Very sad day when Marco left us; very sad. I feel for Rossi and Edwards having to live with that. I am happy to see that they paid tribute to him with this helmet. God knows I miss seeing that number on the track. RIP

Hey, sorry I have no experience with the LS2 brand. In all honesty it would be difficult to find a helmet at this price range that beats the K3. For comfortability, aggressive looks and good air channeling. HJC are now making some great helmets and their prices are hundreds of dollars below the top range but stand equally, if not taller than some of the bigger brands. All helmets on the market are safe, not many safer than others, although the options are where you will pay. Interior materials, clip fasteners and air channeling are where your money goes. My advice is find your price range, get a few helmets together and then try them all on for at least half an hour before you purchase. Out of the bunch you have you can then deliberate on the trimmings like materials and airflow. Hope this helps mate : )
Just bought one. Replacing a nolan n43. Which i hated. So far the AGV is far superior. Very happy with my AGV K3 SV 5 Continents helmet. It's very comfortable and the ventilation is perfect making it not fog up in the cold and not overheat in the warmer weather. I've heard comments about it being noisy but as I am usually travelling at 90 or less it's not been an issue for me.
I ride a BMW R1150 RT. It is a sport touring bike with a large electronically adjusted windscreen. I use two helmets, a flip up Schuberth C3 Pro and the AGV K3 SV. The Schuberth costs twice as much as the AGV. I find that the AGV, while not at the same quality level, is a good helmet. Its only drawback is the noise level, which is higher than the flip up Schuberth! No matter how I adjust the screen, the noise level gets annoying above 80 km/h (50 mph). So I always use earplugs with it. Other than the noise it is a great value for money helmet. I like the shape, the design, the excellent ventilation and the fact that it is not heavy For a polycarbonate helmet. I also like the drop down sun visor, which is dark enough to use even here in Greece. So I recommend it, just buy some earplugs...
Ragavan N c'mon now... he showed zero signs of anything special. He was reckless, repeatedly warned and penalized about his recklessness, and was a terrible accident just waiting to happen. His recklessness basically cost Pedrosa a title and, not to speak ill of the dead, but, it was just luck that he didnt take anyone else with him when he went.
I just bought this helmet. According the Revzilla's sizing chart, I would be a large (I'm exactly 59cm) . In reading the reviews, people were saying this helmet runs small so I got an XL. It's still on the tighter side and hope it loosens up once the padding wears. Go with XXL. My Sena does fit great in this helmet.
I bought this helmet in March (and it's now the end of August) and I love it. Really nice looking helmet and very comfortable. I like the front vent that operates easily with your thumb on the inside. My only gripe is that the top vents don't do anything. Open or closed is the same, no airflow. If you look into the vent there is the high density foam blocking the hole. No was air is going to pass through that...not sure what they were thinking. But even in 90° humid weather, the chin vent and ability to crack the shield cools me down well without being loud. I would recommend getting the next shade darker on the sun visor. The stock one is too light of a smoke to protect from the sun.
This is my first helmet. Have put 1k miles with it and I could not be happier. I absolutely HATE the internal sun visor, I ended up taking mine out. It was useless for me, and when it was retracted I could see the bottom of the visor in my field of vision. Has anyone else taken this out of their helmet? I highly doubt there is any downside. I've been good to go wearing sunglasses with clear visor, although I'd like to get a pinlock ready iridium visor soon. So other than the internal visor, it is so comfortable and the air flow is incredible. It does not get too hot, the wind noise might be higher than a helmet in a higher price range. Use some earplugs and you're all set. The visor is so easy to remove, all in all a great helmet for 200 bucks.
Really nice video, i had a k3 and loved it and when i was looking at the SV i thought it looked a different (better) shape. Now you've confirmed that I'm going to go ahead i think.
I hated the old K3 fit, and in general agv fit, hurts my ears. Tried putting on a k3-sv, impressed at improved finishing and increased spacings where necessary. I would choose the k3-sv over k3 and k4 evo without any hesitation, but that's just me. I suggest you [other users] try on a helmet before you decide to purchase it. Thumbs up for the great review ZLA team, as always.
Love the helmet for street use. I have a pista gpr. Love it, very light, cuts through air well BUT its annoying for everyday use if you commute to work. In my case i leave for work really early with no sunlight and come home when its mid afternoon and very sunny, so swapping visors got annoying and in winter the pistas vents were only able to be closed with rubber inserts. So, i bought the k3 sv for daily duties and use the pista on the weekends. Cant fault it, inbuilt visor and adjustable vents, also love the extra noise isolation of the k3 compared to the pista
I bought the agv k-3 sv yesterday. (Matte black) as always. It fits perfect, great noise cancelling, feeling safe and looks SAVAGE! Love it, good bang for buck
TechTech09 umm dont have much to compare to but I would say yes. Imagine ski goggles or motocross goggles, the sun visor has that shape. So it blocks the sun good i think
Hey Revzilla, did you guys have a new camera operator for close ups? I find it very annoying that these close up shots kept using the focus in and out at the same time panning or tilting in and out of the point of interest. Makes people try to do brain power magic telekinesis thing to 'try to move' the camera to where the interest should be. I'd recommend that shots be precise to where Anthony is describing the details and to show exactly what he is explaining, instead of lingering around other parts as if an amateur just looking for 'beautiful' shots. You know, the 'oh, this is going to look beautiful with this focus in and out thing and me tilting this way'. This focus in and out while panning or tilting can be beautiful shots, but overdoing it just makes people lose focus. Just my 2 cents.
Mine is size L... deffo looks like an XXL though. 😅 Other than being quite bulky and a tad on the heavy side, I can't really fault it. It's very comfortable, has good ergo's and is of acceptable quality for its very low price. 8/10 from me.
"Hey, this is Anthony with Revzilla, where you can watch, decide, and ride. Welcome to our detailed breakdown of the new AGV K3 SV Helmet, available at RevZilla.com." -DrewZilla
This was my first helmet before upgrading to a higher end model. Although the helmet had a good fit, I always felt the helmet looked big. Like a balloon on my head or something. It appears to have a bulky or larger shell than other helmets. Reminded me of DK mode from Goldeneye video game on the N64.

When you talk about new cheek pads do make it fit tighter, do I just buy the smaller sized pads? I have L size that fits nice and snug, but want a slightly more snugger fit
Cheek pads are interchangeable within each shell size only, i.e. XS to MS and ML to 2XL. If your helmet is size large (L), you would get the size ML cheek pads, which are the thickest available for the larger shell. -DrewZilla *www.revzilla.com/motorcycle/agv-k3-sv-cheek-pads
Just bought this helmet and the tab that's center on the jaw line that slightly holds the visor open broke off. Haven't even had it on the road yet, was showing the features to a friend and it just broke off in my hand. Gonna contact the manufacturer in the morning, I'll tell y'all what they say.
AGV should take care of you, they're a reputable company. I just bought one of these too. They're old and the K1 is better (really just because its newer) but I needed that elements graphic lol
Bought this helmet recently. I wear glasses and would say it is absolutely NOT 'compatible', i.e. there are no grooves for the arms of glasses. Nevertheless I have no issues wearing mine, just takes a bit of persuasion to get them on.
Hi there I have a 58 cm head according to the size chart that's ML size (58 cm ) do you think that the K3 sv is true sized or should I go up to the L which is 59 cm - 60 cm thanks
hey RevZilla,... could you please share with us your opinion when comparing Horizon / K3 SV and K4 evo, which agv model is better as for your experience.
1st = AGV K4 EVO (composite shell and under $200) 2nd = AGV Horizon (composite shell and drop-down sun visor) 3rd = AGV K3 SV (thermoplastic shell, drop-down sun visor, and just over $200)
It depends whether you want to be able to control when you have shade or whether you want your shield to automatically adjust its tint. If it's sunny and you're coming up to a tunnel or perhaps riding under the shade of some trees, it can be nice to quickly retract the sun visor on the AGV K3 SV. The Bell's photochromic shield does take a few seconds to adjust its tint. Depending on the riding conditions, that might leave you with a few seconds of having the shield darker or lighter than you want. The case for the Qualifier DLX, though, is that you never have to take your hands off the handlebars to physically adjust the shield's tint. It's all automatic. -DrewZilla
+RevZilla thanks for the quick reply! I like the transition slightly better. Are there any major differences between the two that would put one better than the other? Quality? Both are DOT/ECE so they cover both safety aspects.
+coolNightFever We do! 😉 All street helmets we sell are DOT-approved (this is by law). For helmets that are also ECE-approved or Snell, we try to mention that as well (see 0:28). As for SHARP, those ratings only apply to the versions of helmets sold in the UK, and often, those helmets actually use slightly different shell constructions and EPS foam densities compared to the US-model helmets we carry, so we don't really use SHARP. Thanks for the feedback though! -DrewZilla
Hey, can i know the difference between the European fit and Asian fit? I was told that the European one does not have DD-ring and also no visor lock-down mechanism. Do you have any info on this?
I believe the European version has a ratchet strap. However, I do not know about the visor mechanism. We only have access to the US versions. I believe the Asian fit is rounder at the crown of the head, while the European version is more oval/egg-shaped. -DrewZilla
Thnx for the review! All AGV K3 helmets cost about $270, but K3 IMOLA model price is $150. Why is that so? Is imola with deffects? Who do the ysell imola so cheap?
What is the fitment like compared to the regular K3? I tried on the K3 at a local motorcycle gear shop in a size medium and it fit me perfectly, but I prefer the SV, which they did not have. I notice they come in either MS or ML.
Anthony mentions that the speaker fitment for 3rd party bluetooth systems (SENA, Cardo) may be troublesome with this helmet. Can you please expand on this? Will SENA SMH10R speakers or S20 speakers fit into this helmet? Thank you.
enthuesd Yes, Sena and Cardo speakers will fit, but have larger diameter speakers than the AGV speakers (not yet available), so they're a very tight fit with the cheek pads. The cheek pads just don't have as much of a cut-out as we'd like. Again, it's not impossible. It's just not ideal. -DrewZilla
Looking to replace the clear visor with a dark smoke visor but it’s been tough to figure out which visor to get. A lot of the K3 visors I’m seeing say they won’t work the the K3 SV. Is there a specific item number for a large size helmet you can help me with? Thank you
The K3 SV uses the GT 2 Shield. The shield is sized to the shell, so you would choose size ML-2XL for your size large helmet. -DrewZilla *www.revzilla.com/motorcycle/agv-gt-2-afsr-face-shield
I got a K3-SV as well but the rear spoiler is added to the shell rather than integrated into its shape. Did they use older shells from the original K3 and just "bolted" the spoiler to it when making the transition?
No, there is no flat visor option for the K3 SV. Additionally, no, you cannot use a visor from the KYT C5. You can only use the AGV GT 2 Face Shields. -DrewZilla *www.revzilla.com/motorcycle/agv-gt-2-face-shield *www.revzilla.com/motorcycle/agv-gt-2-afsr-face-shield
***** Yes, we will be getting replacement parts as they become available. Keep an eye on the main product page below. -DrewZilla *www.revzilla.com/agv-k3-sv-helmet
I meant 56 cm, not mm. i'm leaning more towards the MS as i've read some reviews on your website and it sounds like it's the best choice. But would the ML be the same as a K3 MD?
I have the K3 SV ML, however it is a little bit too big. If I were to buy the MS liner, would I be able to swap it out and expect it to fit me fine? I don't know if the shell size, or placement of the clips change.
No, the shell change is between MS and ML. You already have the smallest size in the larger shell, so you cannot make it any smaller/tighter. -DrewZilla
Hey, I'm really struggling to decide between this helmet and the Bell qualifier dlx MIPS. On the Bell I really like the UV transitional visor and the bluetooth compatibility, but the shape of the AGV is really hard to pass on. Is there much of a difference in wind noise between the two? any input on which one I should buy? Thanks
Not sure if you've made your decision or not, but I was choosing between the same and ultimately went with the AGV. I tried both on and the Qualifier didn't feel like it was well balance. Just standing still my head wanted to roll around. I also got a sore neck after only 5 minutes. The sore neck continued for several hours after I took the helmet off. That could just be my head, not sure. But the AGV didn't leave me feeling that way at all. So I chose the K3 SV. It just came in this week. So far, after wearing it at work to see if there are pressure points and and I'm having no issues.
What are the main differences between the K3 SV and the K5 S? I generally just use my Fazer 600 for commuting. Is the K5 S worth the extra money? Or should I just get the K3 SV for commuting/street riding.
The K3 SV uses a more affordable thermoplastic shell, while the K5 S uses a nicer carbon-fiberglass shell and nicer interior liner. For commuting and street riding, you're probably fine with the K3 SV. -DrewZilla
Bernardo Rico It is tough to say for sure because much depends on the size and shape of your frames. That being said, the AGV K3 SV does have extra room in the temples so your glasses should fit. I also recommend Shoei helmets. -Hi-Viz Brian * www.revzilla.com/shoei-helmets
hi, i wanted to ask if its the same fit as the k3 or k4, i wanted to buy a K3 or a K4 , but now im interested in the SV and i dont have one to try on in my local dealership, but they have K3's and K4's , so if its the same fit im probably going to think about buying the SV because it seems its more bang for the buck
Any specs on noise levels? Looking for a cheapish helmet that has low end noise levels. No motorway/highway action but back roads and around town. Live in the UK so it can get windy even in the summer. Got a c3 atm. But only got £200 and not the £500-600 a c3 pro costs.
+13guns You aren't going to find a quieter helmet than the C3 for less than £200. The K3 SV is only average for noise. You'd really have to step up to something like the Shoei RF-1200/NXR to be as quiet as the Schuberth. -DrewZilla
Thanks for the reply. I went to view the helmet you said about. It was so light compared to mine. Sourced a nice one for £270. Better rating than the c3. Not much over budget. Still like them agv ones too, maybe a future purchase.
Hi Revilla, Just want to ask would Sena SMH5-FM speakers will fit to the speaker pockets inside the AGV K3 SV? or Sena SMH10 speakers perhaps? Hope you could answer my query. Cheers and Happy New Year!
Hi. Is it true that the european version and asian fit version has different shell sizes? Like Europe MS version has smaller shell than the Asian fit MS?
Hey Revzilla! I've purchased a k3 sv in ms, I'm finding the helmet fits well but the cheeks are just not snug, my crown is great and i feel a uniform pressure everywhere except at my cheeks, i dont believe the helmet will move a lot but for my piece of mind i would like a slightly more snug fit. Would you recommend a small replacement liner inside? Or would that create more space within the shell . Thanks heaps and apologies if this question has been asked a million times!
All you need is a set of size small (SM) cheek pads, which are one step thicker than the medium-small (MS) cheek pads you have currently. You do not need to change the head liner. -DrewZilla *www.revzilla.com/motorcycle/agv-k3-sv-cheek-pads
hey anthony was curious..which is better on venting between this and rpha 11..i have a kylo ren rpha 11 and i'm thinking of getting a 2nd helmet..i'm thinking of getting this for daily use or getting a rpha 11 ben spies graphic one..which one is better do you guys think? thanks in advance
The RPHA 11 offers a lot more venting than the K3 SV. The K3 SV has decent venting, but the RPHA 11 has the most venting of any full-face helmet currently. -DrewZilla
I'm looking to get this helmet, but I want the Rossi Gothic Black design. Anyway you guys are getting it any time soon? Not really wanting to order from Europe and get the micro lock instead of a D ring. Also I measured right at 22 1/2 in, I'm wondering, I tried on the K3 medium and it what someone loose up top, should I go with the medium-small or go with a small?
+Tate Daniel AGV hasn't announced when or even if we'll be getting the Gothic Black graphic in the K3 SV. As for size, though, I recommend going with medium small (MS). I apologize for any inconvenience. -DrewZilla
do you think the k1 its better than k3sv? i like both but he design of k1 is better? or what do you recommend for me? i want something lightweight in this price range.
No, the K1 has a similar thermoplastic shell like the K3 SV, but the K1 does not have an internal sun visor. Neither is better, they're just different. If you prefer the K1, get the K1. -DrewZilla
+Jacko Linked below are cheek pads for the K3 SV. Cheek pads are only interchangeable within each shell size. The shell breakdown is XS-MS and ML-2XL. For the smaller shell, size XS cheek pads are the thickest, and MS cheek pads are the thinnest. For the larger shell, ML cheek pads are thickest, and 2XL cheek pads are thinnest. If your helmet is size XS or ML, those helmets already have the thickest cheek pads. -DrewZilla *www.revzilla.com/motorcycle/agv-k3-sv-cheek-pads
Hi, i have asked this before but i'm still not sure. I have a K3 MD and it fits nice and snug and i've tried a K3 SM before and that almost crushed my head. I've measured my head and it's 56 mm, what do you guys recommend as i don't want to make the wrong choice. Please advice. Thanks.
Why in your review the agv k3 sv doesn't have a spoiler?..i bought one *sorry it's not from you guys* and i have a big black spoiler in the back, just a little bit over the back exhaust vent..can you explain? Is my agv k3 sv helmet original? Thankyou
Jerry Wibowo It's possible you may have purchased the AGV K3, not the AGV K3 SV. The label on the back of the helmet should say which model it is. -DrewZilla
Jerry Wibowo Outside the US, AGV sells the brother to the K3 SV, which is the K5. Both have the internal visor, but the K5 may have a slightly different spoiler. -DrewZilla
I just get it...agv that were sold in the US and europe are different from the ones they sold in asia...US = no spoiler , Dot Mark Asia = Spoiler , No DOT mark
Thanks for the reply. Got it already sorry it wasnt from you guys. Im all the way in malaysia. If im gonna order more than $300 u betcha ill be coming to you guys!
Denis Čaleta Yes. Maybe. We think so, but only because the K3 SV borrows some features from the Pista and Corsa. The thing is, we haven't had a chance to play around the with K3 SV that much, so we can't say for certain how the ventilation compares. -Kraus-e
With the drop down visor in the fully lowered position, you use your hand to extend the visor until the top edge is visible. You then pull the visor sides, one side at a time. -DrewZilla
orangsekip The K3 SV does not have a completely flat face shield or sun visor, but they are optically correct. I hope that helps answer your question. -Hi-Viz Brian
I just got my agv k3 sv from europe...and i found out that asian agv market provides spoiler at back of helmet which looks more aggresive than european agv...and i am dissappointed with that.., why there is two different spoiler??
Yes, the inner sun visor can be removed and replaced. There are a number of additional tints and colors available. -DrewZilla (www.revzilla.com/motorcycle/agv-isv-inner-sun-shield)
Personally, I find it's on the cusp of round oval and intermediate oval. It's rounder towards the back but a bit narrower in the forehead. It's almost egg-shaped. -DrewZilla
Unless you really want the Skwal's LED lights, I'd go with the K3 SV. It's a bit more compact and offers similar construction and quality for less than the Skwal. -DrewZilla
It's only average for noise, so it's not the quietest helmet. We always recommend using ear plugs while riding, even with the quietest helmets. For a quieter option, consider the Shoei RF-1200. -DrewZilla
The K3 SV has a more affordable polycarbonate shell, has an internal sun visor, and is designed for 3/4 and upright riding positions. The HJC RPHA 11 has a stronger/lighter fiberglass composite shell, is more compact due to the lack of an internal sun visor, and is designed for 3/4 and full tuck riding positions. -DrewZilla
The K1 has a thermoplastic outer shell and no internal sun visor. The K3 SV also has a thermoplastic outer shell, but it also has an internal sun visor. The K5 S uses a stronger carbon-fiberglass composite outer shell and has an internal sun visor. -DrewZilla *www.revzilla.com/agv-k1-helmets *www.revzilla.com/agv-k3-sv-helmet *www.revzilla.com/agv-k5s-helmets
Abey George The K3 SV and K5 have a similar shell shape, but the less expensive K3 SV has a thermoplastic resin shell, while the more expensive K5 (not sold in the US) has a fiberglass and carbon fiber composite shell. -DrewZilla
Oh I see, cause I tried out the asian fit and it's good and all, but I would really like to purchase this helmet from your website, am I gonna have any problems with the fit?

Hello bro, there is a new k3 now with 22.06 ece, have you tried it?
Fredric Anderson does the sun visor come down far enough? It looks like it doesn't.
TechTech09 umm dont have much to compare to but I would say yes. Imagine ski goggles or motocross goggles, the sun visor has that shape. So it blocks the sun good i think
It fits good??
Now i know that the neck roll can be pulled out. Thanks man!
Thanks, *****! Great feedback. Rack focus is a style choice. I sent your feedback over to our Video Team. -Hi-Viz Brian

Mine is size L... deffo looks like an XXL though. 😅
Other than being quite bulky and a tad on the heavy side, I can't really fault it. It's very comfortable, has good ergo's and is of acceptable quality for its very low price. 8/10 from me.
Any comments on this helmet vs the Sedici Strada II?? Stuck deciding between the two. Thanks!
00:00- 00:04 can someone please tell me what he said in the beginning or did he actually have a stroke?
"Hey, this is Anthony with Revzilla, where you can watch, decide, and ride. Welcome to our detailed breakdown of the new AGV K3 SV Helmet, available at RevZilla.com." -DrewZilla
This was my first helmet before upgrading to a higher end model. Although the helmet had a good fit, I always felt the helmet looked big. Like a balloon on my head or something. It appears to have a bulky or larger shell than other helmets. Reminded me of DK mode from Goldeneye video game on the N64.
Maybe your size was on the shells shared with the extra large models
Yep, I'm size L... deffo looks like an XXL though. 😅

-DrewZilla

Thanks for the help!
Great video, I have a one question, is it possible to wear a pair of spectals without an issue when we use the inner sun visor?
Yes. I wear multifocals and prescription Ray Ban Wayfarers with my k3sv
is this helmet glasses compatible just like the K3?
Yes, it is glasses compatible. -DrewZilla
Bought this helmet recently. I wear glasses and would say it is absolutely NOT 'compatible', i.e. there are no grooves for the arms of glasses. Nevertheless I have no issues wearing mine, just takes a bit of persuasion to get them on.
I'd agree with you, I can definitely get my glasses on but its not exactly fluid.
I am thinking to buy this one, but I wear glasses, so you do not recommend me this helmet?
Hi there I have a 58 cm head according to the size chart that's ML size (58 cm ) do you think that the K3 sv is true sized or should I go up to the L which is 59 cm - 60 cm thanks
Update on this bro?
I just received mine from Revzilla. The sun visor does not retract all the way up, and is wobbly! Trying to figure out how to fix this...
I tried on a Rossi faces helmet, the real deal version, I think at the time that was the gp tech. Large fit great. How similar would the the K3 sv be?
MacLomax The K3 SV fits similarly to the GP Tech, so Large should be appropriate. -DrewZilla
hey RevZilla,... could you please share with us your opinion when comparing Horizon / K3 SV and K4 evo, which agv model is better as for your experience.
1st = AGV K4 EVO (composite shell and under $200)
2nd = AGV Horizon (composite shell and drop-down sun visor)
3rd = AGV K3 SV (thermoplastic shell, drop-down sun visor, and just over $200)
Can't decide between this AGV K3 SV and the Bell Qualifier DLX...
Both have equal safety ratings, and both use similar polycarbonate shell construction, so there aren't really any other major differences. -DrewZilla
@@npmagtoto5939 how's the qualifier? Is it good for round oval heads?
Anybody know, what the little fabric, with velcro is for?
hmm... the sun visor doesn't look too dark. Do you think its enough?
you should guys also mention about security ratings in the videos! dot, ece, snell, sharp etc. just a suggestion!
It's just a graphic that's being discontinued, so it's on sale. Other graphics are current and so are at full price. -DrewZilla
What is the fitment like compared to the regular K3? I tried on the K3 at a local motorcycle gear shop in a size medium and it fit me perfectly, but I prefer the SV, which they did not have. I notice they come in either MS or ML.
James Carter The K3 SV is a bit narrower through the jaw, but the overall fit is similar. I'd go for the ML. -DrewZilla
-DrewZilla
*www.revzilla.com/motorcycle/agv-gt-2-afsr-face-shield
I got a K3-SV as well but the rear spoiler is added to the shell rather than integrated into its shape.
Did they use older shells from the original K3 and just "bolted" the spoiler to it when making the transition?
+Giovanni Di Cello No, the shell of the K3 SV is totally new. -DrewZilla
can i change the visor to flat visor like k3? use custom visor from kyt c5
No, there is no flat visor option for the K3 SV. Additionally, no, you cannot use a visor from the KYT C5. You can only use the AGV GT 2 Face Shields. -DrewZilla

I meant 56 cm, not mm. i'm leaning more towards the MS as i've read some reviews on your website and it sounds like it's the best choice. But would the ML be the same as a K3 MD?
+Kendrick Croes For your likely head shape, the ML size in the K3 SV would likely be loose compared to the size MD in your current K3. -DrewZilla
any specs on the speaker pockets?

Thank you for your reply on his question. Im having the same dilemma. ill go with AGV. :)
I would say I was in the same dilemma. I picked up a K3 SV today and love it so far.
How are you suppose to open the chin vent while riding with gloved hands with chin curtain?
The chin curtain still provides enough space to access the vent lever. -DrewZilla
-DrewZilla
Thanks a bunch Drewzilla
Is this helmet eye glasses friendly?
Or can you recomend me one. Full face if it's possible.
Thank you in advance.
Bernardo Rico It is tough to say for sure because much depends on the size and shape of your frames. That being said, the AGV K3 SV does have extra room in the temples so your glasses should fit. I also recommend Shoei helmets. -Hi-Viz Brian

hi, i wanted to ask if its the same fit as the k3 or k4, i wanted to buy a K3 or a K4 , but now im interested in the SV and i dont have one to try on in my local dealership, but they have K3's and K4's , so if its the same fit im probably going to think about buying the SV because it seems its more bang for the buck
fico cofi It's a completely different helmet than both the K3 and K4, but the fit should be similar. AGV is usually pretty consistent. -Kraus-e
thanks , looking forward to buying it
Which one would you recommend for commuting/ sport riding, the AGV K3 SV or Icon Airmada?
I prefer the K3 SV, as I appreciate the usefulness of the drop-down sun visor. -DrewZilla (www.revzilla.com/agv-k3-sv-helmet)
I’m getting my Luca Marini one in 2-4 days haha
Its same design as ls2 rapid made back then can someone know how these two helmets weight?
Closing vents would help with the loud noise at high speed?
Yes, it can help a bit. We also recommend wearing earplugs with any helmet. -DrewZilla
Does the helmet draw wind current?
Revzilla, on the matte black model of this helmet, is the logo on the front a sticker? Can it be removed?
No, it's part of the paint work, so it's not removable. -DrewZilla
How would the bell qualifier dlx fit compared to this?
Both are intermediate oval, so they fit similarly. -DrewZilla
Hi Revilla,
Just want to ask would Sena SMH5-FM speakers will fit to the speaker pockets inside the AGV K3 SV? or Sena SMH10 speakers perhaps? Hope you could answer my query. Cheers and Happy New Year!
+Jim Paulo Gonzales Yes, you can install both the SMH5-FM and the SMH10 in the AGV K3 SV. -DrewZilla
+RevZilla Thanks for replying DrewZilla... more power to you guys... would probably order Sena SMH 10 on your website. Cheers!
hey is this US standard or EU STD ? if we buy it from rev zilla ?
It will be the US DOT standard, since we're located in the US. -DrewZilla
Revzilla,
I am looking for a helmet with a DARK drop down sunvisor similar to a shoei gt air. What should i consider?
I haven't found a helmet that has as dark a sun visor as the Shoei GT-Air and Neotec. -DrewZilla
thank you
Hi. Is it true that the european version and asian fit version has different shell sizes? Like Europe MS version has smaller shell than the Asian fit MS?
We only have the American models, so we cannot compare the European and Asian versions. I apologize for any inconvenience. -DrewZilla
Ow it's ok. Thank you Sir. :)
-DrewZilla
*www.revzilla.com/motorcycle/agv-k3-sv-cheek-pads
RevZilla Great! Thanks for the reply i know you guys get a million questions!
You guys are awesome
hey anthony was curious..which is better on venting between this and rpha 11..i have a kylo ren rpha 11 and i'm thinking of getting a 2nd helmet..i'm thinking of getting this for daily use or getting a rpha 11 ben spies graphic one..which one is better do you guys think? thanks in advance
The RPHA 11 offers a lot more venting than the K3 SV. The K3 SV has decent venting, but the RPHA 11 has the most venting of any full-face helmet currently. -DrewZilla
RevZilla ah ok..going to order another rpha 11 then..thanks for replying drew!
-DrewZilla
+RevZilla ok thanks for the response!
do you think the k1 its better than k3sv? i like both but he design of k1 is better? or what do you recommend for me?
i want something lightweight in this price range.
No, the K1 has a similar thermoplastic shell like the K3 SV, but the K1 does not have an internal sun visor. Neither is better, they're just different. If you prefer the K1, get the K1. -DrewZilla
I'm finding a lot of wind noise coming from the cheek pads just below the ears. Where could I get some thicker cheek pads?
+Jacko Linked below are cheek pads for the K3 SV. Cheek pads are only interchangeable within each shell size. The shell breakdown is XS-MS and ML-2XL. For the smaller shell, size XS cheek pads are the thickest, and MS cheek pads are the thinnest. For the larger shell, ML cheek pads are thickest, and 2XL cheek pads are thinnest. If your helmet is size XS or ML, those helmets already have the thickest cheek pads. -DrewZilla

+Kendrick Croes Even with your additional information, I still recommend size MS. -DrewZilla
-DrewZilla
No , i am sure this is k3 sv..it has the double visor in it..pin lock too..the difference is the spoiler and the DOT mark..mine has no DOT mark

+DOUBLE0SEVEN Yes, the Sena 20S will fit the K3 SV. -DrewZilla
+RevZilla thank you!!!
Hi,
Im just interesting, is this helmet better in ventilation than original K3?
Denis Čaleta Yes. Maybe. We think so, but only because the K3 SV borrows some features from the Pista and Corsa. The thing is, we haven't had a chance to play around the with K3 SV that much, so we can't say for certain how the ventilation compares. -Kraus-e
how do you remove the Inernal drop down visor?
With the drop down visor in the fully lowered position, you use your hand to extend the visor until the top edge is visible. You then pull the visor sides, one side at a time. -DrewZilla
does this helmet got a flat visor? pls reply :)
orangsekip The K3 SV does not have a completely flat face shield or sun visor, but they are optically correct. I hope that helps answer your question. -Hi-Viz Brian
I just got my agv k3 sv from europe...and i found out that asian agv market provides spoiler at back of helmet which looks more aggresive than european agv...and i am dissappointed with that.., why there is two different spoiler??
We really don't know. That's a question you'd have to ask AGV. -DrewZilla
Can the the drop-down sun visor be removed/replaced?
Yes, the inner sun visor can be removed and replaced. There are a number of additional tints and colors available. -DrewZilla (www.revzilla.com/motorcycle/agv-isv-inner-sun-shield)
what about visibility? does it have the same visibility like corsa?
It's not quite as much visibility as the Corsa, but it is still very good. -DrewZilla
Can the sun visor be removed to save weight? Thanks
Yes, it can be removed, but the weight is negligible. -DrewZilla
You'd save more weight getting a crew cut...
This was listed in round oval shape in your website. Is it?
Personally, I find it's on the cusp of round oval and intermediate oval. It's rounder towards the back but a bit narrower in the forehead. It's almost egg-shaped. -DrewZilla
Curious about outer shell size. I'm a size MS, what are the dimensions of the outer shell?
When worn, the MS is about 10.25 inches wide and a hair over 12 inches long from the face shield to the back of the head. -DrewZilla
@@RevZilla Trying to decide on this helmet or the Bell qualifier DLX, do you have dimensions on that helmet as Well? Thanks in advance

What is the smallest shell sized helmet in a medium? Any make.
Do you sell race visors with posts for this helmet?
JofOTL We do not currently carry race visors with posts for the AGV K3 SV. -Hi-Viz Brian
Hi there, I'm wondering this or the shark skwal?
Unless you really want the Skwal's LED lights, I'd go with the K3 SV. It's a bit more compact and offers similar construction and quality for less than the Skwal. -DrewZilla
How quiet would this k3 sv be for hwy commuting??
It's only average for noise, so it's not the quietest helmet. We always recommend using ear plugs while riding, even with the quietest helmets. For a quieter option, consider the Shoei RF-1200. -DrewZilla
Hey rev ( or anyone ) hows this compare to the HJC RPHA 11?
The K3 SV has a more affordable polycarbonate shell, has an internal sun visor, and is designed for 3/4 and upright riding positions. The HJC RPHA 11 has a stronger/lighter fiberglass composite shell, is more compact due to the lack of an internal sun visor, and is designed for 3/4 and full tuck riding positions. -DrewZilla
How about for wind noise at high speed?
It's pretty average, so it will create wind noise at most speeds. We always recommend wearing ear plugs with any helmet. -DrewZilla
What is the difference between AGV K1, K3, and K5 helmets?
The K1 has a thermoplastic outer shell and no internal sun visor. The K3 SV also has a thermoplastic outer shell, but it also has an internal sun visor. The K5 S uses a stronger carbon-fiberglass composite outer shell and has an internal sun visor. -DrewZilla

Are there any difference between this regular fit and the asian fit?
Yes, the Asian Fit is a much rounder fit around the crown of the head, whereas this US version is intermediate oval around the crown. -DrewZilla

Yes, if the Asian fit version fits well, then the US version will not fit well. -DrewZilla
If you wear glasses can you still use the sv?
Yes, you can still use the sun visor while wearing most glasses. -DrewZilla
Hi, Rev. Can I use/mount Sena 20s on the K3 SV perfectly? Thanks!
Yes, you can mount the 20S on the K3 SV. -DrewZilla
Thanks!
Okay I have a weird question: Do you think i could mount the spoiler from a Pista/Corsa on it or would the shell shape just be to different?
