Landon Bailey I enjoy your style of presentation. I ordered one of these Superbeetles because of your recommendation. It arrived today. I’ve set it up, haven’t played through it yet. Just love looking at it. I have an AC30CC2X and a Vox Valvetronix AD60VT (modelling amp).I love those amps I’ve gigged with them and recorded with them. I’ll seperate with them when they bury me. But I just fell in love with thing and I haven’t even turned it on yet. Thanks for the vids.
Have one of these, as well as my AC15C1. I love the SuperBeetle for home use. Like you stated, it's plenty loud. I have it volume around the 12 o'clock and is clear and nice to play. Was so blown away by the little 10" and open back cab. Didn't expect too much. But was pretty blown away by how good this little thing sounds. Thanks for the share Landon.
Nice summary. I have to agree on all of it. Best purchase I made all year. I'm not much of a reverb or trem fan either, but both are addicting. With the reverb you can pretend you're Peter Green and with the trem you can be John Fogerty. All nice stuff.
Thx for this episode! 😄 Just a quick question - there is another Superbeetle out there with "Audio" in the name that can act as BT speaker. Is that an alternative, too? Cause I read about the the guitar through the Superbeetle Audio wouldn't sound that good.
Landon, check out thr Vox Mini Go amps. I have 2 of the 50 model. Great for playing at fiunctions. I velcroed a battery also. Amp has: models, looper, mictophone jack, rhythm selection, also good effects.l & sounds good.
🤣🤣🤣🤣🤣 "Yeah....I'm losing my mind.."....🤣🤣🤣😂😂😂 great video and tones!!!! Instant sub! I was sent here by Shane @InTheBlues in his video on this kick ass amp 🤘
I just bought one open box from Proadiostar via eBay for $339.00 with tax. Here's to hoping it pairs well with my Gretsch G2210 Streamliner Junior Jet Club I rescued from a pawn shop in Kalamazoo MI...don't forget a fuzz peal.
do you think I can use it to play on small restaurants? I am making a little setup for restaurants and small bars, I already have a boss s1 and this seem to have a very good size
I don't mean this as a hate comment, its just that this amp sounds like a recording of a radio compared to say a ac15c1 (I compared them back to back, and yes the 15 sounds way better!). The clean is decent, but doesn't have that same umph to it. But once you crank the gain it sounds no better than a pathfinder. Honestly this "new tube technology" may be a little bit better than what we had in the past, but it still is pretty trash. It's worth it to spend the extra for a ac15 or even 30. But if there is one solid state practice amp I can suggest it's defiantly a peavey bandit 112, I know that was random but who knows yah might like it as i do. :/
Hey thanks for the opinion! And ya tone is a personal taste. not sure if you’ve checked out other videos on my channel, I’ve covered the ac15 and peavey bandit in a number of videos, as well as the Pathfinder 10. They each have their purpose. As a practice amp though, I prefer the SuperBeetle over all of them. Take care!
@@landonbailey I see. It just reminds me of this amp I owned once. An old Guild. I loved that amp and I just loved the real spring reverb chamber it had. Unfortunately it was a bit too old. It actually electrocuted me a few times.

Lovin’ you sense of humor. That said the vintage look is bit weird. Not saying it need to glow blue like H&K SuperAmp 4000 but you know, it’s 2018. 19 almost.
Aaaaand it glows blue :D Yup that's better I agree but it still looks like a prop from an Austin Powers movie series. It's the Vox point of difference I get it. All good. :)
I played this in a guitar center in Michigan. I really like the tremolo on this amp. Do you know where you would place your tremolo in your signal chain to get a similar sound
I'm not really sure. Because it's built in, I'm assuming they have the reverb and trem setup as though there was an FX Loop. I'll see if I can find out. Maybe it's in the manual or on the official site.
Cool, Yea I really liked it in this amp and the amp played awsome! JHS did a great video recently on Fuzz and Tremolo. I never knew fuzz and tremolo went together so well. JHS Josh's playing inspired me with fuzz and tremolo together.
Play it through either two 2X12's (4 ohms) or two 1X12's (4 ohms). It's been more than loud enough for me. Just add a boost pedal for solos and you're set.
Hillarious, yet informative as always. Do you remember when Chandler and Ross showed up at the Geldman's for Thanksgiving and Monica was in a fat suit? Who gives a sh#t?! The amp sounds and looks awesome. I agree. But do you get the same organic connection that always seems unique to tube amps? Have never come across one in a shop to try it out. Thanks for the vid!

How did the blinding blue light not make your list? :) It really surprised me how good it sounds. And I have to say that in addition to what you listed, it plays pretty dang well at a low volume. Sometimes, my wife goes to bed before 9, which is about when I feel like playing during the week. Oh, and I know at least 3 guitar shops in my area no longer have one.
When you say low volume, do you think nighttime playing in an apartment would possible? I know it has a headphone out, but I get tired of wearing them with my Blackstar tube amp. The Blackstar is 10 watts so it's just a bit too loud without them. I wish the vox had an aux input for playing backing tracks. My local shop has one for $330 and I'm seriously thinking about grabbing it if it'll work out in my place.
@@81ghale I find that between the guitar volume, the amp volume and gain, I have a bit of room to adjust the level. It's not like some amps that go from barely audible to too loud.
