Thank you so very much. That was certainly one of the grandest videos I’ve ever seen regarding gardening. Lord bless you so much.

Yes, the Loderi type plant I got from you for the princely sum of £29 back in 2015, turned out to be a ponticum. Bit of a let down don't you think and just fobbed off by your staff, without even the offer of a refund.! Already have a million ponticum up over Bay Lough on the Knockmealdowns. On your valuation that makes me very rich!

Comment..One year later. I have a ton of Rodedendrons. I've never thought about collecting seeds. Year after year I haven't dead headed which would mean the seeds would have popped everywhere. I have never had one new plant grow. If it takes 8-10 years to grow a new plant from seed. How do you know its going to work. Is that germination time? or until it is a full grown plant?

This is not very useful advice. These rhododendrons will have been pollinated by bees and wont come true. Whatever grows nearby will the father... and the seed is pretty worthless. I strongly no not recommend growing seed like this. 20 years of waiting and likely disappointment. Much better to plant cutting raised or wild seed raised plants. Why would you want to collect Loderi seed (actually the plant does not look like Loderi so it may not be correct. ). If you want worthwhile seed. hand pollinate. The so called shweliense is nothing of the sort.. as this species is a tiny leaved lepidote rhododendron. All in all this video would be best removed from youtube.

Hi, I am trying to propagate a wild population of rhododendron maximum growing near my property. Can I do this by using cuttings or should I try to harvest seed? thanks
