    I have a 2020 F350 SRW w/ 144K miles, and I have had no issues with the trans or engine. Just ordered a 2022 F450 and I appreciate your insights on it.

      @@01AudioVideo01 The dealer could not give me a time frame other than the sooner I order the sooner it will come in.

    Great video. My daily is a 20 F550 with a 12’ contractor body, 10 speed. Love it. One thing that helps with the tram lining a great deal is a good quality dual stabilizer setup. I’ve got a 22 platinum 450 coming to replace my 17 250. My 17 250 single wheel is a very nice truck, but it’s hard to get around how good the 450 and 550 drive with the wider track front end. I get funny looks when I tell people how easy the truck drives and how tight the turning radius is.

    The centramatic balancers are great for this trucks and big rigs.

    I have a 2020 f450 Platinum with 32k so far and around 5k pulling a heavy 5thwheel (23k) with no issues. Love this truck, I’m getting even wear on the Continental tires that came on it . I have the rotated about every 7500 miles . I may check out the centrimatics .

      How do you rotate? Which wheel to where? I put the order in today at the dealer for F450 Limited. I am going to order Centrimatics. This is the part # - Front 400-422. , Drive Rear - 400-423

      I’ve had the dealership do it about every 6k or so . First rotate they just moved right side to left . Second rotate they moved fronts to back and moved inner dually to front. To do this the have to break down and change wheels since the inner dually wheel is steel . I found out the dealership was cheaper than some of the commercial tire shops here . Discount won’t touch them because they are considered commercial tires .
      I also put the Centramatic’s on and I think they help with some of the minor vibration. Turns out Centramatic is about 30 miles from me so I just went there and picked them up to save shipping. Installed myself with no problems.

      @@cwtex59 Cliff- You just gave me the roadmap to follow. I will do exact same. 1st- left to right, 2nd - front to back and back inner to the front- here, do you move the rear out to rear in? - I will also get it done at my dealer. On the 3rd and on tire rotations, do you plan to repeat the 2nd time process? : Do you have a power tool to unlock your nuts? How do you jack it up and be safe? I am little scare and don't have big jacks. - Do you check the tire pressure manually? or Did you install the TPMS? Any other ideas or sharing will be well appreciated. I heard Alcoa has aluminum wheel that all six wheels are same and you can rotate freely. - But it is about $2600 for all six and I really don't want to change out the perfectly beautiful wheels to something else. I also copy and paste the valuable instructions for future use.

      The dealership will know how they should be rotated. I can rotate them myself but choose to take it to dealership. I have a Ryobi 18volt 1/2 impact that makes taking to lug nuts of easy . I also have a digital torque wrench I carry with me and digital air gauge . I just use the Jack that came with my truck also have a 20 ton jack .

    I am thinking it would be a good idea to go ahead and install centramatic at delivery. Thinking it might help maintain the factory balance. Would you agree? Thanks

    Please don’t beat me up too fast, I’m not a big truck guy but I own a one ton ram that I pull my fith wheel with. Over the three years I’ve loved it, went with the Cummins just because of the longevity of the engine. All my friends are Ford guys and think I’m nuts. With your experience why not the Cummins? Remember all I tow is a 40’ grand design solitude.

      Honestly I am a cummins and GM guy. My semi truck and all former pickups are powered by cummins. The only reason I bought a ford is because the legroom in the rear for the kids in carseats. Mopar does not offer anything close to this with 8’ bed. Had mopar made a Mega Cab with 8’ bed that is what I would have for sure.

    Great video!!! When I first start my 2020 F350 and my 2022 F350 they both have a pause when I put them in reverse. If I wait 10-20 sec it doesn't do it. Cheers!

    The 4 mpg difference to your F350 - do you have a guess how much of that would be related to dually vs not? Understood the gear ratio was significantly different. But didn't know if you had a guess how much could be attributed to DRWs.

    • @trucksandrecreation
      @trucksandrecreation  2 роки тому

      I suspect on the highway drw would matter quite a bit. But at low speeds I am not sure.

    Ford says yoy have to tow in tow haul mode! Is this correct?

    • @trucksandrecreation
      @trucksandrecreation  2 роки тому

      I have never heard that its required but they do recommend it. I do use tow haul when pulling out if loaded heavy, however the transmission works way harder in tow haul mode always shifting and hanging at high rpm.
