I worked there several years. Beautiful place. I m still very sad we closed. You also had the park and the orangerie. Thx for the video. It brings back good memories.
Thanks for listening to your watchers. I wasn't one that said anything about the fireplace...but was impressed how you took their comments and gave them what they wanted.
wow, what a breath of fresh air this explore was !!! I just watched another group showcase this same building..with disasterous results. all they did was goof around and showed a minute part of what could have been documented. you answered all my questions about the history of the mansion and showed some of what was left of the original decor. they really did a disservice by modernizing it. it must have been a stunning place at one time. thank-you for sharing this and being respectful of it.
Hi Steve, I am impressed with your journeys through time and this place as massive as it is, has a certain beauty to it, it is also unremarkable and undamaged for its age. It is very sad to me that places like this are allowed to be left to fall apart with time. I love watching your journeys with you friends all over the world. I am an older person in her early 50's and i used to explore abandoned places around where i lived in Portsmouth in the UK. It brings back good memories of me and my brother and my sister with a few of my brothers friends exploring the old battlements around Portsmouth and in Hilsea- (pronounced Hilzee),and even the old Chalk pit caves that lead to the fort on the hill that is no longer there. I found out recently that the old building on the hill had been demolished a few years ago and the caves now lead to nowhere, they are all sealed up now. I wish i could explore abandoned buildings again, but i don't move as fast anymore and i have numerous health problems that prevent me from going too far away from my home, here in Canada. It is great that you document what you see and appreciate and respect the places you visit. On the homes, mansions, hotels and monasteries that you have visited i have enjoyed every journey you and your friends make. The houses with all the furnishings clothes and memorabilia that you and others have visited i love how you respect things and put them back where you find them. I can't help but ask do you follow up on these places to see who owns them now and what the plans are for the places. Its sad to me when i see places like that and i wish i could go in there and take an inventory of what there is in the homes and find out what the family wishes to do with all of their family members belongings. to maybe auction them off or something but i understand why you document what is there and the reasons you go exploring like you do. Have you ever gone back to the first houses and abandoned buildings to see how the building look today. I have liked and subscribed and i enjoy every journey with you. I also love your photography and your intro music and slides.
Awesome place, and surprisingly well preserved. Not sure many businesses could make it work these days, but it would make great condos. Not what it was intended for, but at least it would be preserved.
Fun fact about the heardaldry on the letters you're showing on the walls at 5:30 - the "crown" on top of the letters is called a coronet and each rank of noble wears a different type. To me, it looks like a coronet of a marquis (balls and leaves alternating). The letters themselves maybe a cypher.
@@depyk7989 no, I know that, I just meant that if the current owner isn't interested in selling the property, also I don't think that many people even have that sort of money to restore & maintain a building of this size.
@@clambion Well some people do have the money but who would pay for restoration that amount of money? My thought was possibly a government's agency could proceed in a renovation for some kind of use.Alternatively a company to turn this lodge into a beautiful hotel
This was awesome. I hope no one tears it down. It's has so much history. You guys had so much fun. Love your video's. Keep them coming.💕👍can't wait for the next one👀
Wow!!! Steve the strair case going up to the clock was amazing I loved it you do not see that here in the states keep your head up high Steve you are doing very well on the videos your putting out .thank you thank you thank you for sharing your explanation with us📸📸📸📸📸📸📸📸📸📸📸📸📸📸📸📸📸📸📸📸📸📸📸📸
Het is echt stom dat voor een nieuw station in Waals Belgie veel geld ( miljarden) wordt verspild en dit pracht kasteel verwaarloosd achter blijft . Schande!
That soft fluff decorated wallpaper is called "flocked wallpaper" or the fluff is said to be "flocking". I think the desire to see the fireplace longer just has to do with whether it has a remarkable amount of detail or wonderful time period style and also whether the camera will focus or not while sweeping by.
Awesome to get new vids every day! That church looked awesome, so did that attic! But I think the service in that 'restaurant' was not that great, lol!
Wish you showed more of the religious texts on the walls and stuff, would have been interesting to see what kind of passages were used for decoration. Still a great video of course!
another great video it's so amazing I love how you got the detail of the painted wall it was perfect it really was great art work Thank You so much be safe stay cool
Amazing vid as always Steve- but was wondering if you know the future of the place? Is it being sold? I'd hate to see such a beautiful building destroyed or left to crumble!
Never think a building is empty. It is full of beautiful timber work and architecture. I love an empty room because then you can truly see what the room looks like. ;)
Such a massive building and so tall ! How did they manage to build this so long ago? The ceiling for the church is amazing. Such a waste it’s not being used in any way. Should be sold in pieces.
You were not truly wealthy back in this time unless you had your own fully functional Catholic chapel in your residence. That was stunning. The rest was ok. That small narrow room with the leaves in it maybe be a tomb of a previous member of the family who owned this.
Damn she's beautiful and has a beautiful voice! Get it girl! 😁 those black plastic cases were for sockets, ratchets, wrenches and maybe other small tools. Gun case will have foam f.y.i. amazing explore and shots! Loving all these videos bro! Safe travels!
Theres stories of people going missing at some chateau in Belgium, apparently dark shit goes on there something like chateau le amrois or something sorry not keen on french. Theres not much about it on the net, but what is out there is pretty creepy. Worth a lil look.
Great video. I would never go in there, I get lost in a bath tub. This place is huge. Can you imagine the $$$ needed for maintenance of this mansion. It's just so big. Thank you.
Do you know when it was built or any if its history? It is helpful to us to be able to associate it with it's time period. Thank you Steve, you do a great job on these!
castle - A large building, typically of the medieval period, fortified against attack with thick walls, battlements, towers, and in many cases a moat.... This is not a castle!
Any attempt at explaining these subtle differences covered for example by the german language in more detail to english-speaker will fall on deaf ears for the most part. They call it castle, and that's it. They'd probably treat chateau as part of the name and say castle chateau xy...
Cool, a video set in Belgium! Edit; i think the JB on the walls stands for eglise saint jean baptist. Edit 2: Too bad his statue is missing from the pedestal at the end of the hall right before the entrance to the church
Unbelievable. Refined detail, work of art. Im talking about the two girls your with. But the house is epic also. Massive. Thanks from Sunny Naples Florida! 👍👍
My guess is that renovating was too much work and cost too much, and no one really wants to have it so the company owning it just left it there I guess?
I worked there several years. Beautiful place. I m still very sad we closed. You also had the park and the orangerie.

Great video bro!! Hope your audience is ready for the bangers we hit together in France :)
Really liked the painted walls and that stained glass window and clock was AWESOME !! 👍😍
That is one of the biggest mansions I've seen! You could get lost in there. Great video as always man!!
The thing that scares me the most about places like this is that someone could kill a bunch of people and no one would ever find out about it.
Good Morning Steve. Looking forward to seeing another great video.
So beautiful and thank goodness for no graffiti! What a relief from the places that get trashed for no reason. Thank you Steve!

It's a shame that such wonderful buildings aren't being restored and reclaimed
don't think that anyone can really reclaim it when it's already owned by someone.
@@clambion Yes it is feasible with its purchase

They could fix it and let the tourist visit ! The government is stingy!
Another fantastic video and this was amazing explore and keep up the good work Steve
I remember watching you with Josh. I love your new stuff. Thank you so much.
Great site.
I have been watching your vlogs way before i even knew that your mom was my high school classmate. keep up the good work!
The drone opening makes this beautiful!
Amamazing!!! So huge! Thank you guys soooo. much for this visual treat!
This was awesome. I hope no one tears it down. It's has so much history. You guys had so much fun. Love your video's. Keep them coming.💕👍can't wait for the next one👀
That Ave Maria would be a great sound bite for a metal song!
I wish you wouldn't swing the camera around so wildly. It makes this video hard to watch.
This place looks so cool!😩👍🏻
Love my morning!!!! Another video ❤️❤️❤️
6:33 is amazing man, great job
It gave me goosebumps
Great place to explore, many interesting spot to discover! Love it💗💗
Thank you Steve💗🔥👍
Loved this. You're uploading faster than I can view, haha! Great job and beautiful! Love and Peace always, Kat
Your exploration of buildings are so amazing 😉 great 👍 video thanks
Thanks so much Patricia!
This place is gorgeous! Loving your vlogs this yea!
That looks like the mansion that was used for making Stephen King's movie Rose Red.
C m Rose Red was filmed in Seattle
Rose Red is my favorite, next is Diary of Ellen Rimbauer(spelling)!
I love that movie and I'm searching for Annie but I can't find her ! It's based on true story but where are those psychics ?
Oh my lord.... That was my first thought!
Again a very nice video ☺️ I really love that you put a few photo’s in the vid everytime! And don’t stop walking and filming,I like it 😉

This is amazing! Thank you from Canada.
i'm from Belgium and went to a similar building, also a big catholic school, very old, that was also a monastery
good explore, tyvm Bros of Decay are another fab explorers.
Awesome footage!

THE SIZE OF THAT BUILDING WAS AMAZING, YOU SHOWED VERY LITTLE.
Wow beautiful. Nice to see it's not vandalised.
Just got onto following you and must say - this kind of exploration is my jam! Now must play catch up on all your vids and some 🍿 - cheers from WA
Good overview secret vault has more info on their places and why touch an ancient clock
Beautiful place beautiful work @Steve🤘🙌🏻
It’s huge! Love it!
Wish you showed more of the religious texts on the walls and stuff, would have been interesting to see what kind of passages were used for decoration. Still a great video of course!
EPIC is the word , definately haunted !!!
Im thinking (and ive been wrong before) but Ive thought some of the decorative walls could be a type of printed wallpaper and not all hand painted.
Me da coraje ver éstos tipos de vídeos y ver cuánto desperdicio. Y tanta gente sin tener un lugar donde vivir 😕
Sería maravilloso q un buen número de personas viviesen allí y lo cuidaran ☺️
A mi no me da coraje yo iría a vivir haya
Ya hay donde meternos si hay una guerra

Private church on the property? Very high class nobility , wow
in the description it says that the chapel was built back when the building was used as a monastery
Never think a building is empty. It is full of beautiful timber work and architecture. I love an empty room because then you can truly see what the room looks like. ;)
Beautiful church
Steve another awesome video with spectacular photography. You just keep getting better with every explore ❤️
Such a massive building and so tall ! How did they manage to build this so long ago? The ceiling for the church is amazing. Such a waste it’s not being used in any way. Should be sold in pieces.
Great find. Keep it up!
Wowzer ‼️Beauty and the Beast Castle 🏰
Thanks for your vids buddy! That explorer girl at the top floor...jeeze...she was just super hilarious, great soul right there 🌟😊🌟
Love the intermittent photo shots
Loved the video good one
That's awesome! How do you never run into squatters?
This makes me think of the book, and movie Flowers in the attic.... don’t know why exactly that made me think of that, but it did
Me fascinó!!
Los felicito!!

Amazing place my regards from Gibsonton Florida USA
That restaurant part must have been open after 2001, since the prices are in Euro's.
I like this place so Amazing. Make more video :)
Holy crapola! That place is the size of a small town !

Absolutely criminal to let a building go to waste. Please do shut doors and windows to prevent deterioration.
Unbelievable. Refined detail, work of art. Im talking about the two girls your with. But the house is epic also. Massive. Thanks from Sunny Naples Florida! 👍👍
Wow abandoned house but the bell clock still work😄 oh and nice dining room
The city should renovate it and make appartments in it so it can be lived in and preserved.
Hey Steve good to see ya
Love you guys fams
so why exactly is it abandoned now?
My guess is that renovating was too much work and cost too much, and no one really wants to have it so the company owning it just left it there I guess?
I love the flying buttresses in the chapel!
