This reminds me of a concept I forgot about from way back in the SNES era. Thinking it could be interesting if a game changes it's appearance by gaining, or losing resolution/colors depending on how you played. Like a puzzle game and could be an advantage to complete a level, or solve a puzzle.

I can confirm this works on real hardware because a British UA-camr redhotsonic did an episode of his "But Does It Work on Real Hardware" series and the hack did.

Dunno if this exists but you should also find an smw hack where everything is Starfox stuff, where you play as Starfox and get Silver Rings to grow, Gold Rings for 1ups Lasers instead of fire flowers and Arwings instead of Yoshi etc. Who agrees that it would be epic?
