  • This is my setup to run spotless water when washing cars.
EDIT: Don’t use the Camco Filters. After a PPM test, I realized they do nothing for how we’re using them. I will be posting a video soon on an updated solution. Thanks
Use spotless water for rinse only- when rinsing of soap.

I’ve seen videos that those little pre filters don’t do much (not the XR spotless setup) and if so it’s very very minimal. Imjoshv did a video about those, worth checking out. Does a lot of comparison videos.

I’m actually in the process of making a video on a custom bypass I made. Much nicer and it’s complete with the unit. No need to attach it like this. I don’t like their version.

Get a Aqua Pro Water Softner will help alot with pre filtering the water before your big DI tank will help a ton instead of those tiny filters :)

The filter will cut down the TDS going into the DI system?

@@rickyrice7376wouldn’t do much the filters do a great job at that already, you would just use it for straight tap water

Nice setup. I don’t understand why the CR spotless doesn’t have the bypass valve included or as an option.

I use the same system and when I attached my home hose to it it’s 160 PPM and then when I attach a hose to the output system it comes out as 160 still. But if there is no hose on the output then it’s a perfect 0 can anyone help?

It’s not a good idea to use an extension cord on these. I know you have it that because the long stock cord I a pain to keep neat. It’s because of the power they draw can be up to 15 amps. Make sure your extension cord isn’t getting too hot. It’s reason the stock cord is so long. Adding an extension cord too is is a bad idea. You’d be better off shortening it.

Are you just babbling man? Not a good idea to use an extension cord? You do know different extension cords have different ratings for power right?
Also this unit is meant for MOBILE detailers, why would it be bad to use an extension?
