      Considering the short period of time in which he has built up those records, none of his records was ever broken, because all of the records of today, was achieved in a much longer time frame.
      There is absolutely no comparison to be made.

      I have to agree. Look how easily Verstappen was able to overtake him with no competition. I respect Senna's records much more knowing he had to overcome *Alain Prost* as his teammate to get his numbers.

    I was lucky enough to be at Donington in 93 as a 10 year old, and it was my first experience of a live F1 race. I can still remember vividly how cold it was, the smell of the exhaust fumes and Senna's Ford HB V8 rumbling past. Seeing him go through the craner curves - just wow.

      Senna wore his "hero" title on his sleeve. For him, it was a matter of responsibility to be the best, because by being the best, he could help more people. A true hero gives their strength to the weak, never keeps it for themselves. Ayrton helped too many people to count, in more ways than he could've ever imagined.

      Es Verdad yo vi sus Competencias y era un Fenomeno en esos tiempos Dominaba la F1 como nadie los demas pilotos no podian Ganarle ni superarlo cuando Ayrton corria a gran Velocidad como un Rayo, Shummager ya corria en ese tiempo pero no podia ni Alcanzarle tuvo que morir Ayrton y ahi los demas pilotos buenos tambien comenzaron a surgir : pero cuando estaba vivo Senna nadie podia vencerlo era pura Magia, Genio, un talento Grande para pasar a todos los pilotos y llegar hasta el primer lugar noo era un Sueño yo recuerdo eso cuando era un niño y cuando murio senti que la F1 perdio al mas Glorioso piloto de todos encima los Autos de carrera de ese tiempo aunque eran ya modernos en comparacion con los de hoy dia eran menos avanzados y mas precarios los de hoy son.muy Tecnologicos los pilotos de hoy tienen mas Ventajas de ganar las carreras com un Auto que que hace todo por ellos: en cambio en el tiempo de Senna el Rey el se ingeniaba con Inteligencia, Estrategia y Potencia con sus manos al volante para salir Campeon del Mundo si no hubiese muerto el Rey hubiese ganado muchos mas Campeonatos eso te indica la Logica porque yo era testigo como cuando Senna corria cada premio no podian contra el los demas siempre estaba arriba tratando de llegar primero y ganar el Premio, no era un Fenomeno y cuando murio en 1994 Brasil el mundo conocio el duelo mas doloroso para una Estrella del deporte todos lloramos en esa Epoca, su partida fue muy Terrible y la mayoria de las Generaciones pasadas conocieron la F1 gracias a Senna , el hizo que la F1 sea el deporte mas visto de la Epoca despues del Futbol si asi paso y fue, todos queriamos ser como Senna y las mas grandes Marcas y Empresas estaban apoyandolo a Senna en ese Tiempo; siempre sera el mejor Piloto que nuestros ojos nuestra generacion de los 80 y 90 conocimos y vivimos❤👑💪😪😔

    It’s crazy this was posted, I’m very new to F1 and was looking this accident up just yesterday morning. I first knew who Senna was AFTER McLaren made the car just cause I wasn’t a F1 fan. There was a very young man who had passed away the day before on the same course, his name was Roland Ratzenberger. Inside of Aryton Senna car there was a Austrian Flag rolled up in the door pocket, which he planned to wave in Memory of the young man who passed just a day before and he never got the chance. That’s what hit me the most.

    • @gaborcsorba2543
      @gaborcsorba2543 4 місяці тому +3

      Senna did a lot of things that a lot of people don't, and not to get sympathy from others, but because that's the kind of person he was. After Ratzenberger's accident, he didn't get into the car and was at the hospital an hour later to find out if he was alive and didn't even recognize him when the doctor shook his head and said it was sadly over. he came out of the hospital without a word, head down. It is quite certain that he would have gone to Austria for his funeral.

    I was 7 years old when the great Ayrton Senna passed away that day at Imola. Still remember watching back in Brazil, not quite understanding the impact of that day, but remembering a somber quiet feeling in the room as we watched it unfold on television. My dad used to wake up early in the morning on race day, not to watch F1, but to watch Senna. He was a phenomenon.. The likes of which we likely will never see again, and have seen very seldom in ANY sport. A true genius of his craft, taken at just 34 years young.
    His legacy does absolutely live on, and will continue to do so. He redefined racing in the 80's and 90's, improved safety for drivers, even at the expense of his own life, but the way he raced is what has remained branded in the minds of those who saw him live.
    Thank you for this tribute Viviane! Your brother truly was one of a kind, and he remains one of my main sports heroes until this day. Muito obrigado pelas memorias campeao! 🙏🙏

      @kevinprengemann7456 5 місяців тому +18

      Dude, get back to reality please. The best he could do, was driving the car on its physical limits, not more. And he was not the only one who was able to do that in the history of formula 1.

    • @opper4325
      @opper4325 5 місяців тому +156

      @@kevinprengemann7456 are you sure about that? Because everyone who knew him at the time, driver or not, would describe him as out of the ordinary. His perception of the limit, his consistency in pace, his speed in qualifying. His natural talent. He was superior to the others. Prost was a computer, a racing genius who converted his intelligence into racecraft. But that was all conscious. It was voluntary. Senna didn't even need to do that. It came naturally to him. To me, that's the definition of raw superior talent.

    As a Brazilian kid I watched Ayrton every Sunday with my dad. Ayrton was the joy of our Sundays. It was a tradition for every Brazilian family to watch F1 and the go for lunch. He made us proud. I remember that dark Sunday and how I cried for him. Still cry today when I see him. Senna forever!

    "I refuse to walk away from a fight: it's my nature, to go right to the end."
    Senna is a Legend: "Simply the Best", just like Tina Turner´s song, made especially for him.
    I have a 12-year-old daughter, who was born 17 years after he has passed away, who not only knows Senna's legacies and countless achievements, but also trully admires him as a "Brazilian Hero".
    Can you imagine this? She NEVER saw at least 1 Senna race live, and yet, 3 decades after his departure, admires him as one of the best F1 Drivers and most persistents of all time.
