- The first of two new fireboats for the Port of Long Beach, "Protector," was welcomed into service on June 8, 2016. The state-of-the-art boat is designed to combat blazes on today and tomorrow's big ships.
No they had the same designer. All the Robert Allen boats look similar. I built this boat it is most advanced fire boat in the world it even has top secret tech on it.
It has no top secret tech on it. It's a civilian craft, not a navy ship.
I worked directly with navsea on this project. Not sure of the exact security clearance of the tech but there is a piece of equipment on this boat attached to the cburn system that we weren't allowed to see.
@@ph11p3540 @joedecker3962 is correct about the CBRN system. It probably was classified at that time. I'm not sure if is or isn't now because it is what they put on U.S. Navy ships. Basically, once the CBRN system is activated, it's like being in the space shuttle. everything you need to survive is enclosed. it was designed to protect against nuclear and biological attacks. The LB fire boat can activate CBRN and go right into any kind of smoke and not have to worry about the crew breathing in toxic fumes. It's really cool.
Its Totally Obvious That They Copied LAFD Fireboat # 1 And Top Out @50,000 Gallons Per Minute
Probably because the lafd lbfd and fdny all buy fireboats from this company
It's actually NOT a copied, Yes they have similar designs and traits because they need to do the same things but that's where it ends. The two LB fire boats are the most state of the art advanced fire boats in the world, at least they were when they were built. I'm not sure it that fact is still true today but they were a few years ago.
