- For my third Polly Pocket repaint, I asked you guys to choose and you picked Moon Rockin' Adventure from the Hidden Hideouts collection. I was excited to do this one because I've really been wanting to paint space-y things lately. I wanted to do a vibrant cartoony look that's futuristic but also retro. That makes total sense, right?

I think the Polly sticker on the top of the controller room is for playing/simulating the cero gravity out on space hehe

In a way, it's kind of good that these compacts are often a bit plain, otherwise we wouldn't want to use our creativity on them. Can't wait to customise some of mine 😊💕
P.S would you advise to definitely varnish after the acrylic paint? Do you think mod podge would be suitable? Xx
You're right, the fact that they're plain gives people inspiration to be creative with them! I don't recommend Mod Podge because it peels easily. You can try the outdoors version of Mod Podge which is stronger but because it's so thick, it will take forever to dry and won't be as spreadable in the little nooks and crannies of the compact. I recommend Varathane, Polycrylic, or Liquitex like the one I used in the video.

Thank you! When I'm painting, I keep wondering if I've done enough. Then I look at the before/after and really see the difference.
Do you know if painting polly pocket sets would devalue the compacts as time passes?
Yes any modifications devalue them. If you plan on selling these in the future, I don't recommend modifications.
