- Ngl, this was actually pretty difficult to compile compared to my last top 10 list video. The quality of every The Owl House episode is just a lot more consistent in terms of quality compared to Amphibia. But still, I stand by with my list and feel free to put down your top 10 list in the comments below.

here’s my top 10 favorite. this is just complete opinion bias and most of them will honestly just be based on whatever emotional connection i had to it.
10: Agony of a Witch
this episode made me sob. To me, Eda is such a 3 dimensional character. I have so much respect for her character and find myself attached to her. This episode absolutely broke me. Finding out about her curse, hearing the brilliant voice actor do an outstanding job at portraying the pain in Edas voice while trying to protect Luz. And the speech she gave Luz when she thought it was over? 10/10.
9: Hunting Palismen
I’m not the hugest fan of Hunters character. I mean, he’s okay. I just feel like he’s a sort of generic “lonely” character tbh. I get it, for his past, it might just be the fan base throwing me off. However, loved this episode. I am the most emotional when it comes to animals, so Luz’s courage and determination in this episode really resonated with me. The sibling dynamic between Luz and Hunter was also refreshing.
8: Them’s the Breaks, Kid
Okay, so, fair warning, Raine is my favorite character. There’s going to be a lot of their episodes in this list. I was ecstatic to learn about Eda and Raine’s past. I feel Eda gives great representation for ADHD in women. Love her character and the child Eda’s voice actor was top tier. Raine was just the coolest ever. I’m so happy that the pronouns never changed. It’s just- their pronouns. It’s that easy. There was never confusion or hate and the representation makes me so emotional every time Raines character just exists.
7: Follies at the Coven Day Parade
OK. When i tell you this episode BROKE ME. Ever since I was a child, I would have nightmares of my family or the people I love just forgetting who I am or the things we have been through. I also have BPD, super terrible attachment issues. So when Raine “didn’t remember” seeing Eda again and acted cold towards her, I was in shambles. EDA PLSYING THEIR DUET? “RAINESTORM, STOP IT” ? RAINES TEAR??????? Love getting my heart ripped to shreds. Also, the kiss on the cheek, the use of the word girlfriend so frequently, love the rep! Also the healthy dynamic of Luz and Amity gives such a great example for any type of relationship. The fighting together so smoothly, “you got it!” and at the end, when instead of being angry at Luz for not telling her, Amity opens up an opportunity for Luz to communicate and give Amity a better understanding of everything. (Which, she later ignores and has it makes another conflict, but we will get to that later)
6: Through the Looking Glass Ruins
So, in this episode, I was just happy to see Gus come to terms with his Illusion magic which is a giant stepping stone for him to better step into that magic and become one of the most powerful characters. I was really invested though, in the Lumity part of the episode. I was so invested in them getting the Diary. I always look for diaries at old libraries because I think they are the coolest ever. When Luz yelled, I was at the edge of my seat. I found it so sweet when Luz went through all of that to get Amity her job back. ALSO this episode Amity dyed her hair which became my favorite Amity look! It really showed her growth and transformation and I just loved it.
5: O Titan, Where Art Thou
Okay, this episode was a ride. The absolute emotion AGAIN in Edas voice. Seriously, kudos to Wendy Malick because oh my gosh. When she talked to Raine? That moment was so touching and you could see how much she deeply cares for Luz. The character development in Eda from being too cool for kids to protecting them with everything she has is amazing. Raines concern for Eda in this episode also creates more conflict and it’s just ughh. “No I- I saw that expression. It is that bad isn’t it?” UGH. And Luz overhearing had me in shambles. I was on Edas side and then I see Luz and remember her side and how hard she has tried to prove herself to Eda. It’s all so complicated and their fight BROKE me. Luz’s darker character really shows in this episode. “Are you happy now?” You could see the defeat in her eyes and hear it in her voice. And how desperate she was for Eda to do something after, which then led to anger when she thought they hurt Eda? AGH. AND THEN LUZ MEETS RAINE?? And then the end when they start carving her palisman? broken.
4: Knock Knock Knockin’ on Hooty’s Door
So I think this is a fan favorite. There was so much happening in this episode. From Eda coming to terms with her beast, and King learning more about himself and his origins? Overall one of the best episodes. The representation was obviously great. This is such a memorable episode for me for that reason. My favorite fictional couple became canon. The way it happened too seemed so relatable to me. the awkwardness was top notch. 10/10 episode.
3: Eclipse Lake
So, for the longest time this was my favorite. I loved everything about this episode. The vibes were there. I loved Amity’s look and her desire to be *the* girlfriend was super relatable. She is the character I relate to the most, with her past with parents, bullying, self esteem, gifted kid burnout, not knowing what *she* wants her future to be, gay panic, akward, all of it. I loved her dynamic with Hunter because I thought it was realistic. I’m positive I would be skeptical of him too in her place. I love how good Dana was at writing that when she said she relates to Amity the least. The fight was so smooth too. I loved it so much. Great episode.
2: Reaching Out
Oh my gosh. When I tell you, no movie or TV show of any kind has ever made me cry as hard as this one episode did. Like I said, I relate to Amity the most. I knew something was wrong with Luz. I definitely understand the hiding your feelings things behind jokes and a clown persona. The need for a constant distraction is definitely relatable. So, with Amity’s dad, I felt a huge relation. My mom was abusive. My dad was very standoffish and while he wasn’t abusive, he was absent. Emotionally. When I got older, I also would try to connect with him but he was always busy with work. Seeing Amity’s struggle with this really resonated with me. And, I am glad they got closer. Me and my dad are closer than ever now, so I loved seeing that on screen too. Luz was really reckless in this episode. Earlier, I mentioned the communication issues with Luz, and I said I would bring it up again. Here it is. I 100% get hiding your feelings, but Amity was obviously worried and KNEW Luz wasn’t okay. Amity opened up the door for Luz to communicate, but Luz further pushed everyone away, became more reckless, and lied to Amity. That had to have been frustrating. But, it’s not black and white either. Luz is grieving. When she finally does open up and communicate, she keeps brushing it off as unimportant, since it happened a long time ago. That hurt. A lot. When she couldn’t even walk and then laughed and joked AGAIN “whoops, got a case of the ol jelly legs.. i’ll catch up!” that HURTTT. If you’ve ever been in that type of emotional pain that inhibits you from walking, you understand. and she still brushed it off because she’s seen as the goofy character. She feels she isn’t allowed to be sad or feel negative emotions. It’s awful. “Thank you, for listening. I can’t wait to pick flowers with you” I was gone at that point. couldn’t breathe over my sobbing. Idk why this episode had me sobbing harder than some of the others in this show, but gotta put it at 2 for that.
1: Edas Requiem
OK. I know a lot of people will disagree BUT this is my list and, this is the episode I a,ways find myself rewatching. Eda had me so emotional in this episode. She portrayed the fear of abandonment that I also struggle with and manifested it with disguised suicidal behavior. “We may not make it out ourselves..” “But it’ll stop the emperor, right?” She was hopeless and wanted a way out. Obviously Raine is also my favorite character, so their introduction episode being #1 is fitting. “Go- You know I can’t stand an audience.” SHAMBLES. (Also, Darius is the coolest villain character in the entire world, love him)
I love the owl house so my top 10 episodes are 10. Understanding Willow 9. Enchanting grom fright 8. Hollow mind 7. Knockin, knockin, knocking on hooty's door 6. King's tide 5. Thanks to them 4. Elsewhere and elsewhen 3. A lying witch and a warden 2. For the future and 1. Watching and dreaming so I'm happy to support your channel and the owl house!

I’m surprised Reaching Out wasn’t in the top 10. It was the best Season 2 episode in my opinion.
If I did a top 20, it would be somewhere around #13 or #12. Tbh, it was rather hard to compile my top 10 favorite episodes for TOH due to the quality of the episodes of the show being a lot more consistent than other shows in my opinion.
Here's my top 10:
1. King's Tide (it's chaos and I love it, also has the best OST of the series IMO)
2. Watching and Dreaming (chaos, animation, and a great send-off)
3. Clouds on the Horizon (the mood, fight, & a Lumity kiss, sets up King's Tide perfectly)
4. Eclipse Lake (just love the atmosphere of this episode, love the slick animated fight)
5. Hollow Mind (reveals are executed perfectly, loved the very dark tone of this episode)
6. Thanks to Them (great balance of light & dark tones, the animation & fight goes hard)
7. KKKOHD (the overall balance of this episode is perfect, also I stan Hooty and Lumity)
8. Eda's Requiem (great OST, animation, introduction to Raine, Darius, and Eberwolf)
9. Agony Of A Witch (introduction to Belos, fight scene is super well animated & iconic)
10. Reaching Out (the brawl & the last 6-ish min. starting with the reveal of Luz's dad)

If you are going to do the list theories of the Owl House you should include that really stupid one that spawned in season 1 that said Hooty cursed Eda
I believe there was always a domino effect in Philip from the way beginning telling by the personality and how he perceive other people . Putting in us versus them . Mentality around the people that he was surrounded. And because his brother fell in love with the witch and made it all the more tragic for him in his view that he felt betrayed. Even now Caleb was right and Philip was all wrong. As Philip could not adapt to change to others only in his own way.

Hollow Mind while shorter than the previous 2 was the best episode of the show. It was dark and intense.
Seeing the synopsis for the episode, I knew it would be great but it exceeded my expectations and became my favorite episode of the series.

Hollow Mind is no doubt, the darkest episode of The Owl House. It was like psychological horror for Luz and Hunter. I wanted to crawl through the screen and give Luz and Hunter a hug 😔. But seriously, everything in Hollow Mind form start to finish is absolutely amazing. The way they told 2 stories at the same time, the main one on screen with Luz and Hunter going through Belos's mind, and Belos's backstory with his older brother in the paintings, amazing storytelling. The way the paintings throughout the episode just get darker by the end, when you find out that Belos/Philip killed his brother. When we find out what the sigil's are really meant for/what the Day of Unity really is, and finding the hallway of all the Grimwalkers that Belos's made of his brother, then murdered when they didn't live up to his expectations/standards 😔. The way Hunter goes from being happy and feels proud about being the Golden Guard, to completely traumatized after learning the truth about his life and identity being a lie is incredibly sad 😔, then him realizing that Belos might kill him if he returns to the castle in a panic attack, which was just heartbreaking to watch, this poor boy. Luz realizing that Belos is Philip, and that she helped him by accident was also heartbreaking to watch her breakdown.
This episode was really dark and intense.
10/10 episode.
I also want to congratulate the voice actor's because they did an incredible job. Hunter's voice actor (Zeno Robinson) really delivered that panic attack at the end of the episode.
The best episode came out on my birthday in 2022.
Ok so all in all, amazing list, but ive to disagree with watching and dreaming, im the only person ik that doesnt like it, for me honestly, its not top10 idk if even top15, i would throw cenvention somewhere is there probably, great eda vs lily fight and amity development
