Coffee, cigarettes and Simon, oh and a newly elected President, it's going to be a great day! I'm getting a really late start today after a rough night with back and severe leg pains.
Isn't it laughable when we do the same things the same way we always have just to find a much easier way? I'm glad you figured out an easier way putting the chains on.
We're still enjoying some beautiful weather here. Still trying to get things done before winter.
Thank you Simon for taking time to record your adventures and more importantly, thank you for sharing those adventures with us!
Light. Always seek light my friend.
God bless you and yours. Thank you my friend.
Hello Sara 👋 I'm glad your keeping the boys in check! Hope your doing well. 🙏 ❤️ Thank you ma'am.

Howdy Simon- isn’t it amazing how we can keep learning a different and better way of doing things albeit they may be simple things. I think I’m a little more advanced in age but I’m so thankful l can still learn things on my own and so much from others. You have so much more to do to be prepared for winter than we do here. We seem to wait until there is the rare snow on the ground before we even make sure we have milk. It’s rather comical to see people running to the store to get the simplest of staples that should have already been in the cupboard lol. Here l am mouthing off about others and it’s possible we could actually have a winter this year. Hope all is well with you Ms Sarah. Thank you for your concern for our country. God bless

Hello Paul, I have been blessed enough to be able to live everyday where I am able to learn and improve on my own terms. Having lived several lives I can say for sure time to think and reflect are the most crucial to development. Having very distinct seasons here focuses the mind for sure, I am still learning the skill of survival in this harsh climate but it is getting easier each year. We are all good thank you. Take care my friend and enjoy your weekend.

Simon , I noticed that you sometimes have a problem getting the grease gun head off the zerk , that is because of back pressure, so if you will carry the tools with you that will unscrew the middle of the head , those spring clamps in the end of the grease head will loosen & you won’t ruin the head !
I had to learn the hard way , ruined 2-3 before I figured it out .
Great vid keep up the great work ; nice tire chain trick.

Thanks Robert, I think she needs more replacement's as I go. I now have some new nipples on the shelf. I would like to get a new gun if next season is kind to me. The chains have never been on so well, maybe the puncture last season was not so bad after all.

My goodness Simon, what a shop of goodies you have ….. so Simon and always prepared. Amazing being able to get that grease nipple out and be able to do the job. Love the “Easy way to apply snow chains” section too. Am sure that would help many who watch this come their winter escapades 😊😊😊. Kasper as per usual did a fantastic supervisory job yet again❤️. You may have some theory with the axis shift for sure…..”they” let the deems on to it ever so slightly 😂😂😂😂. Loves to you and the family and have a super weekend.❤️🇦🇺🇸🇪

Thank you Anne, I was using the tractor yesterday in the yard to move some packs of wood around and scrape the base, the noise from the chains has always annoyed me but now they are silent. This should also improve viewer experience during the snow plowing videos. As always, take care and have a great weekend.

Always a good feeling to be just that tiny bit ahead when it comes to being ready for winter... No fun in getting the snow chains on in 30 cm of snow and - 10°C.. been there, done that🥶 Here we got a touch of summer.. ish.. it has been 12° today, and further north it was + 15 earlier today😮 Not normal at all.. all the best, have a great weekend🙂

Something we do as forestmachin drivers with broken nippels, we use (in swedish torksbits, you know the bit you use when screwing wooddecking) and pound one of them in the hole the greas goes in, this can be used if the nippel is broken of, the thing sticking out of it is a spring and if you can pull it out you can keep using the nippel. Nice video keep up the good work

Thank you, The old owner would have know this he was a forest machine driver in 60's och 70's but passed last year. He showed me all the hidden secrets of this backloader. I found it is important to keep the area around the nipples clean so you can see what is happening. Tack.

It is my belief the earth has changed positions on its axis! We've had 80 degree temps here a couple of times in the past 3 weeks which is way above normal. Also it's bone dry. Some of the trees & bushes have just dried up ! We only have had 2 hundreds of an inch of rain since mid September! Kinda seems you're behind in snowfall also.

Hi Robert, yes we are way behind and had a very wet summer. Our climate is very dry outside of melt so things are just out of wack. I am sure they will correct themselves in time, just a normal cycle of planets and stuff. Have a great weekend.

Just a thought ,Why not weld a piece of metal on to the roof then put the light on the piece of metal away from the hatch . And you'll get a better coverage . Because you can aim the light/ torch where you want it .

Whooppee... seeing the Old Yellow Lady getting herself ready for the winter! Makes me wonder a wee tad... I don't seem to spot any of the adornments I sent on for her decoration, or am I bind and ignorant? Yes... some would say I am!
YES - I HATE grease guns - especially those old yokes... and as for broken grease nipples... revolting little buggers, they are!
Happy weekend up there... I've been thinking to make a fresh Simon's Sea-Song Serenade... maybe this weekend!

Adornments, is that similar to accouterments? If you asking if your stickers are still stuck the answer is yes amazing considering the the weather and temperatures. We are all ready now just waiting for the white stuff to arrive. Have a great weekend my friend and Thank you.

Hi Kirby, I am not aware I do. I have had to work so hard to avoid my normal pattern of speech and adapt it for TV if I slip occasionally and then miss it in editing forgive me.
