I just bought a pai kit for a c15 cat. I hope this doesn’t happen to me. This was the fastest turn around for my truck to get back on the road. Cats parts are 4-6 weeks out on back order. And double the price. Spent 8k on full rebuild kit. Including head. My old head is cracked and they won’t take it as a core at Peterbilt. Or any other supplier in town. Thank you for the info Francisco. Keep on wrenching.
That liner looks like it was damaged before it was installed. I think it was a mechanic error. Most over haul kits comes from the same company that make those parts. The only difference is Detroit have a certified checker who checks and stamp parts after they pass inspection with Detroit seal. Detroit, cummins, pai and other over haul kit names all come from the same over haul kit parts companies. So some parts shouldn't be called aftermarket parts they should be called different brand parts. Because they all comes from parts making companies .
That is the same way it was at the factory I worked at making paper products. Same paper just switch wrap and boxes. The only product that was different was Xerox they did more from beginning to end but it was all just quality checks. We just watched it more closely.
Not all suppliers are OEM suppliers, so what you’re saying is not true. Some suppliers are OE a cat and also supply some of the aftermarket companies. But I know for a fact some of the aftermarket suppliers do not use the OEM suppliers. It all comes down to how good your quality inspection and engineering departments are no matter who’s company you worked for or are working with.
I have 2014 dd13 with 900,000 miles...my question is when is the best time to do a inframe...the engine is running fine oil pressure is fine..good fuel mileage...thks..luv ur videos...I have learned alot...
I have 1.3 million miles on my 2011 dd15 engine. I've been using Walmart brand super tech engine oil or Costco brand Kirkland in my truck since I bought it in 2018. The truck stills runs the same since I've had it. Don't burn oil either. Just put over 10 thousand miles on the new oil and the oil is still Yellow and clear not black like other well known brands of oils l used in the past. I had an oil analysis done 2 oil changes ago and everything is wearing fine no issues of break down in the engine. I know some people think the dd15 engine are crap but this engine is as good as the previous detriot 60 series engine. The key to making an engine last a very long time is frequent oil changes around 20000 or less. I've always changed my oil between 15 and 20 thousand.
PAI makes their parts in america, they have 1,2 and 3 year warranty on their parts depending on the cost level of the kit you can buy with the best warranty on their performance kits. For any liner to crack something is off on the block/head. If a factory liner split the whole way like that an aftermarket won't be any better. Some of the older engines are not supported by the factory anymore so there is no choice other than to use PAI. Their customer service is excellent though.
Holy cow I’m wondering could he sue the manufacturer of the overhaul kit to cover everything between the first shot they did it in your shop just going to do the second repair
Prove it wasn't damaged in transit..what was the liner protrusion..if the liner was too high that can cause cracks liners..any dirt or anything else under the flange can cause crack and on and on and on..people are too quick to blame parts when well over half the time it's not the parts..
This is happened to me 4-27-2022 after I bought used truck, 3-28-2022 Truck has no warranty only I Running 7k miles then truck it mixed coolant & oil i speed almost 30k😣 so my advice if you want to purchase used truck from the dealer please watch out and by more attention before you purchase it
I don’t think you can blame the liner so quickly. I think it’s a cop out to blame the part rather than the mechanics or the operators of the truck. I don’t buy this one bit!!
16:40 That outfit drives me fukada-jpp.monster nuts on you and you have that curvy body. You did a good job modelingp it too. Also like the last outfit 20:11.. Love how the garter belts connect to the stockings and sheer top

You right
Facts man the parts all made in the same warehouse.
