I submitted a support ticket to Microsoft about the CJ4 flickering decal livery issue on Nov 20, 2024. Microsoft said that the issue was resolved, but it wasn't fixed in the 0.1.2.7 big update, so I'm still waiting as well.
picked it up recently. loving it! I'm normally more of a modern avionics kind of guy, but I am having a blast too. Learning it slowly. I am on flight number 3 so far. The freighter is my favorite.
For those commenting on flickering liveries if you uninstall and reinstal the game it fixes the issue. since the game is streamed there is a cache folder that rolls over as new data is introduced however on updates the roll over might not happen.
I am just starting out MSFS 2024 and flying the c172 on milk runs on career, but I'm already feeling the lack of anybody caring what you do there. Nobody talking to you en route, nobody to ask you to hold/proceed direct or whatever. There are a lot of videos, but is there any overview stuff about dlc's, extensions or third party stuff that turn the living world into something that actually care how you tread the skies?
Love this thing, so annoyed it hasnt been ported over for people who bought it from the 2020 marketplace! Been in-touch with the guys from FSW and its entirely a Microsoft thing. Also have you changed out the mic? sound a little different. Annnnd just wanted to add, landing this thing can be a little tricky, I like landing at around 120-123. The biggest thing to get used to is just the way it feels. The lack of fbw means you feel everything, its caught me out a few times. Highly recommend, only using reversers when all wheels are on the ground. Its pulled a wing up a couple times when I do it too early. That and getting used to the roll rate.
I hate to admit I thought the nose wheel was on the ground, didn't even realize I was still two wheelin' lol. And Microsoft seems SO slow rolling out features for the new sim, they should have released it in January. My theory is they wanted the Christmas sales. And I'm on the same mic, using a Telex airman 750!
@ it took me quite a while to get used to how the AOA felt in the cockpit with how much you can see over the dash, hence I use a lower cockpit view to get “some” sibilance of what my aoa is. Oh and 110% they wanted those Christmas sales. Backfired bigtime. Reinstalled 2020 yesterday just to fly my 146!
@@budgetflightsim Just need to add, could not of released in Jan. People are recuperating in Jan after Christmas/boxing day. It would've been best by Late Feb/March. I've heard through the grapevine everything was all good and working, then days prior a game breaking bug was found which corrupted everything.
Seeing that takes me back to the super-early versions of MSFS, FS 3.0, where the Leerjet 25 was one of the very few default aircraft available - yep am old lol. Safe to say a lot of stuff has 'fallen through the cracks' in FS2024....
Agreed, Say Intentions is much better and worth it!
@@terracinaj MUCH better. If I hear another robot from BATC say “NEGATIVE” I’m going to go bananas

@@Henkerhaus I miss the CJ so much and cannot stand to look at it flickering. Ridiculous
uninstall and reinstall the game.
Glad somebody else noticed the flickering on the cj4!
@@buckzx12r it’s TERRIBLE

I haven’t tried the cargo one yet, I gotta try that out. But this thing oozes steeze 😎
@ I’m so used to AT and the Airbus that my first flight was something else… lol but such a lovable aircraft. FSW really killed it!!
SORRY about the volume of BATC, yet another pitfall of the program.

I have already done that about two weeks ago, I guess Ill need to do it again.... thanks asobo
@@budgetflightsim its really annoying ive just gotten in the habit of doing it every update just in case
@ not a bad idea. I’ll probably do the same tonight
i just did it and not only did it not fix the CJ, all of my settings and community folder are nowhere to be found. So no, this does not work
@@budgetflightsim really! wow the 2024 team said to do that and it worked for me... what a game
Give FSHud a try. It vectoring is pritty good. And you can talk to it aswell. All together more complete program than BATC
@@vrj0 I haven’t heard of them yet, I’ll check it out!

real pilots fly steam gauges.
@@topofthegreen true, but in the real world I’d very much enjoy glass also. Especially in a quick jet haha
