I've been watching table tennis matches all my life, and this commentary is by far the best ever. He is very knowledgeable, offering a lot of details about the players/coaches/history, and he conveys sensation in a professional manner. Just listening to his commentary is a feast.

It's great to see Chen Meng reaching her potential. About 7- 8 years ago or so, I saw Chen Meng the first time and she was playing so well and was showing great talents at the level of the very top Chinese players. It was inevitably she would reach the top echelon shortly. However somehow for a while, she was hanging around the number 8-9 in the world, way behind Ding Ning and Liu Shiwen. Then all of a sudden she reached the top and refuse to leave. Although she is still a long way to reach the level of Deng Yaping, Yang Yining and Wang Nan, Chen Meng is obviously joining the legend group of great table tennis players.
Chen Meng is at the best of her career, her technique is incredibly perfect, also very strong. Although Sun Yingsha has the ultimate offensive power, she cannot break Chen Meng’s defenses and losed in the stalemate.
This usually happens when senior player fight against younger player. The younger is stronger in power and speed hence offensive, but the senior makes less mistakes.
I don't usually watch table tennis much but the commentary is so fun and engaging that I think I'll stay here a while. We need commentary like this in every sport 👏
And the clearly well-researched pronunciation of Chinese names and words! So happy to hear the 'e' vowel pronounced properly especially 💕 (other sport commentary I watch, even ones where Chinese athletes are prominent, don't seem to care much for learning how to pronounce names)
