Initially I didn’t understand the use of even a second monitor, but over time I saw the need for a second one to look up walkthroughs while I play, or play videos while mindlessly grinding in arpgs. This should fit the bill perfectly, great video!
Both my wife and i have been wanting a swcond monitor for when we work at home, this is great and nice to know we can use it in A LOT of other ways. Diggin the channel!
Great Video Dex is actually a Samsung only thing, and is a desktop environment baked in to the Samsung firmware. Android can be used as a desktop computer itself, but the UI doesn't scale that well which is why Samsung made DEX. There is also Software out there called Sentio desktop that tries to make up for some of those UI Scaling issues.
I use one in my studio for reading music while recording vocals. I added a Logitech remote clicker to advance pages. Setting the monitor to portrait mode. Works great using PowerPoint or Google Slides.
Nice review Steve. How about using it for Smart Home Dashboard. Using the SharpTools application you can easily create a free dashboard display if all your smart home devices. Once created you can monitor the status of your smart devices as well as control your devices. The SharpTools dashboard is compatible with SmartThings and Hubitat smart home hubs.
My second monitor died a while ago, used that one extend my desktop and as well to repair family PC's, this could be a good replacement and very handy for other uses as you mention, thank you!

My laptop screen would have the charts and this could have my scanners. Love the ideas, definitely going to look into getting one of these.

Spare monitor would come in handy right now. Also, Dex is on Samsung phones. But Google is working on a desktop version similar to Dex that lives on a phone. Love the videos, keep them coming

I think that monitor would be large enough to do a split screen and watch two security cameras at the same time if that would work. I just checked it out on Amazon....it even has two built in speakers. Amazing!
So apparently from everything I've seen, read, or talked to people about, it's not possible to plug in a flashdrive into a Portable Monitor and play the videos you have on it. That being said, I did a little searching around, and found something called a 'Digital Media Player.' Now, If I bought that, would that allow me to play the videos from my flashdrive on my portable monitor by using it??
Does your monitor work with frame rates other than 60p?? Because the one I have only works on my cameras at 60p. If I try 30p or 24p, it simply won’t work.

iPhone users are missing a lot of features. Any Samsung S8 or above has Dex. It works well. Apple will never do the same because they want their base to spend thousands on an iMac, iPad and iPhone.
I have uperfect portable 15 inch monitor with hdmi and ctype port it's excellent my son spends most of his time in hospital so I conect the fire stick I conect Nintendo switch thunderbolt 3 required I have a strong power bank but you can use Samsung notes comes kn straight away no need for extra power

Portable Display but need power just like any monitor, Thing's that make you go hmmm I guess my 55" TV is also portable as it can do the same things, and needs power just like the Leepow
Off-topic: - Be careful with ending many words with "-uh" or "-ah" (2:07 it was done twice in a couple seconds) as well as *many* other portions of the video - Why not have a disposable Android phone for your uses in your videos - Backlight on your head might be helpful (could be Home Depot lamp from the ceiling) would provide increased contrast
That looks like it would be handy to have connected to my PC as a second monitor. Most monitors would take up too much room on my small desktop, but that would be just perfect to display performance stats while I'm playing a video game.

A camera monitor! Genius! I'm always using my iPhone since I sadly don't have a flippy screen.

No Android does not come with Dex only high end Samsung's, but other are doing something similar
