The second verse is them overshadowing her while she tries to fight through them. They try to control and suppress her but she pushes back. In the end when she's in pearls, they kneel to her while she dances because they realized that they can't control her.

I just got goosebumps through the whole mv. Man! There’s just something about that black & white effect, that mask, that tune- idk what it is but it feels like art. Gosh she’s so talented ! Really love the choreography, the development of the female dancer in reference to the male dancers around her. At first she is under their control, she moves how they want her to move, like a puppet, and they constantly overshadow her and she is always behind them. Then she tries to free herself from their control, she tries to resist from following their direction and slowly but surely they begin to move with her instruction. Near the end she finally manages to rid their influence, and she is able to move freely among them and they follow her flow instead. Well done!

@@aininsofiya2574 She used to be under YG Entertainment but the company disbanded her group (2ne1), she stayed there and recorded a lot of songs but the company didn't let her release even one song. The company neglected and treated her bad so she left them last month. So in this song, she is saying that company can try but they will never find another woman like her, they will regret taking her for granted.

They can be also understood as ex gf's breakup song, like this one having lyrics "You opened your eyes with her everyday, closing them with me sometimes" etc. But we all know who she's so done with: YG. And watch THNX music video too. If you watch it, basically the cherry is her and the cook is YG ent/YG papa (she always uses cherry emoji on ig)

I love how her clothing seemed to evolve as the song progresses. At the beginning of the video, she looks as if she's hiding beneath her clothes - dressed up with less jewelries. But at the end of the video, she looks a lot more bolder and glamorous.

The second one looks a lot like what she used to wear in her baddest female era, the last one is more like her MTBD outfits. The first one should be her career beginnings. This woman is really, truly a strong independent woman and she has always inspired me so much. After everything she's been through, she is back on her own two feet and she's ready to conquer everything on her own along with Bom, Dara and hopefully Minzy and I am down for it.
