Wow Eric you are a Top Modeller. What a super detailed layout. I think lights bring any layout to life it gives atmosphere. Most impressed. Best wishes Richard
Nice one fella. Ive also got 5 of the transformers from Timbersurf along with the switchgear…although the first lot of switchgear had to go back as the print was warped!
Eric, just watched the vid and enjoyed it, as I assume you enjoyed building it, it is after all your hobby, my other hobby is building model boats which I have sold on occasion but if I filmed myself making them I wouldn’t expect to be subsidised by the viewers, yes model railways is expensive but again it’s your choice to build and film them, but please don’t start complaining about the editing etc, just don’t do it if it’s a pain. You seem like a splendid chap, don’t spoil things by bringing money into the equation.
I do see your point although i think you have missed mine slightly, my thinking is that if i do go ahead with it that i wouldnt want to take anything away from the regular videos, it would be little extra bits that i wouldnt normally post for example. On the other hand there are infact quite a lot of things i show in videos that i dont do for my own enjoyment, where i show people how to’s and such. A patreon/membership would be completely voluntary
@@UndergroundEric , I take your point and think I was possibly seeing you in the same light as those half wits on utube who want payment for their cretinous views on anything and everything, and as you say you’re helping people with useful tips and advice, so I apologise for my criticism, one very annoying thing about you is your impossible to dislike.

the statio nlooks good and the sub station does look flipping awesome. you are right that it looks " very LUL" Could be so many stations on the east end of the disrict line. Absolutely nailed it !!!!!! - A favour , its very annoying that the Harefield playlist goes from newest to oldest videos, the playlist should be the other way round for those sad cases who watch sometimes when they cant sleep :)
Ahh does it really! I didnt clock that. Wonder if its something i am able to alter. I guess as standard its because i add a new vid each time i upload so naturally it goes that way. Odd one! Thanks for the comment mate
Station area looking great! I would 100 percent get behind a Patreon account - we all pay one way or another to be entertained and supporting people like you who put out quality long format content is something I could totally get behind.
A London Transport van might well have been more appropriate than the Railtrack van!! That’s the electric substation that was at Edgware Road Station!!
Bit of a lengthy video, Eric, but it's well worth the watch, and the substation area looks awesome, and the platform looks brilliant. Thanks for sharing 👍
The answer to doing things one handed..... where do we begin? and ribbed for pleasure? are you thinking of getting a boat as well? Looking good and a very good vid. Seasons greetings.
Hi Eric I did the same with shunters building, cut it in half and placed it end to end so it looked like a large building but did not protrude too much onto my back scene. Platforms look great and the pathway to the signal box is a nice touch. Wishing you and your family a very Merry Christmas and best wishes for 2024, PS don't work too hard over Christmas. Cheers from Barry 🎅🍻👍
The number of engineering trains seems indicative of the time of year!! One can ALWAYS tell if it’s a holiday because of the number of engineering trains on the line!!
Hi Eric Happy Xmas and comirations fro working over Xmas just think of the locos u can buy ! great job re the substation mand station, looks absolutley lovely now. Merry Xmas to you and your good lady.
Hi Eric, have you ever thought of buying a 3-D print. You can very easily design your own bits and pieces for your layout. Great video. Merry Christmas and a happy New Year.🌲Roy
Great stuff. Massive bit of progress there, and it looks darn good. Clearly some Australian electrical engineers refitted the substation ... 🤣 On patreons/memberships, I did use to subscribe (well, not subscribe - not sure what the word is - patreonise?) to some, but as so many model railway channels recommend others, plus youtube's own recommeding algorithms, there are just too many to support equally and fairly, so I'm sorry to say, I've knocked them all on the head for now. Sounds tight, but resources aren't limitless! Not that you shouldn't go for it. Hope the Christmas workings went well.
Great update eric i wouldn't worry about lengths of your videos as they are always entertaining , if you go the patreon way i'll definitely contribute ...........tony
Well Eric you have done it again, great Vid , you make it look so easy, so how much time did you spend doing the work you did in this Vid, I spend hours doing stuff on my layout and looks so little for so much time, Great work and hope you had merry christmas and wish you all the best for 2024
Mark i hope yours was good mate. Id say i probs spent a week faffing around from ideas in my head to the end result. Though i do dedicate a lot of my free time to the layout even if im just doing stuff off camera
Had to grab one! Just wondering the best place to put it really. Somewhere visible would be ideal but i guess in reality it would be inside the station building. Hard one
@@UndergroundEric yes they are found in ticket halls , but am sure some poetic license would mean you could place it near station entrance at platform level maybe
We must remember the fact that this Bachmann product was made for the last production of electrified model Tube trains in 1993. It looks great as you’re using it.
Firstly Merry Christmas from Australia, please watch where you put the cable arch / trays over the 3 lines as I doubt that it would be where a train slipping passed a signal at stop / danger and running through the open catch point would take it out. Sorry scratch that comment for I notice later in your video it may just be safe where it is.
Great work, the substation looks the part and the insides, wow! Take care with the cable run, a signalling cable run would not go into a substation. The cables in and out of a substation would be several inches in diameter and not many of them. Happy Christmas, Dave
@@UndergroundEric What you have around the signal cabin looks really good, the walking routes and the cable run arches, reminds me of typical Met sites. A usual cable run would have signalling cables trackside with larger cables at the back of the cable run that would go into substations and switchrooms.
