DEKUtheKID - My sincere apologies if I have offended someone who experienced this storm. I am just so tired of the victim blaming that is exclusively towards Gulf Coast residents and hurricanes. I was just trying to snap back at the OP. If there is little damage it’s bc people know how to prepare and have protected their property. People post as if hurricanes hit every year in the same spot, completely total all homes and they are rebuilt by federal aid. This is simply not the case. Declaring it a national disaster will call for temporary help from the national guard to police and prevent looting and hand out meals but it doesn’t pay for our homes. People even blamed victims from hurricane Laura for living there. Lake Charles is 35 MILES from the coast and Laura was hurricane strength some 150 miles inland. The victim blaming has got to stop. It is born out of malice and sheer ignorance.
My father built his house in OB, AL in the late 60’s / early 70’s. On stilts. On the water way. With a boat house. He died in 93. Have no idea how the house weathered the storm. His widow doesn’t want a damn thing to do with me. Never has - never will. She got what she wanted from us a long time ago.
They r built on stilts for reasons like this. This storm wouldn't have done as much damage if it wasn't moving 2 mph. So devastating .....we got destroyed. Finally got power on last night .
Looks like a great place to build your house!!!!!NOT!!!!! Move fools!!! You can't fight Mother Nature she will always kick your ass!!!!💯🔨👍🏻🏈🎼🍀💡❤️🙏🐟💎⭐️⭐️🎯TIME TO Go
@@estusflask982 I feel so sorry fore you! This is a Latino person praying in Spanish, Praying to God All Mighty for the folks hurt in this hurricane! And your response to this kind person is "stfu"? You will see those words on your judgement day!
Thank you Angela! I thank you from Southern Illinois for your concern for the folks affected by this hurricane! It has no effect on me or what family I have left in this life here in Illinois. I don't know where you are, but guessing you was not in it's path. You stay safe! God Bless.
Charlie Flowers partially true, i have lived here for 56 years, i have personally seen 10 hurricanes that affected Alabama and many more Tropical storms, you only hear about the quote”major Hurricanes” (cat 3 and above) in that case i have seen 3 since 1979 that hit the mobile alabama area. The problem here is people from northern states who are under the misperception that hurricanes in alabama are rare, then come down here and buy vacation homes etc, if they actually knew all the tropical storms and Hurricanes that have really come through the Alabama Gulf coast they would reconsider, but they wont be told because, if they want to buy, were gonna sell it to them.
It doesn’t even look like a hurricane hit nos
This is footage of Gulf Shores not Orange Beach
🙏🏻🌞
Can you send some video of the damage at the new town homes under construction at 26927 Spyglass Drive, Orange Beach, AL 36561
Houses can be rebuilt but I wonder if that nice boat can be salvaged.
How is the beach front?
Years to build, one moment to destroy.
Very unexpected very little time to prepare.
Should never build on the beach it's stupid you know it's gonna happen then I cry about it just stupid
@ how little damage there is?

I’ve noticed everything is built on stilts near the Gulf Coast.
That's because it's mandatory.
And you see why that's done!

How long will America rebel against Yahweh? Repentance is your only solution. Repent America.
Actually ...........Statistically speaking a hurricane hits the same place every 20 years
