- While packing for a Himalayan trek, make sure that you are ready for a variety of weather. While you trek you will sweat as the temperature will vary around 15 - 20 degrees in the daytime, for which you will need a nylon polyester quick dry material as a base layer. At the same time you will be exposed to the cool breeze all the time, so don’t forget to add a wind jacket on it. While you reach campsite, after the sunset the temperature will drop drastically to around 5 degrees. So make sure that you are carrying a proper warm jacket. Thermal base layer, Fleece or sweater can be handy to cope up against the below zero temperature at the highest camp. Always be prepared for rain by keeping a poncho. Clothing accessories like water proof snow gloves, woolen cap, sun cap, woolen socks and other items like head lamp/torch, sunglasses, lunchbox, water bottle and toiletries are important.

on my own outdoor trekking, I used different color "Pillow cases" instead of the plastic
( now I have changed them into "dry sack")
on a longer trek I turn my "undies" while the other one dries on the backpack
"I learn as I go :) "
