What a fantastic tree!!! you put so much work into it too. Now I have to find that green paint! A little tip for the lids. After you take off the metal lid on the tumbler you can screw that orange screw back on to the inner lid to help pull it out.
I am in LOVE with the texture of the glass you used Linda!! It really gives the tree fantastic dimension and the look of a real Christmas Tree! So BEAUTIFUL! ~~Chirsty~~
Great information, especially about using only water to smooth the sides, and beautiful tree project! Exactly what I need to do with my 35-plus years of stained glass chips. TFS😍
Linda I'm from PEI Canada and love watching you do your seaglass projects. I have been collecting seaglass for years and now I know whst to do with it. Love the tree as well. Thanks so much
Another Beautiful Tree. Love your directness with all the information. I really enjoyed your info on breaking the glass and the tumbling information. Thank you for sharing.
Hi, Your trees keep getting more beautiful with each project. I have learned a lot from you. They are amazing! I bought the black plate holder but l can't find an 8" plate Can you help me find one like the one you had? Beverley oakland. So. California Thx
So I bought the 8 inch stand to use to display things that I made with my 8 inch mold ( Its called 9 inch mold on amazon) I dont think i ever had a plate in it. You mean like in this video right?ua-cam.com/video/AgDUkk7D6XU/v-deo.htmlsi=qGTsj0U3Chr6rmmE. and here is the link for the mold amzn.to/45SON9z
I am new to your channel (and I definitely do not need a new hobby!), and you have hooked me - the beauty of the tree, your clear instructions, and your open discussion of why you are trying different materials, tools and techniques.
That is amazing! One hour is all you need with water? Awesome! Do you think the National Geographic tumbler is equal to this tumbler? Really beautiful tree! Thank you again.❤️
Linda you’re making me hold my breath! I can’t believe you didn’t get cut!! That’s amazing how great you do and know what you’re doing!! Love, Love , Love it!!
Shared 🌲 Hi kitties. The tree is beautiful. Loving it! You did an amazing job. This is my 2nd favorite of the glass and resin that I've watched on your videos. My absolute favorite of yours- is the Beatrix Potter bunny🐇- that was the best! The tumbler is cool, making me want to try this too. 'Always enjoy watching your projects. Have a great week
Linda your tree is absolutely stunningly Gorgeous. Thank you for sharing your tips on painting this. I have ordered alot of tools and a 8 in 1 heat press from Vevor in Canada. So far happy with everything i have received. Take great care and keep creating and smiling xoxo ❤
Yes I have, Oh my gosh I have so much of that. I bought a jar then lost it so bought another jar then as soon as I got that in the mail I found it. The funny thing is I always forget to use it. I need to put it in my resin room so that I see it every time I am resining. Thank you for reminding me. LOL
Well I have always tumbled my glass right from the beginning but mainly for the sea glass effect.. At the beginning I did do a few broken glass projects without tumbling but it always made me so nervous. about others cutting themselves. So I would not give those away but hang them on my own wall. So I first started tumbling the stained glass stems for my projects. And since then just to take the sharp edges off. And if you hav seen my most recent pink tree video i have discovered that you can tumble painted glass for a short period and it will smooth it enough so that you can't cut yourself but it will only take a little of the paint off.
This was last years christmas trees I think I used grit for this one and did it 8 hours or so but have now discoverd you can do it without grit and for just an hour or so ua-cam.com/video/pvk6GPPNtoU/v-deo.htmlsi=sn0j4GiAExqy-pDW
@@kellyskaggs7987 so when you’re trying to get it to look like Seaglass, you would use some kind of abrasive like grit or sand. I don’t feel like sand is as a abrasive as some of the course grits but it will still do the job. It will just take longer. If all you wanted to do is take the sharp edges off all you really need to use is water. at first I was using a little bit ofgrit but then I realized after hearing other people say that’s all they use is water, so I tried it and it works that is just to take the sharp edges off. You have to use some kind of abrasive material to get the Seaglass look. I hope that makes sense.
Well the best thing to do is to remember to place the glass the right side up if there is an existing hanger on the back. I can not tell you how many times i have finished a project to find that the hanger is at the bottom when I flip it over.LOL. But if there is not an existing one you can get a bunch of the saw tooth hangers those are easy to put on the top before you place the glass and resin. If you can remember to do it. You can also add after, but easier to do it before.
I wanted artists to know I purchased this tumbler from Amazon and I’m sure it was a refurbished used product. Be aware of this if you decide to buy from Amazon. My lid was scratched and scarred badly and a blue R sticker on it. I wrote the company and Amazon as no where did it state this was a refurbished product. Love the crazy glass lady though!
