I love fishing too!!! We caught 28 today on Lake Texoma on the Oklahoma side. Been watching you for a couple months now. Love the videos and the show. I just can't do the catch and release like some of you do, I wasn't raised that way. I was raised to put food on the table. We love the outdoors and everything the earth provides! I respect you guys, just don't understand the whole catch and release thing, especially with the price of groceries nowadays!
I get the putting food on the table part. And the reason is to let them grow. If everyone kept the fish they caught we wouldn't have any. If I was poor then I would keep more, but I keep about 6 a year. I don't live off of catfish.

I have almost the same set up 12x3 Jon boat tiller driven 25 horse Johnson we even have some of the same reels! I get my shad at the same spot, good there at the spillway. Would like some tips on where to launch my tennis weenie boat
I go up to Gaston there's a bunch of ramps there to launch at. I go grassy creek or nut bush on kerr.

Are you dragging on the bottom while trolling? I live near Lake Norfolk and can not catch catfish for some reason not sure what I'm doing wrong.
I'm suspending in this video, but yes I mainly drag the bottom with a Santee rig and 1.5 oz drift weight tied to my 3 way with 12 lb test. That way if my weight snags I don't lose the whole rig. Highly recommend getting some planer boards and messing around with dragging.

Someday could you give a quick tutorial on throwing a cast net? All I can seem to throw are taco’s. Lol Thanks. Fish on Brother.
The smaller the net the easier they are to throw. Practice in your yard then you will see exactly what the net is doing. When my boys were little I had a old net that they practiced with in the backyard and it really helped them.
