Hercules saved him. Jack changed the way he looked at people because of how Hercules treated him. That's why Hercules asked to fight Jack, so he could be saved. Hercules wanted to show the gods that no human is beyond saving when shown true love and compassion. At the end of the fight you can see that even Jack regrets winning and having to kill Hercules, because he KNOWS he killed a genuinely good person for the amusement of others.
I think Jack realized how fragile the beautiful colors he sees and ever since the case with his mother, he believed the 'beautiful colors' aren't true and grew fond of exposing how fragile it is and how easy it is to change. I mean he got betrayed by his mother on a young age :/ and his battle with hercules made him realize the first time that true love really does exist, it must be a magical moment for him.
When all of the humans threw rocks at him I legitimately started crying, it just hurt me so much. I'm not gonna lie, it made me hate living and the world even more.
I feel sorry for him... It's sad that people see Jack as a monster for the atrocities he's committed, and yet no one ever wonders what drove him to be this way.

Jack would lead these prostitutes to his supposed place or sometimes alleyways and kill them. After he kills them or sometimes let them be alive but only if they severely injured, he would mutilate their corpses. And no, he does not rape their dead bodies and sell their organs.
