Great video, I am 100% sure you all being totally prepared and maybe the most important thing your positive friendly attitude towards the Coast Guard made your inspection easy. Keep the videos coming. Safe Travels.
2:18 Lol, how you spell that? “Dinga, dinga, do” hehe. Love our Coast Guard, thats so cool and your reaction is even better. Love love Waterways, the East Coast is so foreign to us compared to where we used to cruise. We haven’t even got our next boat yet and I study it for fun, yeah I’m a little nerdy.
The Coast Guard has auxillary units all over. All volunteer. They can work with the full time units at times or did years ago. You might want to check them out if you have some time.
Yes for sure, we are planning on keeping this boat a while but will get a different one with things we have found that we want/need . And that's one of them :)
The really good gen 3 and 4 stuff isn't cheap. I had a gen 1 night owl scope that was pretty good and was not too bad when compared to not having NV at all. I have used the gen 3 in Iraq, and the clarity and sharpness are much better. The gen 1 scopes are still useful as long as you have some ambient light or a good IR source to illuminate the target. @@terrykeever9422
@@adventuresofsomeday2194 gotcha! I didn’t see an iPad or phone. I overlay my navionics tracks to Aqua Maps for just a little more detail and redundancy
I just went and listened, lol, I can't remember now! I think it was the mic to the cb radio😅. I comes off alot and scared me so it was probably that! Lol

Ever think about night vision? I always thought it would be helpful at the boat ramp. A little pricy, but worth it.

Night vision isn't that expensive these days. Lots less than $100.
