I’m a bino junkie too lol. I just picked up a pair of athlon Midas g2 8x42 on eBay for a steal of a price. I have to say they blow my vortex diamondback hd’s out of the water. Check them out, the specs on them are impressive and there performance can’t be beat for the price in my opinion. These celestrons have been peeking my interest as well.

I read that a lot of the Kowas have some sort of a prism design that is clearly visible in the eyepiece when looking through them. especially when looking at a bright source. how are your pairs doing ?

Never seen or noticed that. These Kowas are actually my favorite binos in anything under a grand that I have tried.
