Are the "youngins" disrespectful or are you just not the target audience of mainstream hip-hop anymore? This is a tale old as time ... the old generation hating on the new generation because the world is changing and the old-heads can't adapt. The way y'all look at artists of today is the same way the older generation looked at y'all when gangster rap in the 90s became mainstream. Just accept your time is up and the kids are doing things differently. If things stayed the same then the music would become stagnant and stale, don't be bitter about evolution.

Most artists are just being lazy they just taken off of somebody else instead of creating their on lane. This is why people like Lauryn Hill, Missy, Maxwell, Erykah Badu, Jill Scott and some others can stay away for a minute and always have a following waiting for them to come back, because their naturally creative and have their own lane.

Single are outselling albums because NO ONE BUYS CD’S!!! When the MP3 players came out it changed the game. Most new cars now in days don’t even have a slot for you to put in a CD. It’s becoming a thing of the past. And now that you can buy singles on music services instead of buying the entire album you can forget about album sales being through the roof like they were back in the day. It’s just not happenin...

Which is a shame because one song doesn't give you anything. An entire album is a lifeform and has depth. It the difference between me writing an article on the internet and releasing a book. Albums require hard work, dedication and depth.

All facts! I’m 24!!! Considered a youngster!!! Most ppl would assume I listen to what’s on the radio because I enjoy hip hop and my age!!! But it’s garbage!!! It’s a dam shame! The way I look at it!!! Wayne is to blame!!! He was and is extremely talented...but his lifestyle, look, and MOST things he would say on a song are the things that transcended into the younger people...he was the first to look like that, sound the way he did...he was so big that there are literally “artists” who sound almost exactly like him...and the crazy thing is they don’t even write good lyrics foreal...just a bunch of bullshit over a beat...it is definitely all hype!!! Hip hop is dead...old heads don’t wanna say it...there’s too much bullshit saturating the market! Bullshit hype took over!

This much more than the hype; this is about finding the biggest influencers to push a hidden agenda that your conscious understands, but WE ignore. These entertainers are used, and sadly, a lot of us blindly follow...
