Quick question, since you did auctions on your sales, did you have think about vaulting your cards with PSA and selling right from there? He is in a great spot. I had all of these basketball auctions end on draft night so I was hoping he’d go higher. Almost wish I still held the auto into the season but it is what it is. Letting that go for so cheap sucked.

You won’t get grader notes unless you submit at a $49 plus level. It won’t be for our PSA grading specials.
It irks me when people try to hide the cards when doing reveals. Nobody can really see them anyway and it’s just a distraction. Just stacking them like this makes a smoother video.
I watch a ton of PSA videos too so I know it’s annoying as hell. 31 cards in under 20 minutes that’s how it’s done!
Yeah love these videos, just to see what people are grading and how they did. You seem to have done fairly well this round. I would have done the buy it now on the McCarthy but we live and learn. Thanks for the great content! I hope the Dolphins win at least a playoff game if they are lucky enough to get to the postseason. It's been my only professional team I love that has absolutely kicked me in the nuts year after year. But I will always be a Dolphin fan no matter what!
Yup you live and learn, I will be more selective on lower pop stuff with fewer sales. The dolphins are a cursed franchise we have to lower our expectations and just be happy if we can beat Josh Allen once this season, everything else is a bonus.

I buy cards from China all the time. You have to wait a bit to get them in hand but the price is usually right
Really insightful content thanks! I've never sold my PSA returns as auctions always as buy it now listings, of course then some cards sit for a long time though. After eBay fees and shipping though I don't like knowing what my sale price is going to end up being

Auctions don't show true value. It's one random week where you could hit or lose. Set prices create true market values
You don’t include Insured sending shipping ??? When you send the cards ? You don’t insure ? You only calculate the return insured shipping !!! How about sending shipping ?
PSA should try a horizontal slab option If it improves eye appeal then they’ll be be rolling in re-slab orders. If it works they’ll corner the market on horizontal card grading. That would be a good reason for SGC or CGC to do it.
I agree they gotta do something for horizontal cards. I’m not sure how it would look with an elongated label at the top but I think it should be optional.

I would recommend checking out CGC. Their slabs present really well and their comps are solid now. Cost is nearly half of PSA. I sold about 1500 worth in just a few days, comps on a few of my CGC cards were actually higher than some of the recent PSA sales. Sold a Puka Absolute blue auto graded by CGC for 225 when all other PSA are selling for 150 or so.
I'm sorry but there's just no way cgc 10s is outcomping psa 10s..not sure where you got that from, but it's off..you can probably say that about pokemon, but not sports
I gotta agree with Leo here. PSA 10 in sports is unfortunately a distant #1.

I donno, just mentioning it because I noticed a huge shift in what's being sold at my local card shows. PSA was grading at collect a con here in KC last month but all the tables were selling CGC.
it hurts to do auctions and lose money or break even, but its the best way to learn the market.
Yup I’m learning a lot. My next couple subs will be higher end stuff and I’m staying away from horizontal cards and numbered inserts.
Did well on both risacher cards. I’m surprised some of the Phoenix cards didn’t go for more, they are so clean and those boxes have continued to skyrocket in price
Same I was genuinely disappointed. I put them all on 10 day auctions ending on Sunday night.

If someone sends a card in that has an autograph, but they only want it graded not the auto authenticated does PSA just grade the card and encapsulate it or do you still have to authenticate the auto to grade the card at all?
Or does PSA put a note on the graded card saying the auto was not authenticated?

These auctions are not worth it for lower end cards. But it now at a set price is better... imo
I think you’re correct for lower end stuff. I’m learning a lot along the way here and I think you’re right. I also think I Gotta stop buying lower end stuff.
@@degenripsfor me any card that I plan on grading I add 20.00 to every card to include grading & shipping fees.
So a 10.00 card with fee is 30.00 roughly so I need to make at least 20-25 per card. And I sell the bigger cards in season to get more
I never trusted a grading company when your charged a percentage of what they think the graded card is valued at after the grading. on top of a grading fee. Seems very shady and corrupt. They definitely don’t have the consumers best interest with their sleezy business tactics. I do appreciate you sharing this opening though. good stuff
