It’s because the sales people are mostly complete idiots. Half of them don’t even know if a particular model comes with tires they are that dumb. I don’t even know why they employee them.

One small but important misstep around 10:30 in. Rav 4 hybrids only come with ECT transmission. Gas only has 8 speed auto.
Debating about trading in my 2022 Toyota Corolla hatch for this. We have some snow in the winter for northern AZ, and want something with AWD that slightly bigger.
Always enjoy your videos, which are excellent and full of enthusiasm. For me, if not for its crappy small turbo engine, I would pick the Honda CRV over the RAV. CRV has more leg room, better exterior styling, etc. Because of Honda’s turbo engine, I would purchase the RAV if I were in the market for a new SUV.
The next RAV4 needs to match the CR-V and other competitors in interior space.

Could you do a comparison of features and gadgets between the RAV4 Prime SE and the RAV4 Prime XSE?
I ordered the hybrid model.
What do you think about Toyota never refreshing the tail lights on the Rav4 since 2019? Usually Toyota tweaks the headlights , tail lights , front end and rear end after the 3rd year of a new model. As an example : a 2019 Rav4 LE looks identical to a 2024 Rav4 LE except for the headlights.

Have they fixed the gas tank issue. I've heard , not really.
Also have they improved the seats since 2 yrs ago? For that price the seats are hard, more for an economical priced car.
I dig that ambient lighting, my XSE doesn't have that. My biggest issue with mine is the wireless charging pad is too slippery so the phone slides out of that perfect position and stops charging. ANNOYING and like they didn't bother to test it and see it should be grippier rubber!

@@richardmorse5307 The so-called sunroof, or moonroof. Putting a hole in the roof is just asking for trouble.
@@sidney4329 I’ve had a 1998 Honda Accord for 26 years with a sunroof and have never had any problems with it leaking or otherwise. I’m not a fan of if them but I’d say you’re complaining needlessly.
@@richardmorse5307 You may be right, but I've seen enough complaints from those whose roofs have leaked to question it.
@@sidney4329 I never use the sunroof but for some reason I like the exterior look of it. I think it’s standard on the XLE and above so if you want a RAV4 you may have to accept the LE trim. I think if you stick to Honda or Toyota you’ll be fine. There is a minor maintenance required (see the Car Care Nut) again I don’t think anyone cleans the drains to prevent leaks. It’s a tricky thing for the manufacturer to install and for those who love them a very inexpensive way to get one. I’m done.
I ended up buying my wife a 2024 Limited Hybrid with every factory option for $44,900. Zero dealer markups. All the local dealerships around me, with the markups were asking near 51-52k!!! The toyota dealers are THE WORST!!!!!
I don't understand the Platinum package. Doesn't Toyota already give two years of maintenance? And why does it have paint protection in the Platinum and then separate paint protection film for $748?
A couple more oil changes/ tire rotations than a regular new toyota. The platinum package is a liquid sealant, like wax. The separate paint protection is a physical film. But $450 for some fiber optic lights is total bs😭 correct me if I’m wrong 12:17 .🤢🤮
Hi Jeff, I'm getting the Rav4 Prime Se. Can i add fog lights to them at my local dealership? I noticed it doesn't come with them. Also, memory seats should be standard on the Rav4 Prime Se.
to get the accent lights (no fog lights) you have to buy the RAV4 Prime XSE.

@@tsdr6830 Not on the RAV4 Prime SE. You get vertical accent lights on the RAV4 Prime XSE and you will get other features like cooled seats and an either a 10.3 inch screen or a 12.3 inch multi-media screen. My sister just bought a new 2023 RAV4 Prime SE. She got heated seats and a nine inch multi-media screen and a power rear hatch and 302 hp. Both she and her husband love their new RAV4 Prime SE
@@Irishmanbikes Just got mine yesterday. Rav4 Prime Se and loving it so far. I would have gotten the Xse, but it comes with the moon roof and I'm not a fan of the moon roof. It's made of tempered glass and tempered glass has issues, so I just went for the Se.

great car. i wanna one. only 2 things disappointed me, little disappointed it is not flat folded back seats, and very disappointed it is headrests in toyotas they just 45° to front. head in front when you driving, for me it is very uncomfortable. make me slouch.
Many of the add-ons are standard on the Mazda.
Mazda is a force to be reckoned with lately! They need to improve their mpg's though!
Jeff, this is not a Hybrid, and there is no electric motor, therefore the output power is not 219.😅

By adding $4000 in over sticker padded options you pricing real people out of the market. I wouldn't even go to a dealership that did this. The auto industry as a whole has shot itself in the foot. The economy is tanking and automakers are playing games.
Lots of people like options added to vehicles. This specific one is loaded for the buyers who want these options. Obviously not every one will come in with this many factory upgrades.
This is why I filmed this one - it’s very rare
@@Toyotajeffrare indeed, I haven’t seen proximity sensors on a rav4 that isn’t a limited or prime with premium package
Yeah, it’s sucky but for a non-hybrid people are getting these thousands below MSRP now so lots of these add-ons are now ‘free’ in a sense. For hybrid they might still be holding you over a barrel (dunno on RAV4 as looking into something above it) but plain gas they have lost their leverage.
