This will be my second year of not doing Spartan since I started in 2017. It’s getting to the point to where I can’t justify the cost with travel, lodging, and race costs to them now charging 30 bucks for photos. There’s nothing close to PA within driving distance anymore like Ohio which was a 30 minute drive for me. It’s coming down do the point where I’m getting 1 to 3 races in if I’m lucky.
Sorry to here that, that stinks. We're hearing the same thing quite a bit. Too expensive, not enough races, not enough locations. The paying for photos thing is a bad move I think. A lot fewer people are sharing their pics on social like Instagram. I see it happening right now. This is a huge free marketing resource that Spartan is now missing out on. Not good.
@@OCRKings I agree not sure why they thought that was a good idea to charge for photos. So far that hasn’t happened with Tough Mudder so it might be a trial run. They moved the Ohio Spartan to say it’s Cincinnati but it’s actually in Indiana, their location description is as bad as how they count miles 😂😂

It is a crappy situation. Less races, less race franchises. We're hoping for a change. Fingers crossed that things improve, and that more locations become available.
I did this very same race last Saturday to earn my first Spartan Sprint medal.Austin here I come for the Super.
