A spider jig was one of my childhood favorites. It's very versatile and easy to fish, but I tend to find it most effective white maintaining contact with the bottom fishing it from shore, rather than from a boat.
I’m back! My lady n i had our baby boy, Been Mia for last 11 months. Solid tips and content IF…. It’s about that time soon! Delta slayer strikes again.
tks for the short history. I have an old friend always talking about what he called was "Spider bait jig". Now I know what he is talking about. I have fished it before just never knew it was the same. --- side question at 3:58 there is a guy your fishing with that use to be a part of a bait company and had a channel and then he left. I use to watch him all the time. name? still around?
Glad to help bro, yeah that’s Travis Moran, we hosted Lucky Tackle Box together a long time ago. He still does some live MC stuff for Bass Pro Shops events.
Although not as good as original salty craw wow-mart does still sell one called jeffs salty craw that is hell on all bass in clear ozark creeks and rivers .. damn hard to beat in ponds and lakes as well. Nice lube tube channel guy.
I'll have to try this here in Tennessee. Came across brand Tightlines UV last night. 5" Whisker Blade grub has jig skirt style material impregnated into head area of soft plastic. Nick do you have a jighead you use that is the most snagless ??? I have said a lot of cuss words snagging submerged timber :(((

Twenty years ago it was popular with a football head to drift and drag on Lake Erie. It still works.
