Perhaps you're struggling with burn-out. I've been wrestling with it too in the last few months. If it's of any help, know that you're not alone and don't feel at all ashamed to take some time to disconnect from the internet, criticism, and constant self-analysis. I know it can be challenging to disconnect from what we've essentially dedicated our lives to, but from my experience, it will help you re-ignite that passion that originally pushed you to climb to where you are today and succeed as much as you already have. Don't be afraid to step away for a time if you choose, because your fans aren't going anywhere. No one can ever take away everything you have already achieved here.
PhantomStrider I'm so glad you're supporting Mr. Enter. I watch all of your lists, Phantom ❤❤ Just like I watch all of Mr. Enter's animated atrocities and admirable animation
the korra review was important because nobody talks about the bad parts and im glad you took the time and effort to speak of it in a respectable yet honest way
K. Charrette tumblr likes it because they LOVE "Female protagonist", but thing is Korra was given a Tomboy Enviorment, making the "Female Empowerment" poontless
This is why I have a _huge_ problem with your haters. They complain about things you've stopped doing years ago, they pull random arguments out of their asses (when did you say that everything needs a moral?), they don't seem to _want_ to see you improve, they act like you talk about Teen Titans Go too much despite the reviews being months apart, they act like you'll attack anyone that bitches about you, and some other things. You're one of my favorite UA-cam reviewers of all time and a huge inspiration for me. You're the perfect example of someone who's overhated. It's really sad and frustrating that people are still doing this. I hope you take a good break and everyone will stop.
You can't deny that he brings up ttg whenever he talks about a reboot or a spinoff or something not as good as the original. He may not actually bring it up in fact, but he will show a clip of it. The way to solve this problem is to bring it up only at most 5 times ever in any other reviews. If it's done with, let that show as an example die. I mean, he went on against it when it was still fun to hate, and it's still generally fun to hate in this year. Not as much, but it's still there. Fads don't die easily.
The pulling random arguments out of their asses that you observed is called a Moving the Goalposts fallacy. When Enter's haters pull out the usual arguments only to have those debunked, they wind up saying shit like this (this is from a comment on Turkey Tom's frankly disgraceful 4 minute response to "we need to talk"): "It was his fault he got to this point. Had he learn from the past experiences, then maybe people won't see him as the becon of horrible cartoon reviewers. Now that doesn't mean I like all the responses made twords him as some and I mean some are bad people like Clay Claymore who can be mr enter retarded cousin who can't accept when he is wrong but Enter. PEOPLE ARE TELLING YOU TO STOP BEING THE LAW OF FUCKING CARTOONS! That is all people ask you for. Instead you just label all who oppose you as trolls. Granted some are trolls but you had to lump all the people who care for you to improve to that status. Ya Good luck dealing with this one." This an argument I've never heard from Enter haters before and is apparently referring to something fucking _buried_ in his DA journal entries somewhere that is of no relevance to his actual UA-cam content. And yet even after having the notion that he refused to learn from his mistakes or take criticism soundly debunked, the haters Move the Goalposts and come up with some other increasingly contrived reason why they can continue claiming he never learns from his mistakes. It's utter twaddle and I'm really pleased that Enter has decided not to stop work over the long-debunked garbage that comes streaming out of the mouths of people like Turkey and Mars. I just hope this video has been a sufficient psyche cleanse for him. I generally agree with the sentiment that the sheer amount of hatred Enter attracts is nothing short of insanity. Bottom feeders like Clay Claymore have compared him to Chris Chan, but I'm honestly not sure if even he was this hated. And most of it based on a supposed refusal to grow and learn when Enter has in truth learned from more mistakes in the five years he's been doing this than I've learned from in my entire life, to the point where I cite the journey of watching him grow and learn as being one of the best things about his channel. It's _ridiculous_ and, frankly, if the cartoon community _is_ unsalvageably toxic, I think it has more to do with people reacting with such absurd vitriol towards anyone being even the slightest bit serious about cartoons than it has to do with the reviewers themselves.
Sir Broadsword Maybe the real problem with the cartoon community is that it's not acting like one. Instead of ganging up on a youtuber why not reach out to them, get to know them in real life, and provide constructive criticism maybe even offering to help? Maybe you personally don't like a youtuber, okay. Do you really need to dedicate a video saying how they don't deserve the people who support them? Its just cowardly because these hater UA-cam channels basically criticize Enter to an audience that have the same sort of biases as them rather than actually talking to Mr. Enter. I hope that the hater UA-cam channels can focus less on hurting other people and try to do their own thing and be creative. It would make their conent and the cartoon community a better place too
furyberserk so what if he references TTG when talking about reboots. He makes valid point when he would compare a reboot to TTG such as what works or doesn't
Ever since I became your editor, I never knew it got this bad to the point where you had extreme anxiety. I do feel sorry for you, honest. If there's anything I can do to take the pain, I would. But all I can say is that you really have inspired me even during the darkest times in my life. I want to let you know that what you do on UA-cam isn't for nothing. Will there still be people shit talking you? Yeah. And being remember for your past mistakes must be the shittest feeling ever. I know this. Because I made mistakes too. We all do. I had moments where people reminds me of my past endeavors and it frustrates me. If there's any advice I could give you, all I can say is take a break once and while, maybe even from the internet as a whole to relieve all of this stress. Maybe writing or drawing in a notebook could help you relieve all that stress as well. At the end, I just want to let you know that I do understand.
Crimson, how did you let this get up without even an image?! (kidding, I know this video didn't even go through you, but with the comments on editing being mentioned the joke had to be made)
You can reach out to the person who you want to edit for (if you have someone in mind) or you can make some online ads or videos showcasing your editing skills. Maybe make a Twitter or Facebook page that advertises your work to spread the word about it.
Don't worry man. I'll still be here to give support. Every creative hits burnout but I feel as though many of your subscribers will be patient. I'd rather you be happy and take a break than be stressed. Thanks for the inspiration! Edit: Just want to say thank you all for top comment. CHECK OUT SHADOW STREAK. Both Enter and I agree he is one of the best small reviewers and deserves more subs. Edit 2: To say that Shadow is happy right now is a giant understatement.
@@missiontobeaman3111 Mostly because this was something he had to make quickly in order to help sort out this problem. You can tell in his voice that he was not okay.
I can't imagine how destroyed you must feel about the people you looked up to talking about you like that. As you say, that's how the internet works, but honestly, that's really fucking depressing. I'm completely okay with you taking a break, I'm just hoping that you won't quit UA-cam entirely. You, PhantomStrider, Joshscorcher, Alex Rochon, and Bobsheaux have been long term inspirations for me. I remember stumbling across your Shark Tale review for the first time. My family liked Shark Tale, but I didn't and I couldn't understand why. So when I watched you giving your general opinion on it, it was surprising and refreshing to see that I wasn't the only one (I also found it quite funny). But seeing you broken and anixety ridden now makes my heart ache. Go ahead and take a break, Mr Enter. When you want to come back, just know that we'll all be here to welcome you with open arms.
Well, shit. It seems I owe you a *_massive_* apology. I feel awful if my dismissive comment on your Korra review contributed to your reaching this point. Despite that difference of opinion, I still respect you greatly as a reviewer. There's a reason I kept following you long after you stopped MLP -- you know your stuff. Please take care of yourself.
I truly feel for you, my man. I used to be a moderator on a pretty massive forum and I had to serve as the "ambassador" in order to quell drama with other forums that hated us. I made a mistake and nearly everyone turned against me. The people on my forum, the people in the other forums, everyone. I wasn't allowed to express my stress or frustrations because "forum's don't matter". It got to the point where I freaked out and just left the community I helped build and was apart of for several years. Obviously, my solution of just leaving wont help you. Take a break if you need, your fans wont mind if you need to be away for however long it takes, as long as it makes you feel better. Your happiness is what's truly important.
there's always an argument on authority. i was a part of a community where it was kind of hostile like that too. finding a good balance between responsible and lax helps with acceptance i feel. and i had the problem of just being the former. caused some backlash for sure, but i found the balance eventually
Autism (if that's what you're referring to) isn't a disease, it's a mental disability. I know plenty of people on the spectrum who have it, and for those higher-functioning on the spectrum, it's more of a challenge that makes certain things like social skills harder than it for most. You aren't alone in this. Also, I am glad you made this video, it helps sometimes to vent out your frustrations constructively like that.
You perfectly explained why the UA-cam cartoon community talks about a relevant thing like The Emoji Movie and The Magic Schoolbus Rides Again. They do that because it's the only chance they have to be relevant, or else they will fade into obscurity.
Joaquin009 not just Pan but they are many other reviewers trying to be current. It will take too long to list so I'll just agree that many reviewers are trying to be relevant.
Joaquin009 I don't know why everyone's ripping on Pan but he literally stated he reviewed it because he accidentally contributed to making it a meme LONG ago, and people kept requesting he do it.
Mr Enter I think I speak for most of your fans when I say that you make great, thoughtful content. I listen to your videos while I pull all nighters for college and I am always excited when I get a notification of your videos. If you need time off, don't worry, we'll be here. Greetings from Peru
Andres Sotil sure I mean I don't always agree but I try to give as much respect. Might have gotten a little heated with the last one but I see where he came from
Carl Bloke So are you planning on repeatedly watching the cartoon that everyone is -throwing a tantrum- complaining about with the off chance it might improve? Because giving your attention to the thing hate is perfectly logical.
Phantom Strider pretty much hit the nail on the head. Anxiety, burn-out, depression and executive dysfunction are terrible things to feel and the best thing to do is take a break, take a look at how you're feeling physically and mentally, try doing things like watching a great cartoon, instead of watching news shows that focus on how the government is falling apart. Also my therapist said ignoring things just causes more anxiety and the best way to deal with problems like bullies or a negative mood is to learn how to solve them.
Genin99 ignoring is like throwing trash in the bin. It stock piles and sooner or later you have to take it out, otherwise it gets in your way. The more it fils, the harder it is to get rid of.
As a follower of yours for some time now, I was surprised when I started hearing all of the negative comments you'd been receiving as of late. People can be cruel sometimes, but as you said, that's the way the internet works. Take a break if you must, we understand; we aren't going anywhere. I'm sorry to hear that the user(s) you looked up to talked about you the way that they did, but you were clearly the bigger person here. Your words mean a lot to me, and I'm eternally grateful to hear those kind words from someone I look up to. I just wanted you to know that. If there's anything I can do, don't be afraid to reach out.
+Trixie Lulamoon Shadow's probably not going to mention, and for good reason. Naming names -- and consequently, allowing people to harass them -- is one of Mr. Enter's past mistakes that people keep criticizing him for. He would not want these names specified.
It's a fact of life that any moderately-popular Internet guy, _especially_ one who challenges fans' perception of things they like, is going to get a lot of flack. From Mr. Enter to Game Theory, this has proved to be a consistent problem. One day, after a generation or two has grown up understanding this and living through it, when this sort of production is given the same respect given to critics who publish in magazines and newspapers, maybe we'll have figured out a way to deal with this problem, the way we've dealt with other problems which crop up whenever a new mass medium arrives in a culture. Until that day, there's no good remedy. I respect anyone who tries to make this a living, or even a consistent hobby, because they go into this knowing the shitstorms that the Internet can create over the smallest thing, and they know that the only response is to stop doing it...yet they persist. I just wish they didn't have to.
+Timothy McLean To be fair, the main reason people don't like Game Theory is because the channel makes a lot of really dumb points and a lot of their videos are full of really poorly thought out theories.... But that's different from what's happening to Mr.Enter. Game Theory kind-of deserves the hate it gets. Mr.Enter really doesn't... people just hate Mr.Enter because he's just able to make content consistently and he's able to get views from doing so many videos. And that scares people who can't do that or that isn't able to get views doing it because it irritates them when a setup this simple can work while their works, that they view as superior, doesn't give them as much success. At least, that's what I think.
he's popular and his opinion is full of educated, reasonable points. The people trashing him would trash anyone who dared to be openly critical of shows they blindly love.
What about when Nostalgia Critic makes videos that certain viewers don't like and when select fans express their distaste? Rabid fans jump on them like vultures to a corpse like you can't say anything bad towards Doug Walker
Thomasmemoryscentral because he to is popular and when that happens you get two reactions 1. You are Satan and always wrong and 2. You are Jesus and can do no wrong. Until you have an unpopular opinion then you're Satan.
I honestly, actually rolled my eyes when the 'taking things too seriously' criticism came up. Edit: When are people gonna realize this medium DESERVES GO TO BE TAKEN SERIOUSLY!
Your videos are way more in depth and thoughtful than MarsReviews or any of your detractors. Also, you don't use words like "faggot" to describe things you don't like. Plus, you don't have to defend yourself. If you were a star athlete, people would say that you could "let your playing do the talking". I say take a break, and see how you feel. If you don't want to review anymore, I'll certainly understand (especially as someone who has struggled with mental illness in the past). Your well being and personal happiness should come first.
Everyone has times like this. It's fine. Relax. Take your time. We aren't demanding. And if some of us are, then ignore them. We understand when you're not ready to make reviews.
it strikes me as perfectly strange that there is contention about enter. I've watched about every vid, aside from the admirable animations which I save for when I need a pick-me-up and frankly? This is probably the most inoffensive channel I'm subbed to. I just don't understand it.
The Korra video was good. You stated good points, nothing else needs to be said. Korra had issues and the issues need to be addressed, especially with a show that too many people said was perfect for whatever reason.
Korra also left a lot of people in between a rock and a hard place after S1. Fans stayed through S2 hoping it would get a little better, which it eventually did, but people who stopped at S1 now have to be told "yeah all of S2 isn't very good either but is required to view S3 and 4 which are actually decent 7 or 8/10 eps"
You sound butt hurt. Who cares if he messed up on the Ozai part, lol. The point in the video was that lightning bending lost it's power and allure because the writers were trying to do power creep. You also seemed to lose your point because people like you whine about stupid points like this. How about you actually dissect his video and describe WHY the points were bad. All you're doing is complaining that "it's good enough" with the Courier six comment to my comment which sounds like you're just nitpicking. At least his points go along the core of the Legend of Korra and explains why is fundamentally sucks. You're just complaining he missed a spot that ultimately doesn't disprove his argument and makes you sound whiny.
I. Th. Ummm no he didn't make a mistake the current fire Lord (Zuko) can't lightning bend and if you rewatch the video you can tell he was talking about zuko
Having been one of those detractors once myself (Seth MacFarlane's Calvacade of Cartoon Comedy) I will even say, yeah... people do like to go above and beyond with their distaste for you, (I've also covered some of those people myself too) -- Do what you need to do to clear your head, may be better for you in the long run. Hope you feel better though.
> Sees a comment from someone you don't like on a video talking about how holding past mistakes over ones head can be stressful > Asks that I CAN'T be the only one that sees the irony in that? Tell me that was the point.
I just want to say, while I haven't watched all, I like watching your commentaries. I think you do well and bring up good point without trying to actually attack others. I hope things go well... Sorry if I sound too much like a sap.
I feel you on so many levels Enter. And tho we may not see eye to eye on many areas, i've always respected your opinions and critiques on certain shows that I like or dislike. You have always presented me with another viewpoint of series that I would have never thought. Especially recently with your Korra review, which I must admit did change the way I look at the first season. I personally still enjoy it but it was great to see another person's perspectives on it. It was eye-opening and I feel foolish as someone who considers themselves to be in the same field as you that I did not see these glaring issues before. I guess my love of Avatar blinded me to the problems. Hindsights always 20/20. If you need to take a break, go for it. I have done the same thing for similar reasons as well and theres nothing wrong with that. I respect your honesty about the shit you've been dealing with and I hope things resolve themselves real soon and you can get back to doing what you've love to do:make solid analysis videos of animated shows. I'll always have your back Mr. Enter, you were an inspiration to me. Much love brother
BlackCriticGuy I agree I'm not a UA-camr but I have a job and I know how stressful and hard you work to get shit and I get it so take a break and think about some stuff.
I've seen some of those "I Hate Enter" videos and, honestly, they're really not worth giving a shit about. It's not the hate or "critiques," but the pretentiousness of it all, just how up-their-own-asses they are about it. I may not be an internet reviewer, but I know from commenting and Facebook that this is pretty much a lose/lose situation; if you respond to it, you give them the satisfaction, but if you ignore it, it'll keep building until it becomes impossible to handle. It's scary to think that on the internet, people practically have the right to bully you because "free speech" and if you object you'll be seen as being "overly defensive" or something like that. I really admire the way you've handled it throughout the years. I can tell just from watching your reviews, especially your recent ones, that you put a lot of effort and hard work into making them. You really don't deserve all the negativity you get, despite your mistakes. I've gotten so much more out of your content than I thought and I feel more insightful because of it and I'm sure a lot of other people do to. Best of luck to you, Mr. Enter.
Please don't delete this video, or, at least make it a separate, in-depth discussion video. I feel as though the points you made in this video are very important. Well... to me anyways. Take your time, please.
Mr. Enter as a subscriber of 3 or 4 years now, I am so sorry that you're feeling this way. Your reviews (along with the works of others here on youtube) got me through the worst of middle school, highschool, and even the passing of my grandmother. They made me smile and think and analyze the media i was watching. Your hard work has helped me become who I am today. You deserve to not only take a break and breathe for as long as you need but to continue to make videos expressing how you feel whenever you need to. No one should bottle themselves up like this and remember that there are so many people here for you when you need to talk.
My biggest problem with the internet because I have autism (I know Enter does too) is that people treat having autism like being retarded and insult autism all the time. It's like I'm being made fun of for something I never did.
Nachover 9000 that gets on my nerves as well, and I watch you tubers with communities like that. We(autistic people) aren't retarded. Since proves that at the end of the day,we're smarter than all of them combined.
Rejector71 Autism is a development in the brain that can affect how a person functions or ability to communicate in comparison of the average person. What type and how autism affects a person can differ though to the point one may not notice or notice until they see a pattern in their actions and/or reactions.
And me and MrEnter here land on the higher-functioning end of the spectrum, having Asperger's or what is now known as ASD, and before you race to your keyboards with the intent of harm, I was legit diagnosed at an early age.
Nachover 9000 That's because there are many retarded people trying to excuse their dumb behavior with "I'm autistic", even if they don't really have any diagnosed form of autism and are just self-diagnosing. They also use other bullshit excuses such as "I have depression" and "I am suicidal", therefore making people see these things as what these asstwats pass them off as: Excuses for retarded people who do dumb shit that pisses everyone off and don't want to take criticism or even responsibility for it afterwards.
Rejector71 From my perspective as a autistic person myself;like to be myself, do certain things in order, when doing a task, I have a one track mind set on completing said task, very sensitive, and very smart. I have trouble explaining everything so, I just show people what I mean. I love my life and small things in it. Autism,Asthma, and all. Sorry if this isn't much of an answer for you.
This is important, breaks from internet can be very good for people. Just, some great, relaxing cooling time. Take an internet break and just relax in what ways you may enjoy
You probablly may never read this, but, if you need to get away for a while, Do it, we won't go anywhere. Plus neither you or any cartoon reviwer deserves to go what you are going trougth
I agree, it feels like mr enter is overhated and people criticized him so much, he has no room to improve. I'm not a fan but he needs to keep on making videos, because someone might like his content.
Hit that point in my job recently. Im a mechanic, or well, I am a lube technician. I have two coworkers that constantly get on my case for always being too slow or not good enough. Just over a year now, I finally just said "Fuck it. If what Im doing isn't enough then Im done." Got a different job and am moving on in two weeks. Suddenly they are treating me with some degree of respect. funny how that works. Anyways. I can understand the whole thing of "Constantly trying to improve, always getting the same complaint = no incentive for improvement." It is not a fun feeling. Burn-Out is the best way to describe it and it just destroys your creativity. when you throw anxiety in to the mix and you start questioning weather or not you are a good person. Here's the thing; just the mere fact that you admited to a mistake and actively tried to fix it and make ammends makes you better then a lot of other people out there. Some will never admit their mistakes let alone attempt to get them corrected.
Mr. Enter, I am very sad you have to deal with this shit. I highly empathize with your position. This toxicity is just a reminder of how fragile humanity is. We can easily forget that.
As someone with anxiety and prone to depression, I totally understand how you're feeling about this. I don't think I could do what you do for fear of being completely hated.
This is why I kinda wanna distance myself from the Cartoon Community on UA-cam, because of how toxic it can be not just with commenters, but creators too.
I got to admit Mr. Enter, I originally came here for your MLP work, and I, personally, immensely love your G3(.5) work I keep looking for other G3 reviews but... yours are tops. I remember when you started Animated Atrocities and Admirable animation, they were a bit out there but... I respected them. I love to learn, I value your opinion, yeah you mess up from time to time but, who doesn't. Everyone has to start somewhere. It takes alot to bite your tongue and bide your time, but bottling up emotions and burying them never solves a problem, imagine it like a wound, instead of letting it breathe and draining the infection out, you cover it up, you let the infection sink in, consume you, until it turns to gangrene or worse. Your mental health can work the same way. Granted you are absolutely right, what you do and say online will follow you, some will use it for fodder, you just need a better outlet, as much as I enjoy your work, you got to put yourself first, maybe take a break for a few months, try working on another video game, you said that's what you want to do, you shouldn't sacrifice your hobbies for your work, keep piddling with it. I come here for you Mr. Enter, I enjoy your videos, I may not agree with all your opinions but, that's fine if we were all alike but I am not going to drag it out, or comment, I mean if I think I have a strong enough argument I might make a post explaining my position and why I see it what way, but that's all it is, my position, my opinion, it isn't an attack on you. You have shown me cartoons I would never even bother looking at because they made one of your lists, I think you just need a breather, to calm down, collect yourself, indulge, and come back, we will be here for you, and most of the comment section looks like they are behind you too.
Same, autism and anxiety which join together to create depression. It's rough to deal with, and no one ever wants to listen and help you through those things unless it's their job to (counselor, therapist, ect.) it's annoying.
My friend from work has Asburgers and anxiety. She feels like people hate her a lot. I personally have felt the same way. Whenever I feel like people want me dead, I think of her and some people from work and my family. They remind me I am loved, they remind me I am a good person. My advise to everyone struggling, remember there are people who care. Use the fact they love you to fight the hatred inside.
+GamingWithSteve I hope I don't come off as rude by saying this but it's spelled aspergers. A lot of people joke by calling it 'assburgers' which your spelling was very close to.. I just wanted to tell you this because it would be a shame for someone to mistake your sincerity for cruelty, and again I hope I don't come off as rude because I'm not trying to be. ^^"
You don't owe us anything. If you need to take a break, take a break. Don't push yourself to make content if your heart or body isn't in it. Doing that to yourself isn't healthy, and it'll end up hurting you. You've put up with some serious bullshit from both sides of the internet and have come out strong. You've taken abuse from some of the biggest corporations in the world and refuse to back down. If anyone deserves a good long rest, it's you, John. I hope you feel better soon.
I'm sorry that had happened Mr. Enter... I can relate to you because I had burnout drawing so much, forgetting about family and reality. I felt like nothing when I was drawing sometimes, because I wasn't really doing anything important or great. I took a break to spend time with family and do Catholics to improve myself and my health. My burnout is still clinging on me, but I have great people like you to make me relate and fix my mistakes and improve my behavior. Good luck, man.
Never forget the "Loud minority" thing. For every guy that says that you should stop there must be 10 guys like me that, although we don't comment on your videos, we're glad to see them. Just remember that we will always support you. Have a nice break man. You deserve it
I don't follow any of the cartoon review community on youtube and only found your channel by chance, so I really have no clue what is going on. But you do what you need to do to stay sane. Good luck with your books/animations/whatever you want to do. We will be here if/when you decide to come back.
You are one of my favorite youtuber. You are honest and not at all afraid to voice your opinion. I really love the harsh comments and so on. Always makes me laugh. You are doing a great job! But, you can't forget to take care of yourself aswell. So please Mr. Enter. Take care of yourself! Come back stronger.
The people who decides to talk negative about you on youtube usually has 1/10 the amount of subscribers you do, though. There's a reason to why so many people admires you and counts almost everything you say as a fact: You take cartoons seriously and never hide your opinions from people. You consider cartoons "art" and entertainment for every age group, while the majority of people just dismisses it as "kid's entertainment adults shouldn't care about anyways". I've never seen someone expect so much from cartoons, to the point where they're getting angry for the lack of effort put into a show. You always explain why something is bad, and even though not everyone agrees with your opinion, they're able to understand your opinion. At least, that's why I became such a huge fan of your work.
^ this so much. in the end, the people hating on enter are just a speck of dust in comparison to everyone else who enjoy his content. and really, his views on animation in general are very well constructed. some youtubers just get angry because they expect false happiness from him, or because his views are the opposite of theirs (and both reasons are very, very stupid. i hope this is something that doesn't need explanation...)
People saying that "It's just a cartoon, don't take it seriously" better also be against movie, cooking and music critics too. "Oh, shut up, it's just a movie!" "Oh, shut up, it's just food!" "Oh, shut up, it's just noises!" Animation is a form of art, people downplaying it as something that shouldn't be taken seriously pisses me off and makes them look like snowflakes that can't stand criticism. But I think people say that "Uh, just don't take it seriously" because they have no better argument. Again, they better be against Nostalgia Critic or YMS because they take movies seriously.
Yes, you SHOULDN'T take things so seriously, because too much of ANYTHING is a bad thing, including art. This is the reason people look at others like you and Mr. Enter and say "Wow, they need to grow up." The most likely reality is: You guys do. Badly. Because yes, it IS just a cartoon, and that's the reality of it. You and Mr. Enter should stop being such babies.
I guess Chris Stuckmann, I Hate Everything, ralphthemoviemaker, Red Letter Media and YMS and other movie critics need to stop taking movies so seriously and grow up. Who cares about 50 Shades of Grey or Transformers or awful remakes and mockbusters, they're just movies and stuff, shut up about it.
DeepEye1994 Exactly, even though your message was obvious sarcasm. You can not like something and not put your emotion towards it. You can be passionate about art all you want, but on the other side, all of the things you hate have a different side to it where people thoroughly enjoy them. You guys gotta realize that certain things weren't made for you people. The Emoji Movie was not made for you. 50 Shades of Grey wasn't made for you. And that's perfectly fine. I actually love watching Ralphthemoviemaker, but it doesn't mean I agree with everything he says. I watch him for entertainment, and that's it. Animation's art, and art's subjective. One of the problems with this entire thing is how sensitive some of you people are to a MOVIE. It's a MOVIE, not a death sentence. The movie is only as harmful and terrible as you make it out to be. It isn't anyone else's fault but your own. Blame yourselves, not the creators.
Mr. Enter, you're one of the most inspirational critics I've ever seen. And it seems like that in the face of the most adversity from online. I feel like I've become a better person from your work, and even any mistakes you've made have taught me how to be better. You're entertaining, funny, insightful, and as I said before inspirational. If there's anyone I've learned the most from, aside from maybe Nostalgia Critic and AniMat, it's you. Thank you, and enjoy your time off.
Mr. Moran I'm one of those who can have a hard letting go on someone who did a stupid topic or something horrible to someone else so I can understand how the internet can make you have more stress and anxiety about said topics
Mr. Enter, I like you. I know you're not perfect, but you're funny and informative, and it's always a pleasure to watch you in your videos. I understand extreme emotions: I have autism myself and I'm surprised by how hot I can burn. You know, and you're improving. And you don't have to worry about me leaving you any time soon.
Dude KidPix was the shit in elementary school. I could legitimately spend an entire day playing that game painting with every single brush, erasing it with the TNT button, and repeating.
I go to a lot of different cartoon reviewers and analysts for many different things. The thing I always come to you for is specifically BECAUSE you take things too seriously, for the exact reasons you said. Every time I hear someone harp on you I lose a little respect for them, because they of all people should understand that everyone gets something out of everything they watch and it isn't always the same thing you do. They may see a different angle to look at it that you never even considered and that kind of thing is fascinating to me, which is why I take the things you and others say about the things I love and am familiar with into account when I work on my own stories. Anyone can tell a story, but it takes a lot of care to make sure it's the story you actually want to tell. Take a break from the internet, Mr. Enter. This place can poison your brain the same way watching the same bad cartoon can if you never take the time to experience something else. I've always wanted to actually talk to you so if you're ever bored enough to take a random commenter up on it let me know. :) P.S. Screw the cartoon community, you'll make your own cartoon community! With blackjack! And hookers!
You are one of my favorite cartoon reviewers on UA-cam. I'm so sorry to hear about all the shit you've had to take. If you need a break, take as long as you need. Your mental health is WAY more important than getting more videos out.
Damn, I just want to give you a big hug. I've wrote like 4 sentences on forums or UA-cam comments that created a flame war villainizing me; however, I am able to ignore them because it's only at most 5 hours. It's been months if not years on you. Take a break, and maybe get some therapy it has help me a lot, so it's not meant as an insult.
@~19 minutes, an episode of Ren and Stimpy really showcased this. "Stimpy's Cartoon". In that episode, Stimpy, as you would guess, wants to make a cartoon. He's drawing up simple storyboards and doing some writing, Ren comes in and wants to contribute despite lacking any discernible talent. Stimpy then tells him that he can be a producer. Gradually, Ren takes over Stimpy's cartoon completely, taking out entire plot-lines, removing parts of his story board and putting in things, and making Stimpy work constantly. Ren completely destroys Stimpy's cartoon by taking control of a product that he doesn't understand while Stimpy gets no say in the direction of his own creation. It's actually a really good episode.
I know what your feeling. I really do. It's a hard road to get out of a state of mind where anything you do will be watched by someone, someone that maybe toxic as fuck, or that your making constant mistakes and that people are seeing the ones your not, even if there are none. We all have our pasts, things we're ashamed of, things we want to hide, and yes I too have been in the place where I've lost friends do to false information. I'm honestly inspired over the fact that you've managed to accept that it's part of you and move on. this actual video in itself has ironically (?) calmed my anxieties because this isn't and isolated case, and we can be strong together, in time
I really understand what you're saying man, I truly get it. Sometimes it gets beyond overwhelming and the stress of the job, any job, gets to you. I want to let you know though that there are people who sincerely enjoy your stuff. I very much enjoyed you Legend of Korra video to the point I shared it to one of my buddies who enjoys Avatar so we both could learn something about writing. Thanks for everything, and even though it's bee three months since this video came out, take all the time you need. Have a happy new year and may the road be a little less filled with junk in 2018.
Everyone goes through that sort of thing every now and again and you are one of my favorite reviewers and I don't give a shit what anybody else says about you on the internet you are a nice and relatable dude I love your point of views on animated atrocities and admirable animation
As someone who's been watching since the earliest MLP reviews, I hope you can take a break and ignore these rage-driven children. When people think they're right about something, they can become vicious in defending their own opinion, no matter how detrimental it is. I'd go as far to say people who dislike you as a person for whatever reason will create reasons to "criticize" your content. Your content has been some of my favorite for the past four years, and I hope you know there are tons of others like me who have enjoyed and been entertained by your content for years. Do whatever you need to stay happy and avoid the bandwagon, mob-mentality hate against you. It's fucked up and you don't deserve any of the hate. Thanks again for four years of videos that I got excited to see in my subscription box. Out of hundreds of creators I've been subscribed to, you've always been one of my absolute favorites.
You are *FAR* from being "the problem with the cartoon community." Like, the "beauty" of free speech is that people can spout all the hate they want, they are only bringing _themselves_ down, *NOT* you. It's not just about ignoring these haters (haters being people that provide "criticism" that is not constructive whatsoever), it's having that mentality and integrity to persevere. You just learn to roll your eyes and move on. And if people you admire and look up to are like one of these haters spouting unjust crap about you, don't follow these people anymore; they don't deserve your viewership. It would be as bad as pursuing a former significant other that has cheated on you *AND* is still with the person they had an affair with; they are the scum of your world and shouldn't have to do anything to do with you. So listen John Enter, you may not have all the flashy editing and products, but that doesn't stop you from doing this. You have *HEART.* You really put a lot of work into your material. You have an audience; you are loved. Never forget that. Maybe do a podcast, like doing live, candid commentaries. Saberspark and RebelTaxi/Pan Pizza are some good examples because they take time and effort or (in the least) have fun with what they do. You shouldn't trap yourself in a corner if it makes you uncomfortable. Scout With Fly made a recent video that he felt kinda cornered by doing only content and commentary only on animation, but he wants to expand and that's what he'll do. You shouldn't force yourself to appeal to people. Like there's an extent to which you should bend yourself backwards to satisfy someone (or an audience), because you eventually start losing yourself; you kinda become a product of someone you are not. If people can't handle the real you, then screw them. *_Before you love others, you gotta love yourself._* Even _I_ struggle to follow those words. Never falter. I hope you read this and it brings SOME light to this situation.
Honestly I think that these haters that this point are worse than anyone who defends Mr. Enter. They'll bring up some point that he made in an older video and twist it around just to spread false information about him or use it to stereotype him. They complain about his stuff and even resort to making up lies of him using mental illness as an excuse to justify his behavior. Yet we have people out there that use illnesses to insult others for having an opinion. I don't care if I get backlash for even saying this, but these haters can go fuck off and go to hell.
You need a friend who wont JUST talk to you about how you're MrEnter and will give you actual good advice and will support you. Honestly, it's a shame UA-cam, and any medium that puts a spotlight on people, creates such a narutal disconect between fans and creators. Most comments will never get seen because it's impossible to look through 3 thousand opinions. But regardless, I really feel for you. This industry is tough, no less for someone who does something as innocent as watching cartoons. If there is any way that I can help or support you, I would take it. You put a lot of effort into your work and it sucks that you only feel punished for it. Remember, there are people who support you out here.
Hey MrEnter, I know you're probably not going to see this since I'm a tad late on watching the vid, but I really really like how genuine you are with your emotions and mental illness. I have mental illnesses and it sucks. The fact that you are advocating for yourself and bringing awareness to it, honestly makes me appreciate you and your content 1000x more. Truly, all the hate you get is unjustified. I just don't get it. Keep up the good work, take a break when you need it, and don't forget to keep your chin up.
The sad thing is, I saw this coming. I've seen the amounts of hate spewed towards you, and at this point I think a lot of people are just hopping on the hate bandwagon right now because that's the "cool" thing to do. MarsReviews rant video particularly irked me because he pointed out a bunch of things from Enter's past to criticize him while also accusing him of stealing Pan Pizza's video ideas, and he came off as a real asshole about it. But apparently it's "OK" because he was just "critiquing" Mr. Enter. Nevermind the fact the critique came with several putdowns and insults towards him..... And his mindless followers are just taking everything he said as fact and going onto Enter's channel to spew the exact same things Mars said. Look, Mr. Enter isn't perfect. He has flaws like everyone else. But I don't think he deserves THIS much hate. I mean, people seem so devoted to hating Mr. Enter that I wonder if it's become an obsession for them. Either way Enter, I hope you get better. You need a well deserved break. And keep working on that cartoon! :)
Reckno64 and sadly even anim8ball seems to be a jackass for this as well as he's pretty much dedicated to refuting Enter like in his sorry wrong ed review
Carl Bloke I noticed anim8ball seems to be a more respectable guy when it comes to criticizing Enter (I mean, he's not mindlessly bashing him like most haters). But I wonder if he acknowledges all the hate Enter gets, and if he does is he okay with it? It bugs me that anyone would be okay with one guy getting this much hate and I feel anim8ball is being passive about it, which ticks me off a bit.
I have seen you at your worst and I stuck by you. I have watched you grow and improve and it is because of you that I'm amounting capital to make my youtube channel a channel about story telling across all media. Without you, I wouldn't have been able to look at the different parts of stories and how to differentiate good from bad simply because I grew up in a house where my family was never afforded the luxury to pick apart stories when they were younger and as a result, I was told if you l like it, it's good. I have you to thank for helping me study film and such in a way that I can explain my reasons for liking something or for hating it. You helped through good times and bad and showed me a world I would never have seen and I just want to help you through this trying time. Originally I wanted to be a director but now I want to tell stories regardless of position because you showed me how. Thank you and Godspeed.
Mr. Enter, I Respect You. Take A Rest If You Need To. Just Remember. When You Come Back, We'll Be Waiting, With Open Arms, And An Appreciation Of Your Work. Move Forward Matey, Move Forward.
I don't know if you write like that because you don't know better or by choice. If you do it by choice, pleeeeease stop, unless you have some serious reason why this helps you. Okay, now, if you don't know, the thing about UPPERCASE LETTERS is that they are used sparingly. The main thing you need to remember is that the first letter of each sentence, the first letter after a dot ( . ), is always uppercase, while everithing else is lowercase. The foremost outliers are names, as in: John Smith, and the word I (always an uppercase i). Have a nice day!
He has mentioned many times. When your funding is ad money you can't afford rests. He made videos when he had cysts in his freaking testicles because he had no job security. He can make a fundraiser, but then he will be "The guy who fundraised for a vacation". Which will probably make him more critisized, depressed, need more vacation and more money which will lead to a feedback loop.
I Type The Way I Type On Purpose For A Reason. And The Reason Is To Piss You Off. But really, I find too many lower cases boring. Upper Case Letters Are More Exciting!
i hope youre alright, please take it easy and be safe! you dont deserve to deal with people's bullshit and you're a wonderful person, you deserve to do your job without people getting pissed about YOUR opinions, when your opinions arent even hurting anyone, i know it must be so horrible to get shat on constantly, take a break for as long as you need and honestly i personally wouldn't be angry if you didn't come back for your own mental health, i know i'm just a random person subscribed to you whose comment may not mean a lot, i just wanted to let you know i hope you're ok and that you take care of yourself and your mental health
I respect you so much Mr Enter. Your videos have inspired me so so much in the cartoon reviewing community. I'm sorry to here you have anxiety, but know that we're here for you. Do whatever you want, we'll be here for you. And hell to whoever critisized you so wrongly and so much to have brought you to this point. I love your videos so much; I was your 250 000th subscriber! (Although I watchedyour videos since you 130 000s) Ergo, I hope you get better and don't let hate get to you man.
Enter, I feel so horrible that you have to go through events like this, especially since a lot of vids that I've seen in the animation community have been targeting you for things you haven't done for years! Listen, your one of my favorite animation critic's on this entire toxic website and one of the few that helped me to realize good or awful shows and episodes that that I grew up with and have made me rethink my absolute favorite shows. All I'm saying is, especially after you reviewed the atrocity known as THE EMOJI MOVIE!, you definitely need to take a break after all the trash you've had to put up with through this past oncoming year. No-ones rushing you, take a breather, go see the world if you have too... your just as important as any other critic on this site whether you know it or not, whether these snot-nosed critics who scold you for some minut thing that doesn't even matter in the grand scheme of things. I hope this statement was helpful enough, and I hope you grow to ever greater heights in the future, and I will be proud to stand there with you. See you soon my friend.. I look forward to your next project in the future!
Mr. Enter, I've been following you for a four years now. Despite what some people think, you are a very balanced reviewer. You take the time to analyze a product, and are willing to discuss both pro's and con's. You've always meant well, and have done the best you can to put out something worthwhile. A while back, I had copyright troubles on my personal professional channel, and I had no one to turn to. I wasn't a chosen one in our media class, and I was desperate. Because of you, I was able to take care of the issues and get my portfolio up in time for the interview. I've never gotten the chance to truly thank you for that. You are a huge inspiration to a lot of us. I'm a little late to the comment section here, but just looking at all of the people who are commenting, who have been touched by you. I hope you understand just how important you are to us. Your touch on the cartoon community is unmeasurable. You've help us to talk about different things, and give opinions that aren't always popular, but have a clear purpose behind them. You've really moved us forward. There are a lot of people who have said nasty stuff about you, and it's not really deserved. There was that one time you made the name mistake, but that wasn't out of maliciousness, but of not knowing what effect it would have when given to the internet. You not only made a public video apologizing, but you intervened and told those harassing the person to stop. You are a good person, and if anything, just know that you hold a lot of respect with many of us in the community. It takes a big person to do something like that. I hope your able to take a break, I hope all of your medical issues get resolved, and I hope you can be happy and have great creative days. There's nothing I wish more for you than to be happy and have a good time with whatever you do. I'd love to help you produce something someday. If you choose to take some time off, the lot of us will be waiting here for you to return! Thanks for everything you do!
Mr enter, you were the youtuber who showed me this whole world of cartoon reviews that I love so much! Don't be so hard on yourself, you are great and many many people like you a lot!
I have gotten so tired of everyone ganging up on specific youtubers. The worst thing about it is it usually starts as legitimate criticism, but then every Tom, Dick, and Buttmunch decides that this is means that youtuber is terrible and doesn't deserve any of the recognition they have been getting, actively trying to sabotage their success. Thus drowning out legitimate criticism. For example examples, Matpat, The Game Theorists was getting repetitive and was focusing less on science and to heavily on lore theories (Their where some other issues but these was one of the major ones), some people pointed it out, so Matpat righted the ship (Pretty quickly at that), however everyone is still talking shit about him, as if nothing has changed.
"For example examples, Matpat, The Game Theorists was getting repetitive and was focusing less on science and to heavily on lore theories (Their where some other issues but these was one of the major ones), some people pointed it out, so Matpat righted the ship (Pretty quickly at that), however everyone is still talking shit about him, as if nothing has changed." Matpat gets disliked because he skimps out on researching(his For honor video was one of the most hilariously unresearched things I've ever witnessed)- and he still does skimp. He also reacts to most constructive criticism by just calling people haters. I'm not saying that your first paragraph isn't correct, but MatPat is a bad example.
Bösil sorry but it sounds you don't know shit about metpat. He still is a great reviewer and still makes great content. He has improved on his mistakes
I've only been subbed to you for about a month or so, but in that time-span I've binge-watched a good 75-90% of your vids. Your commentary is leveled and fair and you've introduced me to some shows that I would have never given a chance (I've also bingewatched bojack in the last month lol). All of this to say, please keep your chin up man. I KNOW it's much easier said than done, and you miiiight not see this, but your videos have much more than a lot of other cartoon channels have to offer. Can't put my finger on what exactly, but I haven't watched NEARLY as many of anyone else's vids in the "community".
(While I may mention a few videos I've made, know that I'm only using them for examples.) You, Mr. Enter, have been an inspiration to me for years - I've been watching your channel since your 10 Least Favorite MLP Episodes video. I've even bought your book. When I was regularly making videos (at around 650 subs,) I've been called "another Mr. Enter clone" more times than I cared to count. But, until a while back, I kept doing it because I enjoyed it. In 2015, I made a video called "My UA-cam Heroes." As you can see, this was before UA-cam made their own Heroes video, which, let's be honest, wasn't their brightest move. I had to mention you, though I did mention that you were getting really negative at the time. It's been two years. Your retrospective of Cartoon Network became one of the best videos I've seen in a long time, and this is evident of how you have evolved, or have shown it. I believe you've become a better UA-camr than I can dream to be. As for your mistakes? Yeah, I've seen them. You've shown us yours, I'll show you mine. I once did a review of a Sailor Moon episode where it just felt wrong. I compared the death of the monster within to a sexual assault. The victim (in this case, the monster) fights off the aggressor (her master,) as the latter tries to penetrate her with a "dream mirror." To complete the visuals, the monster's head flower blooms upon it happening. I made the video because I just felt dirty about it and wanted to share it. Looking back at it, I don't think that was entirely the right thing to do, and if it was, I felt like I handled it really, really poorly. That one video, that's still up now, is one I consider to be a mistake. I'm not afraid to show it, though. While I'm not an animator of any kind, I have been studying screenwriting, my personal passion. I hope to make it into the business one day. I keep working at it because I can't stop. I don't know how to. But even I know I need to take breaks. So, if you need to, Mr. Enter, take a break. Just know your fans, your supporters, we will be right behind you.
As a longtime fan I seriously think you need to take a break. Your older videos are not going anywhere and I along with your many other viewers can view them anytime. Take a vacation and chill because as far as I'm concerned you deserve it.
I really felt that last part of your speech. You're not alone in people dragging you down and sometimes the rest of us need someone to stand up and say "this is not ok". Thank you
Believe or not, I think you just helped me. When you were talking about how people didn't think your cartoon's premise had believability, but you stood by it and brought up all the odd concepts that made it onto TV. I'm glad you mentioned this. I wish there was some way I could help you in return.
As someone who is also on the Autism spectrum, I do look up to you as an inspiration because you are not afraid to share your opinion, and you have done what you consider to be your best. I respect that. Take a well-deserved break. Let those creative juices take some time to re-fill, and let yourself get into the world outside of your job right now until you feel ready to go back. Stay safe, Mr. Enter.
Tbh, I disagree with a ton of your opinions. But I respect them because you actually take time to come up with them. You're not some guy that says Sonic is bad because IGN said so. You put passion in your vids. I can understand burnout. Feel better soon, my dude
I just like to go on record in saying I absolutely love your work! I'm a big fan of anything animated so coming across your channel has been a real treat. When someone has this much passion in what they love, it's beautiful no matter what the content. Every time I get an a notification, I can't wait to see what sort of thing you have to rant about! Granted, being a critic, there is always the backlash of hate. It absolutely sucks when people take things to the level they do. Then again a lot of people don't even realize how faceless each comment is. How disconnected to the effects our words really have. Even worse, some actually get enjoyment out of being a jerk. No matter what they say, do even half of the haters even have the guts so say any of their slander to your face? Probably not, because this is the internet! I could leave a scathing comment on how your wrong about my favorite show of all time, then turn around and think nothing of it. Think I'll try and cut my rant show there, cause I could go on about the physiology of the internet. Bottom line is, I think you are a big person putting up with what you have already. You have a lot of passion that goes into your work. Even over the time I've watched, you've grown in content strength. If you manage to read this I hope my faceless post helps a little, cause I really want to see more content! I love it, and 250k subscribed as of this message can't be all haters! Anyways, again, love your work and I hope to see more in the future! I come on youtube for two things: Cartoons & Video Games! You fill at least one of those needs ^_^
I love your videos, man. Not many reviewers I find that sometimes look at stuff at your level, and then you point things out that make me have to pause and go back, think it over and maybe nod my head or scream a loud "WHAT!?" startling my husband in the process. Please rest, health before demand. Stress, anxiety, depression, and so on are all a real bad mix. It didn't lead me down some good thoughts for a while. Those who understand and follow you will be here, the rest that leave were not worth the time, or maybe not even in the loop of what's happening. Take some time to sit back, enjoy some peace time, and disregard the angry buzzing from people who want something you are not. I'm not entirely sure of what happened because of both commissions, being busy, life, Hurricane Irma, and a cold, but I know you are stressed out. I can hear it, take a break and sit back and drink some of you r favorite cold drinks, maybe watch a few old-school toons or two. Take it easy, man. We'll be here waiting for ya. Love and peace!
PhantomStrider i fell you bro
PhantomStrider I'm so glad you're supporting Mr. Enter. I watch all of your lists, Phantom ❤❤ Just like I watch all of Mr. Enter's animated atrocities and admirable animation
PhantomStrider Perfect speech bro.
Fortunately there are cartoons critics like you that are not total dicks, Strider. Thanks for stopping by and showing support to Enter.
Phantom this is why I have respect for you.
Go relax. Take a vacation. Get some juice. Believe me , I've done it for 2 years
TheUndeadGamer really?
KJ Setser I'm a lazy jack off who attempts change. I never said I abandoned it.
Apple juice is the best juice.
TheUltimateSucc Cranberry juice is the best juice, not apple.
Critica 77y You spelt white grape wrong.
the korra review was important because nobody talks about the bad parts and im glad you took the time and effort to speak of it in a respectable yet honest way
Wake me up inside yeah I didn't agree with a lot of it but at the same time I see where he came from
E;R had a Video Series about Korra.. okay he bashes Korra but I thought it was still entertaining
Right, I watched it and was like
"Jesus why did tumblr love this so much!? Oh right, bad taste"
K. Charrette tumblr likes it because they LOVE "Female protagonist", but thing is Korra was given a Tomboy Enviorment, making the "Female Empowerment" poontless
E;R came to that Enter Korra review and endorsed it. said he'd name his gay-baby EntE;R.
When Enter's haters pull out the usual arguments only to have those debunked, they wind up saying shit like this (this is from a comment on Turkey Tom's frankly disgraceful 4 minute response to "we need to talk"):
"It was his fault he got to this point. Ya Good luck dealing with this one."
This an argument I've never heard from Enter haters before and is apparently referring to something fucking _buried_ in his DA journal entries somewhere that is of no relevance to his actual UA-cam content.
He makes valid point when he would compare a reboot to TTG such as what works or doesn't
furyberserk saying he should only say it "5 times" in his lifespan is pretty asinine when it isn't something that can't be ignored
(kidding, I know this video didn't even go through you, but with the comments on editing being mentioned the joke had to be made)
Maybe not the right place but how does one get hired as an Editor?
Alpha Jay Show hello
#PrayforEnter
Alpha Jay Show Agreed.
Alpha Jay Show Hi dude. Your channel is awesome
My two favorite Reviewers :D
The blank screen makes it all the more effective.
@@flash90052 are you?
Also easy to make lol
*Amen* .
You are currently the only person to explain why gross out humor is fundamentally broken
And Korra sucks anyway. >:]
Alondro77 low quality bait
What did you say?
He made the point at the start that this had nothing to do with the response to Korra.
I'd still love to see him do more MLP stuff though. The later seasons are packed with pure gold.
Mob mentality is scary. People just wait for a justification to gang up on someone.
there's always an argument on authority. i was a part of a community where it was kind of hostile like that too. finding a good balance between responsible and lax helps with acceptance i feel. and i had the problem of just being the former. caused some backlash for sure, but i found the balance eventually
Damn dude. That just sounds awful. I'm sorry to hear that. :(
Autism (if that's what you're referring to) isn't a disease, it's a mental disability.
Blakely Wintersfield he's still know for reviewing popular stuff
Mr Enter I think I speak for most of your fans when I say that you make great, thoughtful content. I listen to your videos while I pull all nighters for college and I am always excited when I get a notification of your videos. If you need time off, don't worry, we'll be here. Greetings from Peru
Andres Sotil sure I mean I don't always agree but I try to give as much respect. Might have gotten a little heated with the last one but I see where he came from
Andres Sotil I watched every Animated Atrocities.
why is taking animation seriously seen as a problem? I'd rather you take it too seriously than you not caring about it at all, but that's just me.
Spyro The Gerudo THANK YOU
Teen Titans Go
4 Years
Constant -tantrums- Hate for 4 years
This kind of stuff is a problem.
Boshwa if they haven't improved over the course of 4 years then they still deserve the shit they get
Carl Bloke So are you planning on repeatedly watching the cartoon that everyone is -throwing a tantrum- complaining about with the off chance it might improve?
Because giving your attention to the thing hate is perfectly logical.
Boshwa so you expect people to criticize for no reason by not seeing the show? Such pathetic logic
Hey Shadow, love your content.
Well said
Well, I know one guy. But I don't want to name names
+Trixie Lulamoon Shadow's probably not going to mention, and for good reason. Naming names -- and consequently, allowing people to harass them -- is one of Mr. Enter's past mistakes that people keep criticizing him for. He would not want these names specified.
Finally you got passed your two sentences. Lol
We understand, Enter
+Timothy McLean
To be fair, the main reason people don't like Game Theory is because the channel makes a lot of really dumb points and a lot of their videos are full of really poorly thought out theories....
Why is it okay when some other UA-cam Critic angrily hates on a popular cartoon, but when Mr.Enter does the same thing, he's the fucking devil?
TheSNESGrounder scapegoat mentality is sadly something that still exist in our species as human beings.
he's popular and his opinion is full of educated, reasonable points.
TheSNESGrounder if anyone angrily hates on something with no intention of comedy they look retarded.
I honestly, actually rolled my eyes when the 'taking things too seriously' criticism came up.
Edit: When are people gonna realize this medium DESERVES GO TO BE TAKEN SERIOUSLY!
IWannaBeYahtzee3 IKR AMEN
Same people that want animation to be respected....
When a Kids Show Takes suiside as A Joke Twice?! It's Serious now...
well yes thats true but i feel like if you take it too seriously to the point where you yell at things is not smart
amen
Your videos are way more in depth and thoughtful than MarsReviews or any of your detractors. Also, you don't use words like "faggot" to describe things you don't like. Plus, you don't have to defend yourself. If you were a star athlete, people would say that you could "let your playing do the talking". I say take a break, and see how you feel. If you don't want to review anymore, I'll certainly understand (especially as someone who has struggled with mental illness in the past). Your well being and personal happiness should come first.
Jimmy Whisper ua-cam.com/video/EAOmXzjrSr8/v-deo.html (Skip to 7:39 in the video)
Mars reviews little rant was idiotic, he flat out insulted people. Plus I feel like he is is a ignorant piece of shit..
Jerm man Taking MarsReviews 100 percent seriously is your first mistake.
Wow the comments on that video were toxic as heck.
Don't people have anything better to do than to trash talk others? Geez
I never took him seriously tbh, the guy came off as a huge douchebag
I hated it it was no where near the original
Nexusgamer the boss A. Zuko isn't the current Fire Lord; his daughter is
B. Zuko knew lightning bending from Iroh
I really liked your vid on that! Even if I am a fan of Enter, I thought you made a lot of good points when it comes to people not getting dark humor
> Sees a comment from someone you don't like on a video talking about how holding past mistakes over ones head can be stressful
> Asks that
I CAN'T be the only one that sees the irony in that? Tell me that was the point.
I just want to say, while I haven't watched all, I like watching your commentaries. I think you do well and bring up good point without trying to actually attack others. I hope things go well... Sorry if I sound too much like a sap.
Drunken Worlock you think you're real funny don't you
You just got to just roll with it, but I completely respect your opinion
BlackCriticGuy didn't expect to find you here! 😮
BlackCriticGuy Wow! I really didn't expect this.
BlackCriticGuy I agree I'm not a UA-camr but I have a job and I know how stressful and hard you work to get shit and I get it so take a break and think about some stuff.
I will also be Mr. Enter paladin of support as well. :)
BlackCriticGuy Gotta say did not expect to see you here.
Enter.
I totally agree if you're talking about who I think you are, with the initials CC.
1717Dave yep
As much I have criticized you in the past, I really hope you do feel better. If you had a Discord server, I'd join it.
Please don't delete this video, or, at least make it a separate, in-depth discussion video. I feel as though the points you made in this video are very important. Well... to me anyways.
Take your time, please.
Your mental health is the top priority, take your time to heal.
"Someone does honest and genuinely good critiques to cartoons? Quick, tear him down, we can't have that"
Haters in a nuthell
masterxehanort3 Sadly
People don't think he does honest and genuine critiques to cartoons tho. That's the criticism.
Sean Stewart except he actually does give valid criticism but because of his past mistakes, people automatically devalues his future reviews
Not really. Mr.Enter has attacked writers. He got better over that, but he still is harsh.
Nachover 9000
That's because there are many retarded people trying to excuse their dumb behavior with "I'm autistic", even if they don't really have any diagnosed form of autism and are just self-diagnosing.
Take a break?
Sure dude, take some time off and recharge, read a good book or learn how to cook better, just take an internet break.
or watch a good book (get it)
I think it should be FIRE,EARTH,WATER,
DIVERGENT,FAULT IN OUR STARS,HUNGER GAMES,etc.
Internet is stress
can someone give me a link to his novel, it sounds cool
This is important, breaks from internet can be very good for people. Just, some great, relaxing cooling time. Take an internet break and just relax in what ways you may enjoy
Cooking can be a great stress reducer.
If what Im doing isn't enough then Im done."
Got a different job and am moving on in two weeks.
Valiant Weaver Excuse me but what in the fuck is a "Lube Technician"?
Valiant Weaver so true man
You have shown me cartoons I would never even bother looking at because they made one of your lists,
I think you just need a breather, to calm down, collect yourself, indulge, and come back, we will be here for you, and most of the comment section looks like they are behind you too.
Man, I got Autism and anxiety, so I sympathize. Take the break, man. Stress can put you in the hospital.
Same, autism and anxiety which join together to create depression. It's rough to deal with, and no one ever wants to listen and help you through those things unless it's their job to (counselor, therapist, ect.) it's annoying.
It can. I know it too.
I hope you feel better soon! Stay strong!
Mr. Snarky Omg its Black Adder!
7000+ likes, 327 dislikes.
We've got your back, buddy.
You deserve it
Juan Pablo Lamas I be one of these 10 guys that doesn't comment.
Hey, that's fine. Take a break. We understand.
We love you, Enter.
Fuck man, I hope you get better.
Profound words man.
"The past doesn't define who you are. Just gives you the starting point for who you're going to be." Red vs Blue Season 10
People saying that "It's just a cartoon, don't take it seriously" better also be against movie, cooking and music critics too.
"Oh, shut up, it's just a movie!" "Oh, shut up, it's just food!" "Oh, shut up, it's just noises!"
Animation is a form of art, people downplaying it as something that shouldn't be taken seriously pisses me off and makes them look like snowflakes that can't stand criticism.
But I think people say that "Uh, just don't take it seriously" because they have no better argument. Again, they better be against Nostalgia Critic or YMS because they take movies seriously.
t h I S
Bacon Basket Aww what a cute child! Thinks they're so smart! How about you go back to school twerp?
JeremySherman327 I feel the same way. He's not only taught me about cartoons, but he did a great job pointing out how awful Autism Speaks is.
Take a hiatus, but I hope you return. You are the first cartoon reviewer I discovered on UA-cam and you'll always be my favorite.
I appreciate you being this open with us.
Oh jeez... Heavy stuff... I feel you, i suffer from the same problems.
Take a break bro and stay strong.
To quote the Kid Pix undo button: "Oh no!"
ZachAttrax And Knuckles too
I was hella into Kid Pix when I was in primary school! Glad someone else remembers it too! 👍👍
And Princess Peach
"I've got a boo-boo, yeeeah."
P.S. Screw the cartoon community, you'll make your own cartoon community! With blackjack! And hookers!
Winter X And drugs!
Peyton Jackson what o.o ?
Farrel Samuel I mean NOTHING! No drugs here! Just blackjack and hookers I totally don't have any drugs planned for the new community!
Peyton Jackson hmm... seem suspicious...
Farrel Samuel Nope nothing suspicious here! 😓
You are one of my favorite cartoon reviewers on UA-cam. I'm so sorry to hear about all the shit you've had to take. If you need a break, take as long as you need. Your mental health is WAY more important than getting more videos out.
Wow, taking the highroad with internet drama despite how good drama is for your channel.
+respect from me dude.
Same ton of respect.
Respect indead.
This spoke to me at a personal level. Your subscribers look up to you. Do what you need to do for your wellbeing.
Your videos helped when I was depressed. I thank you for that
you are allowed to take a break dude. seriously. stress can kill you. take a break
Mr. Edwards typical troll
"We need to talk" "I need a break"
MrEnter, are you breaking up with me?
NateTheNerdy He realized he loved me better >:)
[Unknown] [Name] spy! what about your...girlfriend?...wife? What are you and scouts mom?
That was so sad. Thank you for sharing your opinions.
I'm so sorry, Mr.Enter. Please, take a rest. I hope that you'll be okay.
I'm honestly inspired over the fact that you've managed to accept that it's part of you and move on. this actual video in itself has ironically (?) calmed my anxieties because this isn't and isolated case, and we can be strong together, in time
I remember you. I'm glad that you're still moving forward.
you're one of the strongest people i know. god bless you dude :) also, agreed about everything that you said about enter!!
Take as long a break as you need
Wouldn't it be cool if someone made a video named "My Thoughts on Mr. Enter" and it was a really nice video complimenting him.
Yay.....
No it wouldt.
That's what I would do. Enter is my favourite UA-camr
I'd probably do that just to rave about him being an inspiration and how he helped me find another great inspiration.
Reckno64 couldn't agree. It's also sad that even Pan Pizza seems to Crap on Enter as well. Even using the "he takes things seriously" nonsense
It bugs me that anyone would be okay with one guy getting this much hate and I feel anim8ball is being passive about it, which ticks me off a bit.
well he kind of did still pans video ideas
It's entirely fine if you take a break. The viewers care more about your health and happiness more than the content.
Mr. Enter, I Respect You. Take A Rest If You Need To. Just Remember. When You Come Back, We'll Be Waiting, With Open Arms, And An Appreciation Of Your Work. Move Forward Matey, Move Forward.
J Goody Writer Hong Lowercase letters. A wonderful thing.
Now that's not very nice, is it?
Well said
I respect you so much Mr Enter.
We'll understand if you take a hiatus. Feel better soon. ✌🏼
Don't worry John. We understand.
I hope you are okay Mr.Enter.
"For example examples, Matpat, The Game Theorists was getting repetitive and was focusing less on science and to heavily on lore theories (Their where some other issues but these was one of the major ones), some people pointed it out, so Matpat righted the ship (Pretty quickly at that), however everyone is still talking shit about him, as if nothing has changed."
Matpat gets disliked because he skimps out on researching(his For honor video was one of the most hilariously unresearched things I've ever witnessed)- and he still does skimp.
(While I may mention a few videos I've made, know that I'm only using them for examples.)
You, Mr.
Ava Berman agreed
As someone who is also on the Autism spectrum, I do look up to you as an inspiration because you are not afraid to share your opinion, and you have done what you consider to be your best. I respect that.
Take a well-deserved break. Let those creative juices take some time to re-fill, and let yourself get into the world outside of your job right now until you feel ready to go back.
Stay safe, Mr. Enter.
"And despite having an army of friends who all call him an inspiration, he remains a conversation piece among those who can't understand..."
