I bought the gas powered one, Reconditioned at HomeDepot ($92) I knew its going to heavy, so I bought a universal strap for it, and it made it easier/lighter to carry around…all in all, I’m happy with my decision.

Oh wow, that is actually a great idea! My yard is so big that would definitely be something worth looking at, thanks for mentioning it! Great price too.

Been thinking of switching to the Ryobi gas trimmer. Great video. Just subbed

I have all the attachments you mentioned. They all work great. I barely use the hedge trimmer though not because of performance but because I don't like to disturb my neighbor when I cut the hedges near his window. He hasn't complained but I just went out and bought a battery powered hedge trimmer so that I can cut after work and it doesn't make much noise.

Just found about your channel so you’ve got yourself a new sub! To deal with the weight of the trimmer you want to actually have your right arm just hanging since it’s carrying most of the weight and let the left arm do all the moving. Usually this means moving the left hand handle closer to the trigger which can feel a bit weird at first but will really save your arms.
Also if you flip the trimmer upside down you can use it as an edger. It’s easier to line edge walking backwards when you’re first learning to do it

Great advice man! I will definitely put it to practice and take it to heart. Also, thank you for the sub! How did you come across my channel?

How is it holding up? I'm planning on buying used for the gas power + attachments.

Hi John, I was actually thinking of doing like a 2 year review. Unfortunately, I have not be able to purchase any attachments yet so I can not speak to that but that thing is a champ! I have had it over two years now and is still working great. Never have an issue starting it, one full tank is enough for my 1 acre, and my buddy (Dulin Cut and Trim) told me that the way it is made is to be used a full throttle. So I am usually pulling it anywhere from 75-100% power and it has not let me down yet!

Dude, just buy the premix 2 cycle gas in a can from Lowe’s or Home Depot. First of all, it’s so much easier and less messy. Second, and more importantly, it’s an Ethanol free mix, unlike what you get at a gas station, so it won’t clog up your carburetor or corrode your gas lines etc., and your gas trimmer will last much much longer.

That is great advice and makes so much sense! I will be on the lookout for that. Thank you for the comment!

Dont know specs but my 40v brushless spins faster than the 25cc 2 strokes. Not 18v or 40v brushed.

These things are meant to run full throttle, so don't hold back.

Yeah that’s the same thing my buddy who owns a landscaping business to me. I was thinking about doing a 2 year follow up video on it just sharing my experience but man, it’s still running like a champ 💪🏼👏🏼
