For a comic book character that not a lot of people know, this was a great intro to the character. I hope to see more of this. Now give me my history of Ninjak.
Other than X-O, my favorite Valiant books were Shadowman and Solar. Always thought they should have made a Bloodshot movie. Really love the Barry Windsor Smith and Bart Sears artwork.
I met Dinesh at Supercon and We talked about how cool Old X-O was and he gave me a $10 Trade paper back of X-O for freen been reading ever since, it's Good
@@livecatgrenades The other way round. That some comics today are made just to advertise the movies that have soul (not all of the movies). Of course, a lot of movies are still shameless, moneygrabbing advertisements for the comics.
"We got big video game content that I can't tell you about, we have 'Live' action content that I can't tell you about, and we've got movies!!!" The moment I heard those words, goosebumps just came rolling all over my body
I really liked this format. The mixture of your commentary along with input from the actual creators was very cool. I would love to see this format used for a "History of Swamp Thing" episode.
well Ninjak's an Espionage book with a bit of mystic, Harbinger's about a group of outcasts one of them's the near strongest Psychic on the planet, Bloodshot's about how everyone's out to get Bloodshot while he tries to find out who he is (Awesome Book)
Makentime Williams good summary somehow my favourite is Archer and Armstrong this mismatched pair are funny. They just go on crazy adventures together.
That 2012 run by Robert Venditti and the team of artists, inkers, colorists, editors etc was a a classic! I bought the first trade in 2019, and i finally got around to reading it in 2022. I binged the series over a period of 2 months. Great series Thanks for the video! 😁
I followed x o back in the beginning. Loved when he teamed with Turok but the coolest storyline was when he was fighting the villain alloy. The art by Bart Sears was epic
Thanks a lot Variant. I learned about a new Comic book character. Never heard of X-O Manowar until I saw this video. Thank you so much! By the way the History of style was awesome. If we could have more episodes in this style that'd be awesome!
Aric of Dacia has become of the heroes that I've most admired, reading the Valiant universe as a whole, was one of my best decisions, great video, I'm waiting so much the take of Matt Kindt with X-O Manowar, It keep me a lot excited to know. I added the video to my favorites, excellent summary.
Same here but you know there is a web series on batinthesun its called ninjak vs valiant universe live action series but I'm not gonna lie, I will love to see a live action movie or series a solo characters like shadowman, eternal warrior, archer and armstrong, x-o manowar, harbinger, doctor mirage, livewire and rai, those are the valiant characters by the way
I like it better how you usually do history of episodes. this seemed more like a giant plug for valiant comics overall rather than the history of a character.
FYI, as I'm sure you all know "summer of George" is code for the new Spider-Man movie. Just a heads up to anyone intrested they are filming tonight 9/29 in Coney Island but the amusement
I like the way you guys have always done the episodes but I thought the new way was pretty cool. Variant is one of my favorite UA-cam show & I will watch either way. Keep up the great work Arris & crew.
My personal favorite comic character and company, by far. Valiant, you rock! Any Punk Mambo & Shadowman plans? The Visitor (if using older characters) or PsiLprds, by Tony Bedard? Bedard would be an excellent addition to your writer pen IMO
Just convinced me to get volume 1, I read Valiant a bit in the 90s but I don't remembers much of it, collected comics mostly for art back then. The premise of XO sounds amazing.
X-o manowar is a heavy comic series definitely in my top 5 , heavy storyline, good art wicked.....glad variant showed this title.......the eternal warrior is cool too.....valiant really take there time with there titles they are all strong titles......unity is cool......well done variant keep up the amazing work No.1
All I knew about that character was the "Heavy Metal" game with Iron Man, and I overlooked this video because I did not really care about him to begin with. Now....WOW that is REALLY interesting! I will surely look into that! Good job!
I actually got to meet jim shooter at Tampa bay Comic con and got issue 1 signed by him.... X-O Man o war is among one of my favorite heros in valiant universe outside of bloodshot! But you can't mess with Bloodshot!! he's in my top 6!
XO-Manowar... Ever since I have heard of him, I have been wanting to read his story, but since I currently don't have the time at my disposal, I haven't had the chance...
I know they don't have the ability but I so wish they could do Solar man of the atom series. Their stories are so great. Solar and X-o were my favorite books back in the day.
@@mazadancoseben4818 for me its better where there isnt so much of a multiverse. Or stories where a character gets a new power only for it to be taken away etc
I liked your format for this episode. :) In the future, could you discuss the Valiant & Image cross over event called DEATH MATE? That's where I first read XO Manowar. Thanks. :)
imma check this out, first i ever heard of it but it looks nice... also it's nice to see someone with so much passion like the guy with the hat... he really wanted to spill those beans lol
X-O manowar is unbelievably awesome probably my second most favourite hero ever always at clash for spot number one tho which is wolverine hard to decide who is best

"too Hollywood and shallow"...if only people could see into the future back then, that some books are just pamphlets for the movies nowadays.😧
That's deep bro
So your saying they were observing the truth then? Foreseeing what was to come?

XO was my favorite of the old Valiant books.
Stoked to see Valiant comics back in a proper way. Some of the best comics from the 90s
Can we do histories of Turok, Ninjak, and Magnus next! 😃
Magnus the Robot Fighter is awesome
This was an excellent episode. The format was quite enjoyable and I would love to see it used again. Keep up the fantastic work!

I need to track down issue 1 of the reboot now. This sounds AWESOME.
Comicstrian did a recap/reading of it
This gives me more motivation to develop my characters for my books that I want to eventually bring into comic books.
Did you ever finish your characters for your comics??

I have to say that as a long time comic reader, Valiant is what got me really invested in comics again. Great writing, great art, totally 90's.

Valiant -Comics- ENTERTAINMENT.
Soooo does that mean we could possibly see a XO ManOwar movie?
If we're lucky.
Who would be the Director?
Valiant have Harbinger and Bloodshot in the works
😆Great News, thanks!

Yeah man, THIS is how an episode should be: informative, entertaining and comprehensibly.
thanks to this channel i have been getting back into comics
***** and i am reading some of the comics u talked about like xo manowar and bloodshot
One of the best Superhereos currently out!
Really good Video. Usually I don´t like these interviews, but this one flowed differently and Dinesh Shamdasani was really interesting.

So Arris since October is rolling around I figured it would be really cool if you would do a history of episode on Man-Thing I'd love to see that

Since the flash season 3 is around the corner, could you do The Flash Greatest Moment like you did for spiderman???
