@@Towtruck_Dustin mine haven’t been organized cause I’ve always driven the wrecker but once I have a chance I’ll be putting those fence posts in the boxes to help keep it organized. There a bunch of stuff I wanna do.
Good walk around tour....thanks for sharing your video. Nice truck, I've always had international trucks and a fewer ford f650s. Now only international trucks in the fleets. Have 3 international trucks with side pullers car carriers, and all the rest 21 footers with right approach split beds. All air brakes which are more safe for all San Francisco high hills. When I first opened into tow business had trucks with hand brakes....I'll tell ya no bueno it's sucks. Hand brakes for a tow carrier and up or down the hill far to dangerous. Good money was spent for fully loaded car carriers that cost 120k tops for each as today. In 1997 my first truck international with zero miles that I bought of from "house of wreckers" in San Carlos costed me 40k new. Now it's ridiculous 🤣 I appreciate your videos of all the time and I wish I can do video just like how your doing and here CHP or local police department are asshole when it comes to recording videos.
I loved driving the internationals, but I have to say this new KW is night and day difference for the better over our Internationals. Wished you could video over there. I see some crazy stuff coming out of cali on a few instagram pages I follow. Lol
I don’t really see much use for a Kinetic rope on a flatbed like this. I keep them on my personal off-road recovery rigs, but don’t see much use for it on the wrecker.
Our area has a list of the wrecker companies that are contracted by the police departments to tow for them. And the list is generally alphabetical. So that it keep it fair and eliminates wreck chasing.
Around $600 or so for this one. It’s a Unication G4. You can get one (Uniden BCD436HP) that’s preprogrammed off Amazon for a little over $400 but it’s a little more cumbersome to operate.
We have the regular triangles, but I purchased some of the LED Triangles, because I wanted something like that for traffic control. Cones take up alot of space. I can fit 5 of the triangles under the seat.
Down here, when a wreck happens and the police need the road cleared they call for wreckers to haul away the cars and clean up the accident scenes. They do this by calling rotation. They have a list of all the wrecker companies that have applied to be on rotation for that jurisdiction, and they go down the list in alphabetical order. This makes it more fair, and eliminates wreck chasing, like you see in the bigger cities.
Beautiful Brother Congratulations
What year is this truck Dustin?
2022
do a tour of every truck
I don’t know the heavies very well. I don’t get to work around them very much.
Nice truck.
Thanks!
Dustin, really cool layout, thanks for sharing.
Thanks for watching!
Nice looking tow truck
Thank You!
👏👏👏
Dustin, thanks for the tour and nice rig!
Do you need your cdl for this?
No. Not for a medium duty truck.
I need to organize my toolboxes ASAP cause they’re a mess.
I try to keep them pretty organized. I need to go straighten up a few things after that rollover this morning.

Still haven’t gotten the 7.3 running?
@@Towtruck_Dustin nope. Have to do the engine swap but been doing a lot of other stuff. I miss my wrecker
Awesome Rig and setup thanx for sharing. Would you mind sharing where you got the triangle lights and the phone mounts
The triangles are Nite Beams Road Commanders, ordered direct from Nite Beams.
Phone mounts are the Niteize Steelies, ordered off Amazon.
@@Towtruck_Dustin Thank you very much 🙏🏼
great walk around! Very nice Truc
Thanks!
Very nice Rig, great walk around! Stay safe!
Love the new flat bed.... Have you ever had to tow two vehicles at once with the flat bed?
Oh yeah. All the time. We have to double tow fairly regularly

@@Towtruck_Dustin kw are nice, but when their tow carriers or wreckers those are the tow equipment of fun.
How did you mount your broom on top of box?
I got broom mounts from the local wrecker supply.
Shoot send me their info I need to get me some
What happened the international u had
Passed it down to one of our new drivers when we got the new KW.
Like you Dustin I just love new toys! Cant wait to see you in action !!
One item missing a yankum rope ., also guardian angels .

Is there a Paccar engine in your truck and how do you like it?
Yes, it has the 300hp PX-7.
It’s good so far. Has way more power than the other Cummins trucks I’ve driven.
I don’t understand the “police rotation”. Why is the backside of the light bar not full amber?
Our area has a list of the wrecker companies that are contracted by the police departments to tow for them. And the list is generally alphabetical. So that it keep it fair and eliminates wreck chasing.
Also, in Texas, we’re allowed red and blue facing the rear only.
@@Towtruck_Dustin I have to admit that just seems pointless. Thank you for explaining the rotation.
@@bigboyd9775 it’s all about the politics.
@@Smokeroux i understand it but it’s not how things work in Georgia. Like each towing service is assigned to a specific area
👍✌
Where did you purchase the o ring straps and chains and things? trying to find a good site to order straps, chains, etc.
Zips has good stuff. That’s where I generally get everything
Thank you. That’s where i was planning on ordering from. Love the videos
How often do you have to do oil changes and on and get new tires?
Oil changes every 10k, which is around month or so. Tires are less frequent.
Buenas tardes que modeló cuánto cuesta asta dónde está ubicada
Not sure I understand what you’re asking. I’m sorry.
How much does one of those scanners run? I had been looking at some, but I found that I will need one with a digital signal
