When will James be handing his trophy back?

@richardtyler296 - Nice set up & great advert for Octbox. I'm sure it gave James an edge.
For the avoidance of doubt, what are the rules for this match and where can they be found please?

Under the old NFA rules (not sure about now as just got back into fishing) you could only wade out 1m from the bank or to knee depth. Has this rule changed now or is every venue different? James is a class act though, I think he's brilliant so well done James.

The Evesham Festival surely has a set of rules. What is the rule on wading in your allocated peg / swim?
Many associations and match committees generally allow competitors to wade until knee deep, otherwise one MUST be able to touch the bank from where the competitor chooses to fish from.

Well done again James, but surely wading out above the knees is not right, I'm sure it used to be up to your knees or if it was really shallow only a certain distance from the bank 🤔

Well done James and obviously a super sturdy platform to fish from , only question is don't they fish to best practice Angling Trust rules on wading in Wychavon champs ?? , even though James maybe of a smaller stature he was way above his knees next to his platform...

They do not fish to the Angling Trust Rules and Angling Trust do not support the event.

Would have thought they fish to some sort of match rules Richard but the question was about how far James was wading out and the matches I fish is generally just about knee height ish for safety etc ...quoting General practice Angling Trust rules as an example@@richardtyler296

      Thanks for the information Richard
I wonder if you could please inform us of the actual rules of this competition
This peg wins money week in week out and I’ve never heard of anybody having to wade out 6 meters! As far as I’m aware it’s usually fished from the pallet and very occasionally someone may get in directly below the pallet just to be at a lower level to the water

How did James manage to get onto the box when up to his waist in water?

Whatever happened to standing up in the water and fishing? Anglers getting lazy these days it seems and as for fishing that far from the bank, rules have slackened in the times.
