    tip: if you don’t have cheese cloth you can also use thin toilet paper or 1 layer of tissue. you can layer it more and more and it still stays on just like the cheese cloth:) hopes this helps!

      Check the ingredients of the lip balm you're using. Stick to natural oils, butters, and waxes for this type of product - anything else is essentially just a glossy layer that isn't adding any moisture.

    I have a silly, non-beauty related question. How did you learn to speak so well? I'm always mumbling and stumbling over my words when I talk, so I always notice and appreciate when people speak well. Have any hints or tips for that? 🙂
    Also, I've noticed people always remarking on your videos where you mention your age that they always thought you were much older than you actually are. I think that has a LOT to do with how well you speak and present yourself, so hope you don't take any of those comments in a bad way 😉 I'm more than 10 years older than you and people think I'm much younger; it has much to do with the fact that I'm always talking like a nervous teenager ("uhhh.. umm... I dunnno??"). I'd love to hear some guidance from an eloquent young lady such as yourself!

    • @ooopticnerveee
      @ooopticnerveee 6 років тому +51

      XxKittyLoverXx that is so sweet of you to post the advice! I'm going to try to make myself more aware that I can think before speaking instead of just blurting out nonsense 😂 Thanks!

      uhmyeahsure , I reas someawhere that Vasiline seals the lip, so moisture can’t escape and that’s good if you have very moisturized lips, but if not it could dry your lips.

    • @emmelys8244

      I use Retin-a so my skin, and therefore my lips, always want to be dry. What I've been doing the last few months is to use a nice nutritious oil on my lips. Jojoba, avacado, sunflower seed oil are food ones. Just apply some on your lips and let it sit for a while and try to nit lick your lips at all. After the oil feels like it has soaked in a little, use a really thick, occlusive lip balm. I don't recommend using a stick form or it will scrape off the oil(s). One that I use is Reve de Miel from Nuxe and I coat my oil-covered lips with it. This really helps keep the oil from rubbing off, getting licked off, removed by weather, etc and also seals out the harsh elements from drying out your lips. It works really well and despite using Retin-A twice a day, everyday, my lips have never been this moist and healthy. I hope this helps :)

      Eda Ö I recommend using a lip balm that has aloe vera in it. Aloe vera is a natural mosturiser and really helps heal broken skin. I also recommend exfoliating your lips two times a week as I have noticed my lips are less dry after I exfoliate. Just remeber to put on lip balm right after. I hope this helps.

      Mix one tea spoon of turmeric with two spoons of plain yoghurt and a tea spoon of lemon juice and put the mix on your face as a mask for 20 minutes, after you wash and dry your face pour some rose water on a cotton pad and massage your face, that's it ! Repeat it daily and say goodbye to acne scars, dry skin and discoloration! You're welcome 😊

      To make your hair longer and thicker mix coconut oil and olive oil together then massage in a circular motion on the scalp and in the roots. Apply a lot to the tips and ends of your hair, the oils strengthens,improves your hair and makes it thicker and longer. Leave it in over night (if you do put a towel over your pillow)or you can leave it in for an hour, repeat ones a week for a month your hair will look nice and healthy 😊.
      Hope this will help.

    Okay so I am probably much older than the rest of the viewers on here, I am 52 and when I was younger I had huge lips, still have them now, but they fill my face much better now...lol. I love using a scrub on my lips and then follow w/organic coconut oil after i wash the scrub off. It leaves your lips soft and so much better. Alexandra reminds me so much of myself... So much of what she shares is what I did.. I was a 1965 baby so I passed it on to my daughter who is now 31. What ever you do, do it naturally, use the same stuff you have in your cabinets and frig... Try honey and Cinnamon and a splash of nutmeg, mix it together, wash face and put the mixture on your face until it dries, wash off and see the difference.. Cinnamon is huge in Antioxidants..you will totally feel the difference ;)

      petroleum jelly is derived from similar ingredients to petroleum gasoline and it really doesn't belong on our skin! It's thick and it provides the illusion that it's hydrating but petroleum actually dries out the skin! Vaseline is just the brand name of the most popular petroleum jelly and I never recommend using it. It bothers me that it exists as a dry skin solution!

    • @hannahhennig7611
      @hannahhennig7611 6 років тому +4

      Vaseline and other white petrolatum products should be used as an occlusive layer to lock in moisture, not as a standalone moisturizer. Its molecular size is too large to be absorbed by our skin so it's not meant to soak in but rather help anything underneath it soak in and keep the lips/skin protected from the elements. Do your own research as to whether health concerns are relevant for you. I personally don't have a problem using it on my skin but to each their own :)

    A sugar I recommend is coconut sugar. It’s very similar to brown sugar but the crystals are bigger. I mix any oil with it and use it for my lips, body and face. Homemade scrubs are my favourite things ever!

    Hi just wanted to say you're one of my favorite youtubers
    You're really genuine and your diy's always work so well
    So I have a request and would be really grateful if you could do a video on how to keep the butt checks, inner thighs, vaginal area clean and smooth
    I don't why but I have blackheads (kinda) on my butt and my inner thighs are pretty dark a video on that would be really helpful
    I adore you sm 💕💕💕

    I've plucked upper lip hair, never thought about threading though. I might try it, but there's "peach fuzz" among the dark hairs and I've tried threading my eyebrows but I guess my face is angular so I haven't gotten that to work.

    Please someone answer me. Which one is better: waxing the upper lip or threading it??

    • @DaniHMcV
      @DaniHMcV 6 років тому +2

      Shanaynay O'keil If you have really sensitive skin threading is better. When I get even just my eyebrows waxed, it rips off skin and they stay red and get puffy for days. So if you don't have that problem, it's probably no difference, except that if you can thread yourself, it's free :)

    I love that you know Vaseline and baby oil/mineral oil is bad for you. I've recently been thinking about using Vaseline in a scrub though because of it's viscosity and the fact that it doesn't dissolve scrubbing agents or soak into the skin. It provides the slick ness that you need, but I also don't want to use it since I know its origin and what not.

  • @christineevan927

    • @nikashagha7507
      @nikashagha7507 2 роки тому +1

      No they are not. Watch dermatologists’ videos like dr dray. Vaseline is one of the best ingredients out there with minimum irritation and is recommended for dry skin and lips. It’s all the natural is better trend and bloggers that don’t know what they are talking about.

      because petroleum create barrier to prevent hydration getting out whilst not providing any hydration itself
      (check Matilda's youtube channel about lip balm)

    • @natalia-xo
      @natalia-xo 5 років тому +2

      According to Denno, Petroleum jelly can create the illusion of moisturized, hydrated skin, all the while suffocating your pores. It's water-repellant and not water-soluble, meaning it merely seals the barrier so that moisture does not leave the skin.
