I have been looking for a mirroring option for my phone all day. I wanted to see myself on the pc while I recorded myself on my phone. The other solutions required using apps that wouldn't allow my phone to see the landscape mode on my phone or didn't work at all. This was easy and simple. So thanks for getting to the point and giving me a super simple solution that actually worked.
This was very helpful, thanks! Also shout out to SCRCPY itself. I tried 2 other Apps before this one, trying to control my phone from my PC. Both of them were either not working or limited to 10 minutes in the free version. This not only works great, it also only took me 5 minutes (if not less) to set up.
I love scrcpy. I use it to mirror Termux to an old computer, and then pipe that to my 32" TV... I didn't even know about some of these command line options, so thanks for this.

There's a world of ropey video tutorials out there, but this one is excellent. Clear, well-paced, and by the end of it I could do exactly what I need to do! Now onwards to try to do stuff with KWGT but from the comfort of my PC screen.
It's not perfect, but quite close. A perfect one would go into details, particularly if there are any risks (as there usually are with installing any remote controlling SW on any device) and how to mitigate them. And I'm nitpicking, but a perfect one would not say "my seeing is on because I had turned it on previously, yours has to be like mine", it works demonstrate. Of course, it would not be possible to record this part via scrcpy, which was probably done here, so I understand why it wasn't.

I tried everything for days (different developer options, different cables, different monitors, Google tech support). Nothing worked. Then I came across your video, and it worked beautifully, with no issues whatsoever. Thank you so much for ending days and days of misery!

My wife's S10+ went black on the bottom 80% of the screen recently and we got her a new phone but attempting to use Smart Switch to transfer everything without seeing the screen was not a good idea. Better yet that it doesn't require tons of permissions having to be granted on the phone or having to sync accounts. Also very minimal lag since it's not network streaming. works..explained perfectly 5 stars -i'm always so nervous to follow along to these BECASUE i run into problems, i searched hi and low to mirror my phone, google pixel 4a 5g (i know its 2023)( but its a good phone) for free... BECAUSE it should be free. i don't understand why i had to do all this, but this works and now i could continue to create content....and got more than i thought...virtually everything wifi,recording, everything i been needing , liked and subscribed,peace ✌✌ be safe - mike

This works well for both of these use cases and is rather simple to use. also well done on making an actually good tutorial video, it was helpfull

I keep seeing Android videos like this. This has been easy to do for quite some time using many different methods. A really impressive video would be how to do this with an iPhone on Win10. Near impossible to do and the few softwares out there that did this got bought out, have stipulations, super buggy, or no longer exist at all.

just found this recently and im amazed at how good it is, its is definitely better to be connected via usb cable/your own phone charger, but wireless aint too bad, just slightly laggier (which was to be expected). tqtqtq so much for this, i wanted to set this up as soon as i found it

Good app and a clear explanation. Could you please share how we can connect the Android phone via the Internet? Like helping elders sitting remotely outside the same WiFi range and not aware of details on smartphones. I do understand this will be highly vulnerable when we enable this feature. But I need to help my family elders who have smartphones and are unable to use them properly.

For those that have phones with broken display that clicks by itself then the 'MOD+o' shortcut should help you. It shuts down the display on the device but the mirroring still works. So it doesn't click anymore by itself. Hope I helped somebody!
I usually adb connect to my ip and port directly before running scrcpy. Pretty basic commands, and I get to play cod, zenless zero and a few other games for free on my mac, so it's worthwhile.
Can you recommend something similar to achieve the opposite -- controlling PC with phone. Airdroid seems to be the goto option but I wish scrcpy had sister app to do that. Great video tutorial on SCRCPY 2.0! You did an excellent job explaining the features and showing how it works. I always had trouble mirroring my phone screen on my computer, but after watching your video, the process seems much simpler. Thank you taking the time to create this helpful tutorial. After AnyDesk and TeamViewer, finally something Open Source allthough a bit buggy but at least OS and works without connecting to wherever, just locally, test with Firewall. Thanks!
A great and helpful video. Connects the mobile screen instantly. Only problem is , I can't watch videos. Also , there is a dark screen on the PC and the sound plays in the mobile.
Not working for me...I followed your steps, enabled USB debugging (and dev options) and connected my cellphone to my PC and enabled it to work on it and clicked on the scrcpy-noconsole file (which for some reason also did not do anything and did not create any extra file like it did for you) and I then tried launching it and it does nothing, then I clicked on the scrcpy.exe file and it says : "could not find any adb device" and "server connection failed", why is that?

After 1 hour of messing with my broken screen, I hit it in the perfect spot so it fixed the touch and I enabled USB debugging. Thanks for the tutorial

Ive been using "PC Remote By Monect" for years
