How To Make A DIY Stud Earring Jewelry Organizer

Step 1
Prep frame
A: measure and mark location for sawtooth hangers. Tap with pliers, nail and hammer. Then pre drill. Install sawtooth hangers.
B. Measure and mark for cup hooks. Measure the cup hooks centered on the frame and make little T’s every inch.
Step 2
Paint
A: sand frame lightly
B: wipe off dust with damp rag or tack cloth
C: paint back first
D: paint front of frame next
E: let frame dry
Step 3
Cup hooks
A: screw in cup hooks into pre drilled holes
Step 4
Install cork and cardboard
A: Measure and cut out cork and cardboard
B: hot glue the inside rabbit of the frame.
B: quickly place cork in frame and press down
C: Hot glue around edge of cork
D: quickly place cardboard on top of cork
E: hot glue again
Step 5
Felt pads
A: place 3/4 inch felt pads on back corners of the frame to prevent scratches to the wall
Step 6
Hang on wall and decorate with your pretty stud earrings and necklaces

Sorry for my ignorance, but how does it work? If you stick the studs into the cork what do you do with the backs??

We just keep the backs on and push them into the cork. My daughter has also used a small clay bowl for backs. Now we just keep them on.
