I should have listened to my parents and just never have done it, as someone who vaped like every 2 seconds when I was off work or not doing my traditional endurance workouts. It made my lungs so sore and I became short of breath, It had effected my running big time eventually until I quit. Luckily i think it was that I was already highly active enough with running and fast paced walks, so my lungs weren't damaged to a permanent point, everything went back to normal after I quit. But with 2 experiences I had of not being able to breath sufficiently, was a slight scare the first, but especially second time around by having sore lungs included made that occasion horrifying. Im just happy I realized it and am now vape free, im thankful to have only caused temporary swelling and no scarring, and that I'm completely healthy after the 2 years of vaping the way I did.

After quiting cigarettes (smoked 3 years) ....I started vaping menthol puffs with 5% of nicotine and after 6 months of vaping I started feeling weird light painful discomfort in the lower throat and some impulsive pain on the side of the throat, numbness...so I quit as of yesterday and subconsciously made decision never ever to get back vaping again...I don't want to develop serious disease or any other serious illness and damaging consequences of vaping....not worth it....yet I felt so tired and not energetic after few puffs it's gives you buzz for 5 seconds but after that you feel like shi** and panic attacks are terrible...So I have nothing to loose to give up this bad habit...it's evil and you become slave attached every hour to that little stick which is controls your life, mind, body and soul because it's all together attached...Quit don't wait until it's too late!!!

I did this with nicotine, once I realized it was getting hard to breathe and bloody spit, I quit it and now I can breathe. The vaping stuff just makes it too easy to hit every five seconds especially when life is stressful, eventually you get to a point you no longer feel a buzz

With someone who has nemaline myopathy, it plays a big part in my lungs. I started using these, within those three months. I told myself to quit, it was hard, sickness for about a week. Thought I was loosing my mind. One month later, I felt myself, somewhat happy and could sort of breath again. Never do j have that ambition to hit it again just to act cool like everyone else

I went to the hospital for EVALI, which is basically an acute lung injury that made it extremely hard to breathe and made me keep vomiting. I was vaping both nicotine and THC carts HEAVILY in addition to cigarettes joints blunts etc. every day at 17 years. The lung failure from just the nicotine vape doesn’t seem to be the whole story. In my experience the most detrimental to my health was the marijuana cartridges they are HEAVY and probably what caused this girl to get hospitalized- not just “juuling ”

I recently quit vaping after doing it for 4 years. If you have asthma and are sensitive to allergies, it def drys out your throat and irritates your lungs. I would never defend vaping as harmless thing. It’s more of a source of shame, waste of money, and generally just a stupid crutch. Vaping vs smoking being it thc or nicotine, is definitely a safer alternative. The problem is that it’s harder to quit for that reason. You can do it a lot of places that you could never smoke in, it tastes and smells better, and it is way less irritating to my lungs. The problem is that it’s hard to quit because it’s harder to keep track of how much you actually vape. So a pack a day smoke could reduce their cigarettes but a couple every day….a vaper really has no idea. Plus it’s just embarrassing because it looks douchey. There are lots of reasons to quit that don’t involve lying to consumers. People who do it and buy from legit sources already know from experience what the rest of you don’t- there is really no harsh, smoke like aspect to it. Quit because you know your kids are watching. Quit because it’s a waste of money and a source of embarrassment. Quit because you want to be able to use both of your hands and not just the one that’s not holding your vape.

I started smoking cigarettes in 2012, I gave up in 2022. I am now off cigarettes 1 year and 2 months now. Unfortunately I gave up by vaping.. I’ve gotten to the point where vaping has literally scared me to death and watching videos like this has actually made me realise that I made a bad decision. I quit a bad habit for another bad habit. Yes vaping is less harmful than smoking, but it’s still not safe.
I have been vape free 3 days now.. still early days but I’m determined.

I'm heavily addicted to vaping. I'm 21. I never thought I'd smoke or drink or vape or anything like that but I did. I guess the stress of life just got to me, but I regret it because now I'm addicted to nicotine.
I even had a seizure at work which was definitely at least partially caused by the vape, but I'm so addicted I still do it.
I don't defend the industry at all and it saddens me too that other people are defending it. Vaping sucks. I hope to quit it but it's EASILY one of the hardest things I've ever done.

I never really viewed it as a problem until I started to recognize my own behavior. I started becoming surprised at how quickly I was burning through a pod, I would always blame it on the manufacturer or whatever that there wasn't enough liquid in the vapes.
Those parents are blaming the companies but do not acknowledge that their kid was smoking every 15 minutes and they never knew! Wouldn’t they smell it? Wouldn’t they wonder where she disappears to? So strange.

After smoking for 15 years vaping has really helped me a lot. Was a pack a day and now since I picked up vaping a pack of cigarettes has lasted me two weeks. Completely stopped smoking now and one BC5000 will last me a little over two weeks. Also, I guess her campaign didn’t work, because vaping is still very popular today. Just like cigarettes, vaping rakes in too much money to illegalize it.

Likewise. Had a lot of breathing issues when I smoked a pack a day. Been vaping 4 years and no problems since. Not saying it’s healthy but I know I feel (and smell) sooooo much better than I did when I smoked cigarettes
As a long time cigarette smoker, since 2002, I started vaping to quit cigs, for the 6th time. But this time I felt like I was really able to kick the cigs cause I now have these alternatives. I definitely don't smoke a vape a day. I try to stretch it for about a week. I also try to leave it at home and not bring it everywhere I go. I do have very young co workers. For reference im 32 and some of them are ranges 15-22. All of them vape and they go through so many of them a week. I honestly don't know where someone gets the time to hit theirs every 10 minutes every single day. But then again they made these so cigarette smokers will have an easier time quitting. Thus far has helped me. Next is to kick these pens and then I'll be at 100% health. Staying active still and eat healthy. Until then, I'll enjoy my alternative.

When this came on the news a couple of years ago everyone in the smoke shack at my job were advising me to put down the vape and get help, some even telling me to pick the cigs back up. All while power smoking 5 cigs. I just laughed at them. Now it’s been 2 years and I barely even touch my vape. I might toot it a few times when I have a drink but I don’t even take it out of the house much, but still enjoy it. My coworkers are still power smoking the cigs.

Here is my point of view; first off, nicotine vaping was invented by a pharmacist in 2003 after he experienced the death of his father from smoking. The design was improved and nic vape shops started to open across the country. Smokers found nic vaping was able to allow them to quit when nothing else worked. im in year 7 at the moment. everyone in my grade is 12 or 13. it is so sad because almost all the year 7 are already addicted to vaping. i have not vaped yet myself, but my friends are pressuring me into vaping. it is a lot harder being 13 now days than you think.
If they are pressuring you after you have clearly said no or expressed disinterest in it, then these people are not your friends and will most likely ditch you the second you won’t or can’t do what they want. They could also be the type to get in trouble and then take you down with them or frame you for what they did. They sound like fake friends, and unfortunately I have a lot of experience with fake friends because of anxiety, depression, low self-esteem, and problems at home.

In a nutshell, it's used to further liquefy and dilute the oil in order to reduce viscosity, and allow the oil to get to the coil (heating element) within the vape cartridge.
Without it, or something that works like it, the THC oil would be far too thick.

Just thought I’d say my thoughts I’m 20 and have been vaping for 5 years only hit thc carts a few times and went to the hospital to get x rays on reasons not related to breathing or vaping issues but I had ct scans on my chest and all came back as 100% healthy not to say that itll stay that way or that that should be a way for anyone to justify it but in a few cities over from where I live a kid who only did thc carts no nicotine vapes had to be rushed to the er cuz his lungs were crystallized

There Needs to be a standard. That’s really it. Smoking anything is bad. But vaping if the fluid is genuine and “safe” it’s probably better than cigarettes. If you smoke marijuana the safest way is a dry herb vaporizer. Very clean.
