I love the stained glass Garnet, in the background. And I like that you use the promarkers with the bullet and chisel nibs. It shows how versatile those can be, and that they make just as beautiful stuff as markers with brush tips, do. This is really pretty! I can't wit to see more drawings in this series. I love this so much. I adore these two too. I identify with them, with Garnet, so much. I feel so... Idk... It sounds dumb but... I feel so blessed to be alive in this day and age when pairings like this can exist! I would love to see Bubbline too! They're so sweet and the complexity of their relationship is very refreshing. I know part of the subtextyness is due to social/political reasons... but I also feel that Adventure Time, like Steven Universe, doesn't insult it's viewers' intelligence by giving us simple, 2D characters and relationships, with clear statuses. You know? I just kinda like that their thing is complicated and drawn out. It's one instance where I'm happy for it to never be resolved on the show. Never mind that it's pretty saucy that they'll have to get back together eventually since they'll both live forever, and at the end of days all they'll have is each other. OH could you do Willow and Tara? c: Beautiful work by the way.

It comes of as just another kids cartoon at first but the story is really clever and the characters' relationships and interactions are written very maturely (while still family friendly, of course). Kids who watch it would probably just see a plain old super hero TV show with pastel-coloured characters but, for the older viewers, there is a lot of thought that goes into it and each conflict is an allegory for a real life, sometimes quite dark, conflict. They even address consent at a few points in the show, without coming across as trying to shove a message down your throat. It's quite incredible, the topics that are touched on, and the feeling that they manage to convey. For a medium that is often seen as being for children, it definitely stands out and, I think, shows that kids' media doesn't have to insult kids' intelligence.
When it comes to Steven Universe shipping, I have two kinds; romantic and friends. For example, I see Steven and Lars in a friend-ship, and I see Lapis and Peridot in a romantic ship
