They do make kits for aftermarket fairings but if you still rock a full face you can place a sena head set in it to listen to music …

Awesome content as usual man. I personally really do dig that new low rider st model. I had a sport glide before I have my ultra now and the only complaints I had were no speakers and the lopsided saddle bags. Well the st fixed 1 of those problems lol. They still got the lop sidded bags. But anyways good stuff man. Low rider s and thrashing supply bars

@@DeterminedVeteran 2 totally different worlds sport glide was awesome for ripping it up and having some storage but the bagger is still fun to rip around but not as hard as the sport glide however you do get a looooooot more storage space and way more comfortably with the bagger. Overall if I was doing bar hoping and twisty roads with occasional over night trips, sport glide. Longer trips and more than 1 night out bagger
How does putting forward controls on affect the performance???

hahaha no I was a dirty engineer with bad hearing! I always adjust audio with my editing software so voice is crisp and able to be Heard... but yes I am half deaf as well

I have a 2021 low rider s. I actually like the speedo and tac on the tank like it was on 2021. I'm not a fan of sporster look with the speedo up there I think it looks cheap and ugly. But the 117 for this year is great

22lrs. My brother in law just upgraded his 16 rg 110 to a 117. His engine had valve problems at 20k Harley extended warranty replaced it so he had it upgraded while it was apart.
Thank the good lord they fixed it under warranty! HD’s warranty is better than Ford no doubt 💪🏻💪🏻

I recently test road one of these at Daytona the Jiffy stand is entirely too short the bike I rode fell over because the previous rider didn’t extend it all the way, also the left foot peg gets in the way of you accessing the jiffy stand not sure if this can be corrected unless you put on forward control and if you’re over 40 and 5 foot 9 you will definitely need them unless you’re Rikki Rockett the racer, which most people are not

Went through Motorcycle Mechanics Institute long ago, basic/High Performance, then HD mod, as well as Yamaha mod. Worked in the industry for quite a while, then decided to join the Navy once Desert Fox started. Anyway, have a great day and a better tomorrow.

I’m thinking about trading my 22 ultra for a low rider s 117 or May save a few bucks and go 114” crimson red and just add stage 2 to it and ride on.

2022 Low Rider S and Thrashin Supply Bars! I agree, it’s time to step up their game a bit. The display and LED signals are my 2 gripes. Still happy though that they are becoming more performance oriented.

Not clear on something I thought you might of said regarding the visor. Did you mean to say that Harley ''WILL'' be offering the ST fairing as an accessory? If so, I hope the saddlebags are too? Also when you highlighted the air filter you should of enlightened us on why there is no more filter sock being provided or as an accessory. How do we ride in the rain now?
hey Eric thanks for writing I do believe some of the parts will be an assessory at the minimum there will be plenty aftermarket parts for it... if memory serves me correctly the sport glide came with assesories in the HD catalog I will def come with a rain shock I bought a low rider back in 2017 and it came with it.. thanks for taking the time to watch ! hope I answered your questions.
@@DeterminedVeteran I think you are wrong on the rain sock as one dealer told me they are using an oil that replaces the sock but I thought I would ask as there is so much wrong information going on. As a matter of fact if you go to the Harley webpage and look up that air filter you will see there is no rain sock offered and many people on the reviews are complaining there is no rain sock. Just trying to get the facts straight as I think you are wrong and other people need to know what's what.

I agree harley needs to do led from the factory, but i can also see that they would do it that way to make money on accessories knowing people will swap them out. But for the low rider s I think they did the analog tach and digital speedo to try and keep the throwback look. I personally like having a old fashion tach vs a digital one. Thrashin supply bars!

They have already made all the extras you mentioned when they marketed the bike.You just have to buy them.I don't care they still make the best ,do it all,bikes available. I’m not a fan of the new speedo, looks like a sportster. The kickstand is decent, but lots of customers complain about it because of how they don’t feel sturdy. Not a fan of the ST at, all. If you want a performance Softail, build one.

2022 Low Rider S algo, as nice as this bike and the touring model are I just can't bring myself to trade up my 2011 dyna street bob (has the SE 110 tire shredder kit making 106hp/122tq) but I'm sure it's night and day in the handling dept.

The LowRider just like all of the Softail models has a Single Cartridge in the front tubes. The tops look cool but they aren't adjustable front forks. I get why they did it but I think they should do a CVO version of this bike with all the Add ons, Ohlins front and rear suspension with mono block Brembo's. That would make this bike a full on performance model. Thrashin Supply Bars. The Low Rider S won't be able to have the front Sheild of the ST because there is a frame mounted add on that isn't available from the P&A.

Right direction, BUT DO NOT GET A DIGITAL TACH. I am extremely bias to a analog style tach. Something about the needle is just so much better for a tach. Speedo doesn’t matter.

@@DeterminedVeteran In that case it's utter shit that a bike that costs 18.4k doesn't have LEDs and an LCD screen. I'm tired of people letting Harley off the hook for this shit and why I'll likely never buy one at least not from Harley themselves. It's 2022 give me the tech that bikes that cost literally less than half the cost of this bike as standard equipment. I'm tired of hearing "fit and finish" and "aftermarket support" as justification for screwing people on price. but that's all Harley does. The price would be acceptable if it didn't immediately require another 3-10g to make it the way it should have come off the showroom floor. When I do buy a bike it'll likely be a Harley that I will make damn sure I buy off an individual so Harley themselves don't make a single cent off of me.

Feel wise it’s about the same … I couldn’t tell much difference when I sat on it off camera
The 22 St and S both have the same travel that is about an inch over the previous bikes. It simply is a Heritage shock that is longer… I installed it on my 20 S and it makes a significant difference in making the bike much more sporty and flickable. You can pick up a used shock off eBay for $200 and have the same setup.

The digital dash is not a value addition I think( it will fail just like a phone in sometime and will be 1000s of $ to replace)… I think the current dash is good quality and very good and I do not want another tablet on the handlebar…

That little faring don’t do anything… don’t really matter. You can get the st if you really want… but honestly if you wearing a full face helmet as you should be… it’s ok. Especially if it’s really hot outside… I know harley riders tend to avoid helmets…. But it’s not really a good idea

The mid-controls make for a very cramped lower body. I recently rode the Lowrider ST and Fat Bob back to back. The mid controls put the rider's knees pretty high, then the low seat makes for a forward lean to the bars. Knees way up, body bent forward, and I found that very uncomfortable. Forward controls do not hinder spirited backroad bombing on bit or make the "handling go to crap". Ride the Fat Bob to see what I mean.
Every UA-camr and customer still says the same thing about no led lights on Harley’s… taking it out of the showroom I expect to only spend money on comfort upgrades not safety :(

If Harley really wanted to make a splash they would’ve started putting these 131” motors in there bikes, maybe next year, being ANOTHER opportunity for anniversary money, wouldn’t hold my breath though
