    Your animation was superb. But still not clear visualization about 321 principle which you mentioned 1trasnation 2 rotations with respect to what datum?

      Thanks Ramkumar. 3,2,1 principle talks about primary, secondary and tertiary datums. All the parts have 6 degrees of freedom (3 translational and 3 rotational). Primary datum will constrain 3 degrees of freedom, secondary datum will constrain 2 degrees of freedom and tertiary will constrain only one degree of freedom. That's why it's referred as 3,2,1 principle. Hope it makes sense to you now.

    You called a vertical distance on a on a horizontal datumn when it was really horizontal distance on a horizontal datum and vice versa im lost on how you confused the two

    When specifying datums Why do you say a MINIMUM of 3, 2, and 1 point ? It is exactly 3, 2, and 1 point. for the primary, secondary, and tertiary datums.
