The Dead Sea in the Bible
There are many mentions of the Dead Sea in the Bible, and it has long been associated with mysticism, wonderment, and religious significance.
1. It appears the area around the Dead Sea was lush and well-watered before God destroyed the area with fire and brimstone (Genesis 13:10).
2. It appears that after God destroyed the area, it changed to the state it is today, a dry, barren desert (Deuteronomy 29:23).
3. It is referenced often to describe the borders of Israel (Numbers 34:12).
4. It was a densely populated area during the time of Abraham before God destroyed the area (Genesis 14:1-3).
5. Sodom and Gomorrah, along with the other cities of the valley, were wicked, sinful people (Genesis 18:20-21).
6. God destroys Sodom and Gomorrah (Genesis 19:23-29).
7. The slopes of Mount Sodom are located in the southeast corner of the Dead Sea, and they feature salt formations that look like pillars - which are traditionally referred to as Lot’s wife.
8. The Bible talks about how this area will change during the Millennial Reign of Christ on earth after the Great Tribulation Period (Ezekiel 47:7-11; Zechariah 14:8-9).

Thank you Holy Land Site.A work of God that caught my sight was that the sun stood still in Joshua 10.13 KJV reference. So I searched sun in the word of God much like you search for salt in the Dead Sea. And there is much Prophecy and insight in the verses about the sun. For example when Christ returns in revelation 19 verse 14 and destroys his enemies with the brightness of his coming. Is that the same as Isaiah 30.26? also, in the tribulation, the sun scorches men, and they refused to pray to God. Thank you for sharing. Amazing video brother! Beautiful sights and a wonderful narration of the tour. The Essenes were of the son's of Zadok as was John the Baptist. John learned and taught with the Essenes in the Judaean dessert (wilderness at the time). These were the people including John that God kept separate from the world uncorrupted from the idolatry in Israel and following the laws that Moses handed down from God exactly as it was. If you read the the Damascus Documents: A Fragment of a Zadokite Work, it explains how they lived and kept themselves separate from the world. This is they who God used to preserve with all accuracy the scrolls found in Qumran caves. This is why it says in Revelation 12:16 'the earth helped the woman , and the earth opened up her mouth, and swallowed up the flood', of (lies of false religions). This was the prophecy of the Dead Sea scrolls by the Essenes. They even understood that marriage was only suppose to be with one woman. These were the son's of Aaron the Levitical priest tribes chosen to do the service of God hid away from the world in a low profile so Satan wouldn't pay any attention to them. In my opinion anyhow.
