Did you know that with spellcasters you can do serial killer sims without mods? You learn the fire spell, visit your target's household, wait until your target go to sleep and when it's sleeping you ignite the bed. I tested it pretty well I think and 100% of time the sleeping sim cought a fire and died. Works on almost every lifestage except for object kid rolls, infants and babies. So if you really want to get rid of a certain sim - this is the fastest way. Spellcasters truly are superior with their abilities.
And, with the «Spectral Range» perk, your spell caster don't even need to be in the house to do that. He could be across the street, or even in the farthest part of the area. Then, he can swindle away something valuable, like a fridge or stove.
Familiars that are dogs or cats can intercede on your sim's behalf with the Grim Reaper and save their life. One of my sims was saved from certain death when her cat familiar stepped between her and Mr. Reaper. Everyone then spontaneously praised the cat and gave him treats.
It seems like when EA releases a pack that solely focuses on one occult type it has more detail, whereas when occults are in another pack, occults are like a filler for the lack of other content within the pack.
i notice it, the mermaids arrive in a pack that was a whole beach themed, get work was a pack with a lot of anothers things too, servos has lucky in this case, the werewolves are the most recent occult pack, they has more things and is not easy type like spellcasters and has which has more details tha vampires
If you're interested, SpinningPlumbobs, the guy who made the Werewolves mod that came out a few months before the Werewolves pack, has made a mod that greatly fleshes out mermaids. They also currently have a mod in early access that makes unicorns actually functional rather than purely cosmetic.
I actually have been playing with SpinningPlumbobs expanded mermaids mod aswell as fairies vs witches and they are both so good it makes mermaids so much better and fun to play with (you can also make A LOT of money being a mermaid)
I think the witches in sims 2 are deeper than the spellcasters in sims 4. Witches in The Sims 2 have more iconic and creative spells than the number of spells they offer, like stopping time . For example, there was a good witch and bad witch thing, and I found it more entertaining. I didn't think that the witches in Sims 3 offered much, but frankly, my expectation was higher when a separate pack was released in sims 4.
In Sims 2, I remember NPC "good" witches and "bad" witches appearing all the time and creating massive amounts of lag. It was beyond insanely annoying. Sims 1 witches were the final release of the series, so it did not really give you enough time to get to know them before you bought the Sim 2 base game, which came out very soon after. Sims 3 witches I do not even remember, which says a lot about them since Sims 3 is my favourite of all the Sims releases. Obviously, they must have been very crappy and not able to rival the fairy sims, which were amazing. I like that Sims 4 renamed the witches "spellcasters" for my own personal Pagan reasons; and for everything that Sims 4 got wrong, the spellcasters are pretty kick-ass and amazing. Also, they do not spam up your game whenever you go anywhere like the "Glinda" and "Wicked Witch of the West" did in Sims 2.
@@Psyche0delic for the gameplay in sims 4, they haven’t any iconic spell. It is just like fix it, transform that. You can do that with cheats but in sims 2, most of the spells are not like that.
the alien world looks so cool and there's so much lost potential for it to be an ACTUAL place with things to do. I love werewolves - i enjoy have "dirty" objects and cas in the game normally everyting is so neat and this limits gameplay sometimes
You should give vampires more credit. My favorite sim I ever created was a vampire. I got the ability to open doors, and always welcome trait from the store. Nights I would pick a house to go to. One, I would always woohoo this guys wife right in front of him. I was also high in mischief, so I created a voodoo doll of him and a few others. I would summon them to my basement when I was not planning on leaving my house to work on skills, or just for sadism. Honestly a LOT of fun.
Werewolves are my favorite occult in Sims 4 :) they're great and fun to play with. The world they came with is also really well done!!! My only gripe however is the "fated mates" thing that gets forced on your Sim if they happen to flirt with another werewolf. It's bonkers if you have a noncomittal Sim who is a werewolf lol...I wish we could somehow turn off the fated mates feature.
It doesn't help vampires that their aspirations take forever to fulfill. Recently Caleb the vampire moved in because he asked to after one date, and who thought it would be a great idea to have to take 14 sim days to "drink wo permission" to earn the aspiration award.
Notice how the occults that are mixed with packs have shallow gameplay and nothing to do but the ones with a separate pack has more gameplay and are much cooler
The werewolf pack really makes ne wish they would redo the other occults or atleast their world. Rhey showed us they can do this and expand thw lore, abilities, and customization if wanting to. But this is ea, but i can dream especially for vampires ooo to further understand their lore from their world would be so fun.
I was SO excited to finally be able to travel to Sixam and I was so disappointed with it. Werewolves have always been my favorite occult and always will. I hated them in the Sims 3.
1) true, ghosts are basegame, but they are playable and can be fun. 2) mermaids are so much better with SpinningPlumbobs' mod 3) Zulf has unlocked a lot of skills for children, including spellcasting 4) with ww installed, try woohooing a male servo and see what is to see.
I need to figure out plant sims. Love your videos. You have really helped with my game play. With different options and choices. Watching your results with your Sims makes me want to try different things now.
I love occults especially witches but I do prefer them all in The Sims 2. Like I guess, yeah though few things are good in The Sims 4 they all still are on some level better created than in The Sims 4, especially with mods. But that's my personal opinion. And I respect yours.
Werewolves are really fleshed out and are awesome in that aspect. However, the rage function drives me up the wall so I have grown to intensely dislike them. T-T I'm aware that's part of the appeal of werewolves, I just don't like it being a slowly ticking timebomb that can randomly get faster if you don't keep track of what's going to anger your werewolf. I don't enjoy micromanaging my werewolves.
Werewolves was the last pack I noticed developers very enthusiastic about and us players as well, but it was trumped in the middle of it by the release of HS years, which was an awful, glitchy, boring pack that nobody wanted or cared about, not even the devs and it crapped on werewolves which got forgotten about it and the bad taste of HS is the only thing we got out of all of it.
I played an alien scientist recently. Aliens can revive the “dead alien” collectibles, and Sixam will have events you can join while working. I’m not sure if you can join those events as a non-alien, but probably. Overall, it was still boring.
I'm the same with vampires as you are with spellcasters in that they're my favourite occult but objectively they're not the best. I mostly get bored of them because they pretty much never need to sleep, so I max everything out so fast that I get bored and move on to my next save.
Ive been watching your videos for a bit, but as i never care to look at the stats of video or anything, I was SO surprised to look and only see 800 something likes and 11k views?!!! Your videos are relatively high quality and you were very easy to take a like to. Keep it up, friend!!❤
I personally like the more basic ones like the alien or mermaid, they just add a little bit to the normal gameplay that makes it a little more fun, but the ones with entire skill trees like the vampires spellcasters and werewolves, are just a bit too much for me, they make you play the game completely differently,
I always get the occult packs in the sims and end up moddingthe shit out of them. Even than i get bored with them. In the sims 4 I modded all of them. Made the spell caster into traditional witches, Werewolves, got rid of all the Moon Mill stuff, I want a lone wolf without looking at those pack members they are gone in my game. The vamps are more deadly, and the mermaids can kill with the siren song with Zero mods. I made my Werewolf able to kill with Sacrificial violent mod but even then I grow bored. No matter what Sims game it is. I end up playing them like other sims only they just have little things they can do than the average sims. I never play them around their occults, I play them more on the they live among us type of idea. I turned Moon Mill into a camping world with a lake, ( pool to look like a lake) with a Woman in White to haunt the lake. My werewolf and his toddler daughter vacations there as well as my other sims. My werewolf lives in Henford next to a ruined of an old church using Chipped Sims Haunted Graveyard mod, down the lane from one of my witches, where I truly think they belong across from the moors, the moon is huge in Henford and come up on the moors and Greg will come over on a full moon in that area so you can fight him and vamps do walk there also on a full moon to fight but my werewolf killed the vamps and no vamps show up any more but Greg does. I suggest if you have a werewolf in Henford and you use SAC mod for the werewolves don't kill the vamps in that area the game will not give you new vamps to fight. Henford was meant to be a supernatural world and they drop it but left certain things in there. I even changed the name of the bar in Henford to The Slaughtered Lamb from the movie American Werewolf in London. Don't know if the locals of Henford like it, so there Ea I fixed it lol. Another thing happened last night when I was playing. NnkkI had finished up checking all mods for the update and got the Ranch pack since I had to repair my game and was force to update after a year. I took my sim over from the ranch world to the bar in Henford my werewolf was raging inside, I noticed my witch sim was all beat up. I didn't have the violent mod in my game. He had the game stuff on with the band aids and the werewolf foot print on his shirt. I went to his house thinking he got bit by my werewolf and didn't want him to turn into one but I thought oh wait he's a spell caster can't happen. He was fine when I got to his house. So apparently my werewolf while raging had fought him in the Henford bar and he lost. Don't know if it was visible to the eye or not. The sim I was playing at the time ran outside and I had her talking to one of my sims outside to get her to know some sims since she was a new sim. Fairies should have been in Henford too. The signs are all there for it being a supernatural world.
Not exactly true. The depth provided by offering them as individual packs has been hit or miss in quality. Like aliens aren't better in 4 then 3 and barely a cut above 2 in what they can actually do.
Island living was such a let down, mermaid could have been so much more. I really want a proper game pack for mermaid and refresh for alien and spellcaster.
It really sucks that they dropped the ball on alien sims, they were my favorite in the sims 2 and have always had a special spot in my heart. What really bugs me is the alien and disguise cant be linked like the later occults were in CAS. Its so frustrating when i want to make or edit an alien and i have to manually try to match their alien face with the disguise, or manually set up the same outfits twice for each version, when every other occult can be linked and unlinked. Even the werewolves faces are influenced by the sims version so its really frustrating. Refresh aliens! 😂👽
I have only had one vampire float into my house and showered lol. Just on one of my loaded games. But my Sim fell in love with her and they ended up married with a baby too
I like Aliens and Vampires. Although Aliens lack gameplay, its fun to be an alien who tries to hide their identity and to kill the sims who discover what you are unless they are good friends. I also like the alien abductions...although when I actually want my sims to get abducted, its a pain to trigger it without mods. I have my sim be a scientist, create a sattelitte dish to summon them and go out on alien night and it still takes at least 3 sim weeks to get abducted. Lol Aliens do get boring though. I recently got the vampires pack after making the mistake of watching a vampire legacy and I think they are awesome! But you have to use what vampires offer to the fullest extent. If you just have a vampire sim live a normal life and eat plasma, of course you will be bored. They need to sleep in a coffin, hunt humans for food, and avoid sunlight (I think being immune to sun takes away the challenge). I admit that I do have most packs by now and my vampire is also an actress/artist/fashion designer. I do see how without other packs being a vampire could get boring. Also in Forgotten Hollow, there is literally NOTHING to do! Its a cool aesthetic but thats it. During the next sale, I think I might get Werewolves. The pack system seems cool and I'll need a rival for my vampires. I also really like the world it offers. I just dont like that werewolves rampage and that they look like Harry from Scary Godmother. I wish they either looked more scary or turned into actual wolves.
How about the Fairies & Witches mod ? It introduce two new occults. Yes, Sixam is bland. ONLY a single lot with nothing but a platform surrounded by an area where you can find three plants, minerals, geodes and «extraterrestrials». The only good point about mermaid and mermen is that they can't drown. Spell casters... Repairio, scrubero, resurecto... What more do we need to say ? There is a mod called «Spell injector» that allow the use of a lot of custom spells from various moders. There are spells that inflict the various curses from Jungle Adventures on your hapless victim. Then, Stra-strangify, or a permanent version of Stangify. Virtuoso level spell to be learned from a mirror. DON'T like vampires. IF I get that pack, I'll also get that mod that will humanize any vampire coming to your current area. Vladdy Daddy, you're a human now !
stach do you know a show called Merlin? it's about a spell caster that tries to protect the future king Arthur of Camelot any way i really think it would be fun if you recreate the show but in your own funny way
All my sims are spellcasters. I played for one hour or so with the werewolf pack and will never touch it again. One werewolf put an end to everything at school and another one running around town scare everyone there out of their minds. Vampires are almost as disruptive as werewolves, but the fact that all normal sims want to become wampires made me uninstall the pack. I do not play mermaids, but at least they're not ruining anything in my games. The only issues I have with aliens are their voices and that they cannot become spellcasters. I have a few aliens at the gallery and may place em in my games again some time.
I HATE the werewolves. They're annoying. I wish they could learn control with ranking up or having high mediation skill or something. I had five werewolves in a house and everything was broken and pissed on
I'm pretty open minded about occult sims and even I struggle to really enjoy mermaids outside of their very basic differences between themselves and normal sims and roleplaying... and aliens feel even more lifeless to me personally rather than the other way around. I wish you could turn off mermaids' random dolphin fits and aliens' weird voices they have while in alien form. lol You can turn off celebrities' fame glow and weird, buggy celebrity walkstyle after all. I swear I never used to have celebrity sims' arms look like they're holding an invisible umbrella while doing the celebrity walk, but it's almost like Seasons isn't exactly compatible with Get Famous as of yet. Also, the aliens' emotional glow can be annoying and that's practically the same as the celebrity glow. I am sort of a supporter of the opinion that celebrities are basically occult sims btw, but I do wish that I didn't need MC Command Center to make fame less stressful of a thing to maintain and build up unless you're an actor maybe and I've never got around to playing as any actors. Fame seems to fade so much quicker than it glows and later shines ("You'll never shine if you don't glow!" lol ;w;).
Vampires were well done, but the world is terrible...Werewolves could have been amazing but they missed a lot of great gameplay, and the world is pretty bad...spellcaster's get boring really quick, and the pathetic world is sad...mermaids were lazy and shallow...but i love the world...aliens are ok, but very shallow gameplay. I love playing the vampire pack, never aging and they can fly into places other sims can't go. Currently running a haunted horse ranch with vampires.
Let's be honest, if you had compared ALL the occult packs of sims 4 with just the Supernatural of sims 3, then all of the sims 4 occult packs are dick cheese.
Nah that some bullshit you should have but vampire at number 1 not a furry at 1 cause vampire’s actually looks good and for numbers 2 you should have put spellcaster or werewolf
Occults are all crap. I mean seriously, what do elves, werewolves, mermaids, ghosts, wizards, and all that kitschy nonsense have to do with a supposed "life simulation"? In my opinion, it's just another reason why The Sims is utterly silly and stupid. I sincerely hope that Life By You and Paralives will be spared from this.
They are fun, that is why. Sometimes you want to bite someone, of cast a spell to fix something. Stop being a party pooper. If you do not like them, you simply do not buy that DLC that they are a part of.
You can be serial killer vampire, too, by maxing out emotion manipulation spell and imposing lethal emotions (anger/embarrasment/hysteria).
And, with the «Spectral Range» perk, your spell caster don't even need to be in the house to do that. He could be across the street, or even in the farthest part of the area. Then, he can swindle away something valuable, like a fridge or stove.
You can also light the floor under the sim on fire and they will catch on fire
@@ViceCityExtralol that's how i got the public enemy aspiration completed
@@ViceCityExtra It doesn't always work, and even if they don't always die. By igniting the bed they are 100% dying.

For mermaids there is actually the expend mermaids mode who give the actual gameplay
Vladdy Daddy, you're a human now !
stach do you know a show called Merlin? it's about a spell caster that tries to protect the future king Arthur of Camelot any way i really think it would be fun if you recreate the show but in your own funny way
Love the show Merlin. I recreated some of the characters in my game. I had Uther lock up some of the spellcasters in a dungeon.
Only thing werewolves are missing is a TAIL!
But like Aliens were always only able to do normal stuff like any other sim.
I was watching this while playing my own game. When I look again I see that my sim is getting abducted while I was watching the alien part😂
I sent my unwanted baby right back to them.
@@onlytwogenders420 the thing is mine couldnt get pregnant. He was abducted 14 times. I didn't have any mods🤣
LOL the only mod I have is wicked whims cuz reasons.@@katkajaneckova9522
Bro forgot about the Star Wars occult
Let's be honest, if you had compared ALL the occult packs of sims 4 with just the Supernatural of sims 3, then all of the sims 4 occult packs are dick cheese.
I LOVE THESE SATCHONSIMS TIER LIST VIDEOS! (BEGGING FOR BRUTALLY HONEST REVIEW OF SNOWY ESCAPE DAY 7 🌝💅)
Nah that some bullshit you should have but vampire at number 1 not a furry at 1 cause vampire’s actually looks good and for numbers 2 you should have put spellcaster or werewolf

If you do not like them, you simply do not buy that DLC that they are a part of.
the game was never strictly realistic
