Excellent, Dan. I really geeked out on that. Josh has got to be the best communicator of complex things I have ever come across. I wish I was nearby so I could take my Ferrari to him for the shit I can't do.
I just went over this with my buddy with his BMW. I have a base understanding of getting a stoichiometric burn now, with Josh and a guy I met at a car show last weekend that is adjusting is own 88 Countach. Plus it's fun to say but hard to spell. Stoiciometric.
Thank you for F40 content ❤ and Josh's knowledge also the guy who owns this collection and Glenn that Pontiac that looks like it was from The Rockford Files in the late 70's (James Garner) also the Lancia Fulvia race (rally) car, Mini Cooper from the 60's and thanks Exotic Power & Performance too 😎👌
That burgundy station wagon in the the background is a mk1 ford cortina estate with lotus cortina wheels and hubcaps rare in the UK where its probably built I'd imagine even rarer in the states
@@normalguysupercar There is a port for measuring CO before the catalytic converter. Its always been that way for all cars. They said there were catalytic converters on the F40. FYI
The customer wasn't giving me much access. I also explained that it's more likely the throttle bodies need to be balance checked and adjusted, not just a mixture trim adjustment. So I tried to do what I could with the constraints applied.
@@normalguysupercar Sorry I called him the American Iain Tyrrell in the last video, whats his address I will send him an old rubber tube for this tool kit ✌️ lol!
You actually cant see the throttle bodies in this video. You're just looking at the intercoolers and couplers to the upper plenum. The throttle plates are down low, in the manifold runners.
In my humble opinion, looks wise, this is the most beautiful car ever made. I would love to see a restomod on one with a La Ferrari engine and 6 speed manual. It's kind of crazy that the F430 is faster than this car.
Nice F40. There was one for sale some weeks ago in the Ferrari dealer near my house. Went there just to see it. Amazing car
Yeah they are simply incredible
As they say, "I've got to get me one of those!" lol
Man, Josh has an understanding of engines on a way other level. Impressive.
You gotta love Josh , he can be so snarky yet he knows his shit and everyone knows it.
Lol yes
Simply amazing, even after all these years.
Couldn't agree more!
Excellent, Dan. I really geeked out on that. Josh has got to be the best communicator of complex things I have ever come across. I wish I was nearby so I could take my Ferrari to him for the shit I can't do.
He really can explain it quite well
Wow, I gotta get mine! We need to give Josh several F40s to work on!
Haha I agree. I want to film him working on several F40s
Fred, I support this cause.
These and the Lusso series are some of my favorite content you've put out. Learning about the mechanicals of these legendary cars is such a treat.
Thanks

Yeah, I just say AFR cause that's a hard word. LOL!
Man....that sounds amazing !!! JOOOOSSHHH (WOOOO).... always great to see you doing your magic !!!
More to come!
Oooo.how exciting...thanks Dan !!!
I enjoy the maintenance videos you make into 2 parts . Second part is always something to look forward to .
Thanks
The legendary F40 👌 as they say in
Italian:”Perfecto!”
Yes indeed.

You are welcome on all accounts. 😁
"we are worried about bumper fires", says Glenn with the Mclaren Senna shirt. 😜 Awesome to see and hear this rare car. More please Dan!
Lol valid point
That F40 is nice and all but that Alfa with the bumper deletes at 6:35 🤤🤤🤤🤤😍😍
LOL at comparing any Alfa with an F40.
To be fair, there's a lot of crazy cool cars in that collection.
@@christschool LOL something that’s unobtainable vs something you can get if you work hard.
Josh is unbelievable!
Indeed
Great video Dan. Very informative even for my lowly 355 lambda sensor CEL issue
Haha thanks
There's a fair bit of overlap between the 2.
That burgundy station wagon in the the background is a mk1 ford cortina estate with lotus cortina wheels and hubcaps rare in the UK where its probably built I'd imagine even rarer in the states
Yup its very rare
Are you checking the fuel mixture before the catalytic converter or after the catalytic converter?
After and I'm not sure there are any cats

We just going to ignore the LM race car then.... :o
No it's just not what this video is about. I actually had a video discussing that car a while back
Goosebumps....
Yeah it's epic
what happened to the third video? Great vids as always !!
Coming out Saturday
I read somewhere that god calls josh when he needs help with his F40…
Lol
🤣
This.
I saw this car drive down my street the other day. I'm in Austin right off 2222/Mopac. The Blue painters tape is a dead giveaway...haha
Lol yeah that's a fairly unique "feature".
Sweet 962
Heck yeah
Your killing it man 👍😎👍 Josh is a freakin cool dude 🤘😎🤘
He knows his shit!

@@PixelVogue 🤣🤦♂️
Damn that F40 was mint!👌✨
It's in extremely good condition
Dan it is a epic show ✌️
Thanks!
Time for a swamp hybrid 296 engine update.......
I only see two throttle bodies?

THE GOOD OLE LM2...needs to be driven under a load IMO..
Yup.
All. The. Load.
Josh didn’t tape my 348 up like that when we ran the AFR cables. 🤔🤣. You need to start making Josh wear a doctor’s jacket when he dispenses tech info.
I like that idea
You didnt ask 🤷♂️
@@exoticpower8073 - 🤣🤣 true. Mine isn’t worth $1.5M+ either.
@@timpurcell6931 there was some concern the tape would leave adhesive residue, which cleaning would lead to scratches... next level preservation. 🤣
Was anyone else playing the "stoichiometric" drinking game watching this vid?
Lol!
Can you say it 10x fast
Does josh have his own channel yet?
Nope

Accurate.
Your Jaguar is about to break 6 figures.
This is why Ferrari needs a three seater! So Dan doesn't get left behind on test drives...
I agree!
@@normalguysupercar can you drive the original mini? LOL
i tought it was carburated
Nope
sweet F40
Heck yeah
can't access part 2 & 3, UA-cam says they are private .....
Correct. They haven't gone live yet
I would kill for that car.
Indeed
It's not alpha n. It is map based!
I want to see some big ass flames!!!! lol
Lol me too
Damn, simply beautiful 😍🥰
Yes indeed!
