My mom actually got scammed recently by people who were claiming she missed a court date, and basically threatened that she'd go to prison if she didn't go to court even though she had no record of a court date. She ended up calling, and they didn't have any thing for a court date. Disgusting
@@PixelClip_DoesStuff Yeah, that's how I got my actual summons and all related correspondence in Australia. They like to have a paper trail, both for their records and your own, if you keep them.

@Scout_6214 so if it is important, then you will answer? Personally, I don't answer unknown numbers and if they really are important, they will leave a message, not just keep calling back. I get numbers on my cell where they leave messages that are not even to me or it gives some generic message that the call is important and to call them and they never even say my name. I had one that gave somebody's name they were trying to reach. When they called again, I answered and told them the person they are trying to reach doesn't have my number and to not call again. The person at the other end tried asking me if I wanted their services or product.
If you don't know the number, pick it up and just go with the flow. If they say you missed jury duty, like in the video, just say something like "I'm the judge."
