1-2 times a month, only when i am drinking it is still extremly hard but it get's less. I really wish that i never started and that i had done what my parents and everyone in my family was telling telling me, never to start, but if you are a teen you think otherwise and think that you know more and that you will not make the same mistake and get addicted and that you can controll it, wich is right at first but after a while you are not only smoking on the weekends you are smoking a few after school and yeah it get's more and more and by the time you realise you have withdrawal symptoms if you are not doing it it is to late... I really wish that i have never started, because it is really really hard to kick an addiction and i wish it to no one. I hope that you are still not doing it and even if you have relapsed you should try again and again. I tryd 5 times and the fifth times was the time that i worked because i was thinking while smoking a cigarette "ok now i stopf that was the last one" and i threw away every last cigarette and never touched one since. So i wish you the best and stay strong, everyone can do it, you need to be ready and if you are not try again like i said, never give up!
any one who sees this. once u quit once. and come back later ( months -years ) u know u can .and it gets less difficult to stop. also caffeine as a substitute helped me personally.

I quit 5 months ago. Best decision of my life. I forget how far I’ve come. I no longer waste time or money on something I don’t need. I feel healthier and sleep/wake up better.

Same opinion as me. I'm 40. Saw when you could smoke cigs anywhere, saw the war against cigs, everyone was onboard, then vapes come out and no one really cared. Pretty weird. I even see people who vape look down on cig smokers. Addicts sure like to lie to themselves.

Consider yourself lucky. Our 13 year old son put a gun to his head five weeks ago. We had no idea he was vaping and occasionally smoking weed. We didn't know about any of it until after the fact. We've determined he probably started vaping anywhere from mid February to possibly as far back as December and got his own vape and was vaping daily for exactly one month, up until the incident. His mental health took a nose dive in such a short period of time, we didn't even have a chance to notice anything. The effects of vaping in adolescents is incredibly damaging. I wish we had a chance to help him

I was one of the “not my kid”. But yes , my nice sweet kid is turning into a problem at 14. Does anything to vape cbd or nicotine vapes or even ones that dont have anything but flavor yet ruin your health . We’re clashing left and right now. He’s threatened to run away .

i just vaped today because I felt really excluded with my friends and people and I felt peer pressuredbecause my friends always asking me if i want a hit. I tried for the first time today and it was okay, didnt really tfeel much besides the rasberry taste but my chest felt a bit weird as if something was clogged inside and I have asthma so Ill try not to do it much

ive been vaping as a 16 for about two months now. I’m telling you that first hit from a vape, or that first buzz you get hooks you. i always told myself i would never vape as a teen, but here i am now. attempting to quit it. my best advice is don’t even hit it once if it’s offered to you. It’s a waste of time and money for a quick 20 second buzz.

My friend is addicted to nicotine vaping and I've tried so many times to tell her how dangerous it is but she won't even try to quit. I know it's her choice but I'm so worried about her. She's only recently turned 13 and she can't go more than an hour without it

Nicotine is more pysch than physical, so whenever they experience happiness, stress, and noredom, they get a craving to vape. This constant administration causes the brain to develop tolerance, necessitating increase dosage of the drug to come close to feel those initial highs (chasing the dragon).
In short, nicotine is a step below the addticveness of her0in.

It's possible for you to fucking stop you just don't have the willpower and you say you have depression while you stop smoking sure you may have some form of depression but you don't have actual depression if you are actually willing to stop smoking or vaping then you would have stopped many years ago it's not impossible to stop it's just quite hard
Good luck everyone, gonna be 2 months clean from vaping (24/7 for 5 years)a week from today still been hard but nic gum has been clutch. One day the cig community will give respect to vape addiction.🙏🏻Nicotine may not be the only addictive thing in cigarettes but there’s much more of it in the vapes we use, so given that the other additives in cigarettes aren’t nearly as addictive as nicotine, it at the very least balances out in terms of how addictive smoking and vaping are(but then you factor in how much easier you can abuse vapes by being able to do it virtually anywhere with the proper precautions which is why many ppl including my and many other doctors consider vaping to be harder to quit when one starts with it). Cigarettes being unhealthier/having more then 1 addictive chemical doesn’t mean they’re harder to quit. Doesn’t mean it’s not insanely hard for you guys to quit as well to acknowledge that we aren’t the “soft Gen Z kids who don’t know what real addiction is like”
Also: notice I said the vapes we use and start with(50 mg nic strength), I encourage all smokers to explore the different dose options with vaping to get off cigs cus there’s a lot of them to pick from and it’s a step in the right direction as far as science can tell rn

I started vaping about 6 months ago due to peer pressure and now I can't quit and I wasted so much money on it and I have severe asthma really need to quit but it's so hard because I struggle with so many addictions I'm finally sober from alcohol and pills I think I'm finally ready to start sobering up from smoking ~ a lonely sixteen-year-old girl

Another hard thing is the social aspect(maybe the hardest part)cus when everyone’s vaping/smoking around u even when they know ur tryna quit it’s wicked hard to not break. I’m sure ur around my age and eventually ur friends will be more mature ab helping each other if they want to quit, don’t be too hard on urself tho it’s very common, you have to be 100% ready in order to quit since it’s not easy rewiring ur brain when it will constantly try to get u back into smoking, I trust ull reach that point in the not too distant future tho maybe just start with doing it even just a little bit less.

Juuling isn't actually hard to quit. It does take some effort, but not nearly as addictive as cigarettes, or caffeine, or sugar. Kids just don't care to quit, and say they are addicted because they like it and don't want to stop

Bro what are you talking about. The only thing in cigarettes that's addictive is nicotine, at least to my knowledge. It's so much easier to get hooked on vaping because it doesn't taste like shit. You have to develop a taste for cigarettes before you can get addicted. And as for caffeine, I've tried both that and nicotine (via vape). One hit of nicotine and I wanted more, but I've never been addicted to coffee. Some weeks I drink coffee everyday, and some I don't drink it at all. Stop talking out of your ass. Like you said, most people just don't care to stop, that's psychological addiction. Physical addiction is what causes withdrawal. Just because you can't get past the psychological addiction doesn't mean you're not addicted, it's just a different form of addiction.

Honestly I don’t see how vaping is addictive. I was curious and brought a vape pen at the gas station. All it did was give me a head ache and I almost felt like passing out I was so dizzy. I wasted $10 and threw it away. I didn’t feel good at all

The vaping community doesn't and never has condoned underage use, just like most of the world population doesn't condone underage alcohol use. If you removed flavours from alcohol the argument would be the same, 'adults like flavours too'. Are kids drinking straight whisky? No, there most likely using flavoured vodkas and premixed cocktails.
Nicotine is not the devil, it has very similar properties to caffeine. Yet you don't see an uprising against Starbucks, Nescafé and fast food companies (ESPECIALLY in the US) who add extra caffeine to their soft drinks.

@@keithbaucum7156 and now you can't enter a vape shop unless you are of age, every vape shop employee I know is very strict about this. Like I said, don't blame adults if you can't raise your child.
