I was at this game with my old man in the Rainbow Stand. We usually went in the Smethwick end. What a great game of football. Grounds have had their atmosphere castrated.
I was there that day behind the goal in the Brummie road. Darren Bradley tried a similar shot one or two games before this but didn’t score but to then try it against Wolves and it go in, just brilliant. English football will never be the same again so glad I was around to see this from the 60’s onwards.
Wolves fan. My first BC Derby. Still have that Wolves top and the programme from that day. I was 14. Wagged school and missioned from Brum to Molineux to queue for tickets. Imprinted on my mind that day is forever. Wish the footage was clearer to see into the mass of bodies. Darren Bradley went to my school. Remember the 3 Albion ends erupting when his goal went in. I’ve been several times to derbies since and never seen Wolves win, including a few months after at home when Paul Marden scored in the 1-2, the 0-3 in the cup and the 1-5. Being as I appear to be a jinx, I’ll be taking my son to play for his team on the 28th before legging it home to watch it on the box…
@@wolves1980 Nice. I had to get the bus back to Brum and there was an older Albion fan who lived near me sat opposite. He pointed to the top of the scarf poking out of my coat, gave me a wink and advised me to stash it sharpish.
@rooster45 yes the same season at home we caught the train from Owen Street tipton as the train was coming from Dudley port way you could see heads hanging out the window there was about 200 wba fans on the train when we got on a group came down started grabing scarfs off children necks throwing them out the windows and wanting to beat the handful of dads who were on the train allways remember it

I really loved the fact that that the media was "Wolves are a rich club with their new investment by Heyward". Historically WBA are just as big. And on the pitch, it was very different.
When footy was footy no Var! And when tackled da roll around for five mins 😂 rainbow 🌈 stand used sit in there. Paul Birch was good friend of mine went same school kept in touch all time. R. I. P bud. Boing Boing 👍

@@philh8288 haha I was fearing this score line today. Hope Albion stay up. Wolves are doing nothing this season. But we playing Chorley soon. Last time we played Chorley we lost. Humiliating. But the good news was that we signed Bully from your grubby club just after ! Ooh Bully bully! Bully bully !
He played during the 1992/3 season, he did ok at the start, but injury, and age caught up with him, Experienced strikers were signed on loan Blissett and speedie, to cover him, Later Andy Hunt was signed and scored 9 in 9. Including v port vale at Wembley. Garner was sub that day, but only came on for the last minute. The 93/4 a sent off sub at Barnsley, played in this game, cus of the super one having shingles. A handful of appearances later went to wycombe on a free.. In a nut shell did ok for an olden 😂
