Good honest look at the scope Dave, there isn't a lot out there about this scope, when I bought it I was already using my 2000 series Pico and was quite happy with it, I thought this would be a level up from that but as you've demonstrated it really isn't, except for the 4 channel option. It did come with all the leads etc that you've seen on the web and at the time it cost me just under 350 euro, I got it on a black Friday deal or some other promotion. Also everything it comes with is Hantek, all the leads etc are in Hantek packaging. Thanks for taking the time to share it with everyone.
Would say it depends on how you have it setup and what you are measuring. The MaxiScope has can go up to +/-100V without attenuation. Where as the picoscope (at least yours) can only do +/- 20V. That is problematic for using it on higher voltage systems such as ignition. The MaxiScope has better vertical resolution. It is also primarily meant to be used by people who work on autos and own their Autel scanner. It really isn't meant for anything but automotive use. The picoscope is a great general use scope, however their automotive lineup is 10k+ and really is meant for the future of automotive diagnostics. I work in a dealer and we have a picoscope of that nature. It is awesome... but it is practically useless and sluggish as there are too many components and wires to carry around. Easier to grab my autel and its scope! As it is a two in one combo to scan the car and scope it.
Noticed all those issues also.. But its better than the hantek. While on a vehicle the signals are pretty clean.. The filter function also helps.. At the end of the day its an entry level scope.. I would like to see how the autel ultra scope compares to this one.. Thanks for sharing
@@davesterl aye i do have the autel and hantek.. Hantek i use around the house while i use the autel on more of a professional level.. Pico is comming.. Just not yet lol

Hey Mr.Sterl If you still have the Autel scope could you try the test again with the Hscope software? I am curious if it might have an effect. I plan to give it a try myself when I can get a tablet that will get the job done for me. Might need a power supply work around like the gadgets playlist videos show?
i do not have the Autel scope, i sent it back to the owner. Hscope only works with Hantek, Owon and Hscope project scopes. I don't watch gadgets playlist show.
Thanks David for the analysis between the pico and Autel. I purchased an Autel as a diyer for home use, I’ve used it a couple of times on my Windows machine, not knowing any better, I purchased an Autel ms908pro with the maxiscope module built into it, disappointing! Especially after seeing the power in the uscope by aeswave. I’m ready to sell my Autel to buy a uscope. I’ve also after spending over $2500 on the 908 package that has issues with buggy software, I am very disappointed in Autel’s disgraceful ignorant customer service! Yes I am bashing Autel because I’ve spent so much money and their customer support service is disgraceful shameful to say the least! Don’t know If the Covid bullshit has hurt their customer service but I’m so pissed I about ready to sell all my Autel equipment until Autel can get their shit together!!!
Tryed to figure out what causes engine being stopped with Autel MaxiScope + PC. Actuall trouble happens once-twice per hour. You know what? This scope writes not full time, but into some windows, making some periods w/o recording! Made at least four cycles, and got every time the same sorry result. Frame BEFORE trouble, and the very next - AFTER. Never captured any useful info, spent hours! NEVER buy this product!

I've owned both and couldn't agree more with your comments, PicoScope all the way.

Thumbs up again. That signal generator you have there, is it just for testing scopes as I have one just like it and cant get it to work anything ??
Cheers, it is just a signal generator and has its uses. It won't drive anything that requires current to flow

Cheers Ian, measuring functions similar to pico
